Be very careful when reserving a storage unit with Compass Self Storage, since the reservation is meaningless if another customer comes in wanting the unit you had put a deposit down on. I placed a deposit down on a unit and they rented it to another customer because they were able to charge them more. They were unable to offer a comparable unit in time for my move. Mike is unfriendly, not helpful, and he also refused to give me a phone number for customer service. He also accused me of lying and changed his story numerous times on the phone.

Premium Self Storage provided me not only the best price in town but the best customer service I have ever experienced. If you find a better price they will try to match it in addition to matching they are even willing to offer the first three months 1/2 price! This is hands down the best storage facility I have ever used. If my house was not done being built, I would still have my possessions stored with them. I have referred both my sister and my brother to this property!

Went to several Storage facilities, but really liked the location and cleanliness of this particular place. Also, other facilities limit the access times, but Compass has a 24-hour access policy. Units inspected and unit provided were all clean and in very good mechanical condition. Apples to Apples comparison for mandatory insurance identified Compass as the least expensive alternative.

I have had a great experience at Compass storage, the managers help us find the right size for what we needed to store and they made it easy by setting us up with a U-haul truck right at their location. Its a nice facility that is clean with good management. I highly recommend them because they made it easy for us and helped us save time and money.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Theyve gone up on the rent THREE times since Ive been with them. The customer service is poor. They constantly make random changes in their late fees. I DO NOT recommend. Store your things elsewhere and save yourself the aggravation.

Be very careful when returning a truck. Manager and I disagreed about how full tank was and he called Novi Police to settle dispute. Police said people have been throwing bricks through their windows.
