They are good at locking up your junk and keeping others out. Shaun, the manager here, is great. She is very nice and very prompt. But the corporation just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I found this place online, I liked it because their rates looked good online and it had good reviews. But the first months rent when you first sign up is not even close to the "move in" rate that they list online. I went through with it because I had a deadline to move my junk. Now, after four months, my monthly rate has increased by $15. Customer service said the increase is to keep up with maintenance and the cost of doing business, I get it, but additional $15 is a big jump for a storage unit business. Id be more open to an increase of a few dollars. I paid less for a BETTER, but same sized storage unit in Chicago, IL- one of the most expensive places to live! Customer service was of no help (this is corporate, not Shaun the site Manager). I am now looking to change storage companies for the same kind and size of unit. Other places in the Walled Lake area are significantly cheaper, by about $9 or $33.

Stumbled upon this property as I was looking for some moving boxes the other day and was incredibly pleased with the helpfulness of the staff. I came into the office in a whirlwind, stressed out from the events of the day and couldnt remember exactly what I needed. The women working, I believe her name was Leslie, walked me through what supplies I needed to help finish my task and I left feeling so much more organized. A big thank you to this women and all her help...couldnt have done it with you!!

The storage facility is clean and safe. The only thing I have a problem with is I notice the rates keep creeping up and up...youre enticed in with the introductory rate and then you get notice that the insurance is going up. I believe the insurance is a rip off because the storage site is gated and your individual storage unit is pad locked. THen the rates themselves went up. Now Im at $60 a month for a small space I store holiday decorations in. One more increase and Im looking elsewhere.

Bottom line is I wouldnt be a customer if it werent for Charlie. Hes polite always smiling and a great salesperson. The office and property are clean and Charlie is always there with his snow shovel when needed. Like others Im storing things that Ill probably never need, but Charlie seems to make it worth it and has even taken steps to ease the stress by suggesting I downsize to a smaller unit. EVERY COMPANY NEEDS A CHARLIE

I enjoyed the experience with the Public Storage facility in Walled Lake. I was able to rent my unit during one of the storage unit specials which made the cost much more reasonable. The storage areas are very, very secure! I would also like to commend Charlie and Leslie for being very professional and informative whenever assistance was needed. Calvin also made the initial storage rental a very pleasant and relaxing event.

I have been very pleased with the operation from day 1. They were extremely helpful in assisting with getting me the correct size unit, have been there for any and all quesitons, and have followed up on everything. They also have many supplies needed for moving and storage at very good pricing. The manager has also been terrific to work with. I would highly recommend this location

Since I have opened my storage account I have moved significantly closer to the Farmington location, I choose to stay in walled lake because of the extraordinary service that Miss Heather gives. Im downsizing and she took the time to leave the office and take a look at what I have to see if it were possible to go down. Shes very helpful and kind.

Last minute search for a place to store the Motorhome for the winter landed us at this location. Shawn was super awesome through the whole process. From the morning phone call to the late arrival, she handled everything in a super professional and courteous manner. The location is nice and well kept. I definitely recommend this place.

I went in today to get a storage unit and was very pleased with my experience. Leslie was great- very thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient! Beyond that, she was incredibly friendly and able to answer all of my questions. With great customer service like that, I am glad I chose this location to get a storage unit.

Shawn is a great property manager!! I was out of the country for a couple weeks when I had an emergency and Shawn personally made sure that my stuff was safe and secure. She went above and beyond to contact me out of the country and make sure my stuff and storage unit was taken cared of without penalty/consequences.

Great place to store! Its in a convenient location. im always driving back and forth down that stretch of M-5. Its secure and in a safe area. Its well kept and if I ever need any boxes or tape, they sell it right there. When I do have to go into the store, the gal at the desk, Shawn, is very helpful and friendly.

Great experience with this facility. Shaun, the Property Manager, is one of the best assets to the Public Storage company and to this location. She is "Johnny on the spot" as you say. Nothing gets unanswered by her. I think she is very thorough and conscientious. Great to work with.
