I am very hesitant to leave negative feedback-- Ive actually never done so before. However, I want to give others a heads-up that this is apparently not the place to go for hair care! I had a full head of foil highlights done (they charge $100 for this); when I got home and took a good look at them, they were much lighter than I had requested, AND they started about an inch from my scalp. They looked awful. (Also, the stylist seemed totally unable to style my hair in any remotely current style.) I called the salon the following week and very politely expressed my dissatisfaction, requesting that she try to fix them. The response was lukewarm and a bit slow to take responsibility. I did go back (big mistake!), hoping the goof was just a fluke and that shed know what to do to correct her poor work. She did acknowedge the problem at that point, and was nice about trying to fix it. However, she seriously over-brightened my roots, then tried to tone them down (causing everything to look vaguely orange-ish) so I went away looking like a patchy calico cat. (When she took the foils off and saw how light it was, her response was, "oh crap!"; I think at that point they should have refunded my money, to say the least!) The salon is just getting on its feet, and they seem to have a lot of downtime right now. They need to use that time to take some webinars, or practice on each other-- whatever it takes to sharpen their skills with hair. They have the marketing piece down to a science-- great promotions like the "Half Price Hook-up", texted appointment reminders, a thank-you card after the first visit. They need to back it up with stylists who know what theyre doing!

I chose a color from the swatches: a medium coppery red. Amy didnt give me the color I chose, and she told me that I could come back at another time and get it "toned down," but that it would cost an additional $55. I already paid that price, plus a $10 tip (because I liked her personality). Ive gone to other stylists that have done exactly what Ive asked, and I was disappointed, so they fixed it. For free.Furthermore, the haircut was subpar. Yeah, I wont be going back to that place, even though I really liked Amys personality (and she says "cowlick" instead of "colic," like most every other stylist Ive been to; I dont have "severe abdomen pain suffered primarily by infants" in my hair, for Gods sake).

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this salon! I have gone to Abstract for massage, pedicure, and hair. Each time it has been fantastic! Jessica (Gus) does my hair and is great. She takes the time to listen and make sure she understands what you want. I would definitely recommend it!

I bought a Groupon to this salon being new to the area and not knowing any stylists. I had Kaylee do my hair and loved it! She took time to make it a very enjoyable experience and my hair turned out wonderful. I have now found my new stylist. Thank you again.

This place is just awesome. The whole staff is friendly, the massage leaves you relaxed, the mani/pedi makes your skin so soft, and if you want to change your look to something wild and out there, Tessa is the hair dresser for you!
