First, the sales rep, David told us that the packers would arrive on Saturday and the movers would arrive on Sunday. By this statement, we were led to believe that we would have an additional day to prepare for our departure out of state which would include cleaning the house and resting before the long drive. Then, the packers/movers showed up on Saturday to inform us that the truck would be loaded up that day. Most of the packing up had already been done by us but there were certain items that I wanted "professionally packed", such as my computer, sound system, and some old vinyl albums. My husbands collection was placed in locked cases for safekeeping. Additionally, I had a very large box of bedding that I wanted repacked because of the size and weight. The "Two Men" were Justin and Zak. Justin was extremely rude. he repeatedly asked me if there were weapons. I assured there were not. He then all but accused me of lying and said that if he was pulled over by the DOT that "he would NOT be happy". Concerning the large box of bedding, he told me that he lifted hogs heavier than that. Zak was notified from the road to inform me that our new home was not on his GPS. Prior to leaving Muskegon, I provided written directions, which were left behind. Address on their GPS came up as Cleveland and we moved to Galion. Gave him verbal directions and followed up with written directions via text messaging. Upon arrival, since it is an apartment for seniors, with one elevator, I suggested using hand carts to get the boxes up. That wasnt done. Justin unloaded the truck, placing boxes outside the elevator with Zak carrying the boxes down the long hall into the apartment. I had boxes marked for each room. They were stacked in the front room and down the hallways. Thankfully, I had a drawing of where the furniture would be placed. It took them 6 hours to unload the truck because they felt they could use "brute force" to move the boxes instead of hand trucks. Upon their departure, Justin asked me "so, wheres our tip?" My tip? Stop and rest and dont drive all the way back to Michigan that night. (6 hour drive). Upon unpacking, my towels were used for the sound system and computer electronics. I could have packed them better myself. My record collection? Still in the same box I had them in. Overall, extremely disappointed. Justin was rude, insulting, and disrespectful to me and my husband. He should stick to pig farming. Zak was nice but lacks common sense to listen to the suggestions of the customer. Only thing positive is we are moved.

The worst. We have moved long distance 3 times in the past 12 years -- all of our moves have been with other Two Men and a Truck franchises throughout the country and all of our prior experiences were flawless. Because of our prior experiences we did not hesitate to hire Two Men for our most recent move across Michigan. Unfortunately our experience with this franchise was nothing like the past. They recommended an in-home estimate. I should have been concerned from this first step because the person they sent spent about 10 minutes and did not even look inside closets or cabinets when estimating the price and logistics of the move -- even when prompted to look. We had asked for packing services for our kitchen but agreed to pack other belongings ourselves. The day of the move the crew arrived at had NO IDEA that they were supposed to pack anything. They were unprepared and had to wait for someone to deliver packing equipment (boxes, paper, etc.) They had been budgeted 3 hours to pack and load the truck, 3 hours for the drive, and an estimated 3 hours for unload. At 5 hours of packing I was informed that they could not fit any more of our belongings and that 3 boxes, some lawn equipment and a floor lamp would have to be left behind. (Our personal vehicle was already full from items they refused to load in the truck such as cleaning supplies and hanging art work.) *Luckily* our house sale was not closing immediately so I was able to arrange to return the 200 miles to retrieve these boxes -- unfortunately one of the boxes contained all of my most used kitchen equipment, so I was also without a functional kitchen until I was able to return a week later. Unloading started at out new house at 6pm with unlimited grumbling from the crew about the stairs and layout of our house. They finished around 10pm. I was then presented with the bill for $500 more than any estimate I had been given and a completely broken occasional table for which I was offered $9. My hope is that Two Men corporate becomes aware of the dysfunction in this franchise and no longer allows them to muddy their reputation.

My total experience was excellent. Molly, my customer service rep was wonderful, personable, professional, knowledgeable, kind, and patient...I had to re-schedule my move 3 times because of closing delays. She was always happy and friendly and awesome to deal with, every time I had to call her. Our movers, Justin and Hunter were excellent...they were friendly and happy and took excellent care of our belongings, they really did an awesome job. The weather on our move day was hot and miserably humid, but their attitude throughout the entire 10 hour day remained professional, positive, upbeat, and cheerful from beginning to end. Molly, Justin, and Hunter were all awesome and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Two Men and A Truck to anyone. Thank you for a great experience!

The movers were professional, polite and social with our family during the move. They took the time when my 3 y/o wanted to tell them something they listened and engaged her. Very respectful of our belongings, took time to explain things and were able to move us in half a day which left us with time to adjust as a family at home and get some things unpacked so our girls beds and rooms could be set up. If I ever have to move again I would certainly be a repeat customer!! Thank you for treating our family and possessions like they were your own!!

If you are middle-aged, this company will gladly accept your money and move your items, but they will discriminate against you when it comes to employment. I interviewed with this company and have good words to say about Cam, in Nunica, but I was discriminated against (based on my age)by his superiors in Holland about getting a job as a Driver. This, in spite of the fact that my current job is more physically demanding. They will discriminate based on age, so in what other ways are they discriminating?

I hired "Two Men and a Truck of Spring Lake" on numerous occasions before (this move) with the exact same outcome, Quick, efficient, speedy service and of course damage free. Justin and Jake along with the office staff did a great job! Highly recommend! Thank You Rick Grasman Grand Haven, MI

Some of the best money weve ever spent. Weve lived in 4 places in the past 7 years and finally needed all our various things to come to 1 location. The guys moved us out of a house, and 2 storage units cheerfully and quickly. Highly economical and worth every penny.
