I recently had an awful experience with this dealership. I was in the market for a Chrysler Crossfire and found one available on their website. After communication with the online dealer, we "negotiated" a price should I want to purchase the vehicle. I use "negotiated" loosely as they were not willing to move a dollar on the price. I was told that they paid "too much" for the vehicle at trade-in and couldnt budge on the price. Now I will say that the vehicle was priced decently, but it fell right in line with KBB so I surely wasnt getting a "steal of a deal" as I was told by the dealer. Purchase price aside, I did get the dealer to agree to cover all fees other than taxes. So we set up a time for him to send a driver to me to examine the car and potentially make a purchase. The driver brought all of the necessary paperwork, I drove the car and was extremely impressed by how good of shape it was in for a 2005. I like the car enough to make the deal. However, when I sat down and looked through the purchase agreement, the document fee still showed up. The dealer took off a grand total of $63 off the purchase price. Already being slightly frustrated by the way I was treated, I told him that this is not what we agreed upon and wasnt willing to make the deal. He said ok, Ill have my driver take the car back. I apologized to the driver for having to make a wasted trip, I sat in my living room and watched out the window to see the car drive away. Not 5 minutes later, I received a call from the dealer wanting to negotiate. He agreed (again) to pay the document fee so I verbally made the deal, but requested that he send me an email stating that he would send me a check for the document fee amount and he told me that his boss would send it. I waited not more than 5 minutes for the email (which I never did receive) then I noticed that my next door neighbors were examining "my" car with the dealerships driver. As they can be nosy I didnt think much of it, until they sat in the car. At this point, I decided that I needed to go out there and see what was going on. In the time it took to put my shoes on, the car was gone. They took it for a ride! I could not believe what just happened. I was in the process of agreeing to a deal and the driver was playing salesman and trying to sell the car. Appalled, I called the dealer and told him that the driver had just given my neighbor the keys and they took off in the car. At this point, I was so frustrated with the whole experience that I called off the deal. Instead of apologizing or trying to rectify the situation, all the dealer could say was that he would "have words with his driver" and that was the end of the conversation. I still have not received any sort of further correspondence from him. I would have thought that a reputable dealership would at least have the courtesy to apologize but that never happened. I would strongly recommend that you do not purchase a vehicle from this company, or at least do not try purchasing online. This is the worst customer service that I have ever received and wanted to share my experience to hopefully prevent a similar situation from happening to someone else. Good luck if you choose to do business with them!

Me and my boyfriend were very upset with this dealership... There service was very polite to the face but my boyfriend found a very nice truck for a great price and test drove it and everything and was talking to the dealer about price, finance options and insurance options the dealer was talking with my boyfriend for about a week being very advisable and willing to help on finding out if loans would work and about different deals he could offer and the day we had everything figured out we were on our way to buy it, driving all the way from Holland to Muskegon, we got 10 min down the road and the dealer texted my boyfriend saying that the truck was being sold at the moment and that he was sorry...... needless to say we were beyond speechless as to why he sold it under our feet..... he apologized up and down for it when we got there and we asked what had happened, but that does not cover the fact that we spent four to five days looking at a truck that took 10 min to sell someone and for the truck to be off the lot before we showed up...???? All within an hour of texting the dealer to try and find details on the purchase... We are very confused and speechless and to be honest very disappointed.. we visited the Grand Haven Preferred location later that night and told them about our mishap and there sister store even said that that was unbelievable and "very sketchy" Over all our experience was very friendly and I know its "just business" but it would be nice to know as a customer your being taken care of and being informed about other possible offers and potential buyers. So that when your depending on and looking forward to buying something its not just pulled from under your feet..... Very Disappointed.

***RIP OFFS*** Brought my Pontiac G6 with 70+K miles on it. They told me it needed a new spark plug and cable and would cost like $450. They said the spark plug was cheap, but the cable was in a hard location to change. Only one bad plug and one bad cable (according to them). I felt like I got ripped off a few months prior on another vehicle, so when they asked me if I wanted to go ahead and do the repair, I said "not right now", paid them $75 for hooking it to their computer, then brought it to Scotts automotive in N. Muskegon. When I brought my G6 to Scotts, I told them to replace plug number 3 and the cable (figuring they would be cheaper than $400+. A few hours later, Bob at Scotts called me up and said my G6 was done. When I asked how much, he said "dont worry about it". Baffled, I asked him why it was free, and he said that all the cables were like new, just spark plug #3 had a crack in it, grounding itself to the motor and that was the problem. i strongly felt that Preferred automotive in Muskegon ripped me off once already on a clutch (and I was 95% sure of that), but now, after the cracked spark plug, Im 100% sure they tried to rip me off...again. I wouldnt be posting this under my name, if i wasnt 100% sure. That would make me liable in a lawsuit.

My husband Jim Morris recently purchased a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited from Preferred Chryster Doge Jeep in Muskegon. Terry Thompson was eventually the salesperson that handled the purchase of this car and he did a great job. There were numerous things that needed to be done to this car and Terry handled the organization of these tasks very well. He kept Jim informed every step of the way and we cannot say enough about how satisfied we are. We are still working on getting a few minor things done but for the most part the process is pretty much finished. I personally appreciate how he continually said both of our names frequently through any conversation we had. That is a great and thoughtful sales technique. Most salespeople in the past tend to ignore the woman; he did not. As a side note, Lori Kowalski handled the financing and as usual she did a good job too. Several years ago, I had purchased a Chrysler Sebring Convertible from Preferred and she handled my financing then. Jim and I have had many years of experience purchasing cars and getting cars repaired at the Preferred Chysler dealership. Since we had a lot of positive experiences in the past, Jim wanted to buy his car from this dealership. Again we are happy with this experience.
