I dropped my vehicle off in the morning for an oil change and got a call sometime in the early afternoon with a typical list of additional repairs the technician suggested I have done. I followed his advice to have the repairs done and was told my vehicle would be ready by 5pm when I needed to pick it up. Upon arriving at the shop I found that my vehicle was not ready; the technician still needed to call a local parts store and then went out and picked up an oil filter for my vehicle as I waited. Once the work was done another worker took my vehicle for a quick test drive and returned with the verdict that everything was good to go. I left the shop around 6:15pm causing me to miss another appointment I had for the day. Additionally, I was quickly able to hear a very audible rubbing/grinding noise as I drove away. This should have easily been caught during the test drive, but no mention was made. I had to bring my vehicle back in the next day to have a further repair completed. This was done without hassle and the original oil change was successful. Overall, I was not happy with my experience and will not be going back to Morisette Automotive.

This place is a scam, for sure. I took my car here for a cheaper alignment than Firestone @ 14 and John R in Madison Heights. Gave them my car for alignment at 11 am, they werent busy. Got a call around 2 saying the "bushings" were shot, needed to be replaced, parts and labor, $457. I reluctantly pulled the trigger. Next day, I get a call around 11 am saying they need to replace cradle, "rare" part, but luckily he can get one, for $1000 total. I say no, kick rocks. Give me my car back, you scammy bums. Guy says "okay, Ill have my guys put it back together best we can, Ill give you a call when its ready". Simultaneously, my father is driving home from work, conveniently driving past as I hang up and call him, and he takes picture of my car chilling in same spot of parking lot I parked it, in one piece, never having been touched. I went right up and got my key back, took my car to Firestone and paid 80 for an alignment. Screw you, Morisette Automotive.

I have gone to Morisette Automotive with all different problems ranging from minor things like a small exhaust leak to major things (head gasket and timing issues). A few times I asked them just to diagnose the problem so that I could fix it myself and save some money. Last time I authorised them for an hour of diagnostic work and they only charged me for a half hour. I try to do most of my car repairs myself, but Morisette is the only repair shop Id ever take my car. They really know what they are doing and have always been up front and honest with me.

We go to Morisette in Royal Oak for anything auto problem related. From oil changes to major problems. My son comes in from Ann Arbor to have his car taken care of at this exemplary shop. I can only give them 5 stars based on customer service, quality of work and price. If I could give them more I would. Evan and his crew are fantastic and I highly recommend that you bring your auto to the Royal Oak store!

The whole staff is great here, and the owners Ive gotten to know personally as well, theyre great people. Their low price coupons brought me in, but they really care about their customers. Theyre also not going to suggest unwarranted repairs in order to pad the bill. So glad Ive found a place I can trust in Detroit. Check the coupons they send to your house for their specials!
