My girlfriend and I took our second trip to Bella Vita Vacation Rentals over Labor Day weekend. Our experience with the room itself was great. Beautiful wood floors original to the building, large walk in shower with rain head and wall jets, fireplace. The works. our problem stemmed from the parking situation. Bella Vitas very small lot is tucked behind the building. I recall thinking "wow theyve really packed a lot of cars back here. I hope I dont get hit". Unfortunately thats exactly what happened. No note, jut a nice scrape along my bumper. In speaking with Kevin the owner he suggested that the damage to my car may have already been there and tells me that I dont have to park in his lot. I kindly reminded Kevin that his own employee noted the damage to my car that morning and asked him why he even has the reserved lot if he doesnt expect his guests to park there. Kevin eventually agreed to credit back one night of our stay but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

We just took off from the parents cabin for a couple of days to the shore and stayed at Bella Vita for a night. We enjoyed wonderful accommodations, an excellent couples massage and male pedicures! What a treat! The husband and wife duo that run this cute updated spa and suite (4 suites total) are welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again and we also really enjoyed the city...great people, great shopping, great food, great time! The rooms are comfortable, updated, 2-head shower and private parking (HUGE deal for downtown). We got Suite #1 which I think has more windows than the rest of them so I think we got lucky! Oh, and for those who are coffee and chocolate fans, the suites are right above Kilwins and a great local coffee shop. Save gas and walk everywhere, we did!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bella Vita Spa and Suites! This place would be amazing in the spring, summer and fall but we especially love to come in the winter months. The town is so quaint and quiet, the restaurants are not as busy and the spa is so cozy! The staff at the spa were so friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. The attention to detail is great as well. I forgot my fan, which I always bring to hotels, and was excited to find a sound machine. Comfy robes were available, snacks and drinks in the room too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area or those who are traveling!!! Thanks Bella Vita!

Weve stayed in several nice B&Bs in the Saugatuck/Douglas area but nothing compares with the Bella Vita for quality, comfort, and location. Located in the heart of downtown, our room was spacious, well appointed and cozy. Your own fridge comes stocked with free juice and water, and there is no charge for the snacks, coffee or popcorn. Parking is adjacent and each room comes with a reserved spot. I was most delighted to find that the Bella Vita spa was in the same building, along with Kilwins and the Butler Pantry. How perfect is that!

The room design is contemporary work white and grey walls and dark wood cabinets topped by a cabin-style knotty pine. The bed is a comfortable medium firm. It faces a curved TV. The show is dual head: on one side a circular head, the other a flat rectangle. Id call it a lovers shower. Our room, suite 2, overlooks the street and is well lit by sunlight. Theres no breakfast, but the rooms have muffins, biscotti, and coffee. (Oddly, theres no tea--but we only had to ask.)

My wife and I stayed for five nights and four days and I must admit everything was a delight. The town is beautiful, our room is relaxing with a huge bathtub with jets and a fireplace, and everyone is so friendly, not just the staff, but everyone in general. Also the restaurants, whilst a little pricey, are wonderful. The food is great and the atmosphere is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bella Vitas strength is the beauty of its rooms and its location in the heart of downtown Saugatuck. The very minimal downsides are the limited amenities (like a B&B in that it lacks ice, vending, room service, no phones in rooms, services after hours, etc.) and the downtown location makes for a noisey evening on weekends, with bands and bars adjacent. Still, very lovely.

unbelievable location. we didnt use a car our entire 3 day stay. everything you need is within walking distance. room was beautiful, shower was luxurious and kitchenette was exactly what we needed for breakfast and storing takeout. highly recommend.

This was my first massage experience so I was frankly a bit nervous. They made me feel comfortable and welcome. The massage itself was great! She worked on some very tense areas of my body and I feel wonderful days after. Will definitely be back

The staff was really nice and the 50 minute couples massage was very relaxing. I would have loved for them to be able to accomodate the hot stones into a couples massage, but the room didnt have the space.

The rooms were great very clean and luxurious. The location was perfect right on butler street which is the main shopping street. Could walk anywhere in the town from these suites!
