I recently bought a new 2015 car at Bill Macdonald Ford in St. Clair, MI. Our sales guy was Doug and the finance lady was Michelle. While signing the contract we were asked if we wanted an extended warranty for the vehicle or any other additional options. We turned down all additional coverage options and were very clear that we did not want any extended warranties or services. One of the documents that was given to us was a service contract document, which had an additional fee of around $500. When I asked what the charge was for, Michelle told me it was a new policy for the 2015 vehicles that they now have a small fee for the 3 year 36K mile factory warranty coverage. The next day I did some research and discovered that was a lie. Ford’s 3 year 36K mile factory warranty is included, even with the 2015 vehicles. I called Michelle back and found out that the fee they charged us was an optional maintenance fee. They added this fee to our contract without our consent, and lied to us when we asked what the charge was for. Thats some shady business if you ask me.

I went to this dealership with my parents, hoping to price out some small SUVs to lease... We ended up leaving with a 2012 Ford Escape- FULLY LOADED- because the owner, Bill McDonald, offered much more than we expected for my 2001 Explorer Sport. He said, "Well, well take the new car, switch your plates on to it, and fill up the gas tank and its yours!" Several staff members stayed late (on that Saturday, none-the-less) and gave us the best service Ive ever experienced at a car dealership! Bill, the owner, his wife, and the sales associate we dealt with (Katie) went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me get my first brand new car on my budget!!! Thank you very much to everyone at that dealership!!!!

These guys put the wrong oil in my 4Runner a couple years ago. No apology, no refund. My wife loves this place so she urged me to try again. Take her Lexus in. It takes 0w-20 full synthetic. Asked if thats what was going in. They assured me..."Yep! For sure! No problems sir!" It was nagging at me so I went to go see the bottles of oil they were going to put in. Not the right oil. Lots of excuses about how the guy writing the service order doesnt know what oil they have and all that. They 100% were going to put the wrong oil in again and certainly tell me and charge as though they put in full syn. Charlatans! Or fraud. You pick.

I cant speak highly enough of the customer service I received from the staff at Bill MacDonald Ford, Kathy Campbell in particular. I had been looking for a Jeep Cherokee (been to 5 Chrysler dealers (twice to one) and then decided on a Ford Escape because of the lack of help for the purchase of a Jeep. Went to 4 Ford dealers (again, twice to one) and was ready to give up until a friend suggested Bill MacDonald Ford. Needless to say Kathy couldnt find what I wanted but offered to order it and worked with me to get what I wanted. I an now the proud owner of a 2014 Ford Escape! In the market for a new vehicle....go to Bill MacDonald Ford!!!

I recently purchased a used 2010 Fusion from Jerry in the Used Car Centre and had an excellent experience. Jerry made everything very easy and gave me great value on my trade-in. The team at Bill Macdonald Ford made themselves available to complete the transaction on a holiday weekend and had everything ready for me; all I had to do was sign the paperwork and drive out in my new car. Jerry continues to provide support after the sale and really goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy with their purchase. I will definitely be using Bill Macdonald Ford for my future purchases.

Decided that wanted to trade in my 2011 mustang GT on a new F-150. . This was the best new car purchase experience I have had, gave me a great price on my trade, considerably more that any other dealer in the area. I worked with Doug Muir,I told him the exact truck that I wanted, it ended up being pretty hard to find but he did it. Doug did not try to push me into something else that would have been easier to find. Everything went smooth, from the trade in to the financing. Great dealership, would highly recommend. I will be buying my new F350 from them when the time comes!!

The people at Bill McDonald Ford are wonderful and helpful people that will work hard to get you the car or truck that you want at a price that is right even if you dont have perfect credit. Woody and Ron and the rest of the team in the used car dept are friendly and knowledgeable,and they all worked together for me.Instead of one salesman I had the whole staff that worked to get me my car in less then a day.Would recommend them to everyone,thats if you want fast and great services.Thank you Bill McDonald Ford.

my family has taken our cars just to get oil changes and always got the best service with no issues and no pressure to do any more than that. We purchased our last 3 vehicles there. I just bought from the used lot and had the best experience with adam. he was helpful and gave no pressure at all. it was my first purchase and was terrified but it went smooth with no issues and I am more than happy with the car. thank you to all the staff at bill McDonald ford..you are all so great at what you do!!

I called on July 11 to make an appt for an oil change at 9:00 am on the 24th of July. The first questioned he asked was, have you been here before? I said no we are not from MI. We will be leaving MI on that day. We will be driving to Niagara Falls that same day. There is no way we can wait 2 to 3 hours to get the oil changed. I said that I am making the appt 2 weeks in advance. I guess they do not make enough money on an oil change. We come to MI every year. He will not get my business ever.

We went to look at the new vehicles and ended up leasing one in less than an hours time. Doug Muir & Bill McDonald took very good care of us. Gave us an exceptional deal on our trade and got us a payment that were were looking for. Doug even stayed after the store was closed to help us out. I bought my car at Russ Milne Ford down on hall road. Their service was not very good compared to St. Clairs Ford. I have had it here twice and they prioritize, respect and show care to their customers. This dealership is very local to me and if they do not have any cars to lend when my car is being serviced, I do not mind the walk home because I know I am leaving my car in good hands. Any future warranty repairs needed to be made I know I will bring it here. Thanks!
