I am extremely disappointed... when given a quote, I understand its not a set price, but under no circumstances should it be 3 times that much in the end. With 3 guys, it took them 6.5 hours to move what was stored in 2 bedrooms (already disassembled and ready to move) and one safe from the basement. The 3 guys that came were nice, they did a good job, but took a really long time. One of them admitted that he and one of the other guys were up all night working on a truck/car and were very tired (it showed)! Not to mention all the breaks they guys took, on a number of occasions the guys were seen sitting bed of the truck on their phones, while one guy did most of the work. And in both driveways they sat for an extended period of time before getting started. When we called upset with the the amount of time it took and the final bill, we were told that the price was correct due to all the sharp corners in the houses, which is not accurate. In the end, our home was moved with little damage, except to our checking account with a final bill of 3 times as much as the quote... just VERY, VERY disappointed!! I am disappointed and feel the need to respond to review posted by Sally H. Schuitema Moving was called and requested to do a move within the week. We always attempt to help our customers in any way we can. Do to time constraints, we were unable to an ON SITE survey. We were given a list of items to be moved, including a safe. With the information provided, we "estimated" an approximate amount of time however upon arrival, there was much more than the handful of items stated. Upon completion of the move, I reached out to Sally H. and discussed the situation, gave an extra discount and was told how happy she was with the result. I do not normally reply to these reviews, however I truly feel Schuitema moving went above and beyond with this move and still received an unfavoarable review due to no fault of the company OR its employees.

Schuitema Moving, has made moving day;(which who enjoys?) Completely stress free. Their crew was professional, confident and funny. They got my move done very efficiently with ease. From my first call to set up a quote everyone was wonderful, answering all my questions and getting me everything I needed for this move. The crew were amazing with hauling my belongings from my 3rd floor walk up and into the craftsman bungalow that I didnt think my furniture would even get through the door. No question who Ill be recommending to anyone that asks, or just overhearing someone talking about it. These are the movers to make the impossible happen. I was kind of sad to see them go really. 100% top notch. Theres no need to call anyone else. They are that good.

The owner, Sherri, was extremely unprofessional in handling her mistakes. We built a rapport, but when it came time to pay she was unreasonable with me, making commands, raising her voice, and not listening to her crew or myself. Clearly out of touch with my situation (death of parent) she focused solely on her business initiative. Her estimate wasnt not done according to her business policy nor was it calculated with the proper number of crew workers. The total ended up being triple the price of her estimate. Her crew was kind all day and in complete understanding, although not fully equipped to move with urgence. They took breaks and broke my lamp. Will never speak with owner again- disgusted. Scam.

Contacted Morgan and Sherri in order to set up help with my sisters move from Niles to St Joseph. Their dealings with my sister were all very kind, thorough, and informative. They bent over backwards to ensure that this move could be accomplished the week of Christmas. I has Schuitema Moving deliver a huge and heavy dresser and a desk from storage. They were very curteous and gentle with the items. They took extra care in making sure that they did not damage my doors or walls. They also made sure my cat didnt get out. I will use them when I move to my next location! They were very professional from the start to finish.

I have used Schuitema Moving several times. The first was a piano, in which they did a great job. Then I moved into a temporary home (when we sold our house) - and a few months later into a new home we purchased. Their staff was great - and took good care of our belongings.
