My son had been attending TBDC for almost 5 years now. As a mom who is guilty of being a little overprotective it is very important that I know my son is safe, cared for and also being exposed to new things to grow his mind. That being said I found ALL of that at TBDC. The staff and managment are wonderful, take the time to talk with me as long as I need and give me the oppurtunity to express my needs and wants. The place is always buzzing with excitment and learning (except at nap time for the little ones of course!) and they also put focus on physical activity and learning about being healthy which is also important to me in a day in age where kids spend lots of time inside. There is nature all around and with supervision they are encouraged to explore. There is no other center that I would trust with my son the way I do with Teddy Bear Day Care. I have built trusting relationships with staff and know that they care very much for my child. If you want a place you can send your children to where they are safe, having fun and also having there minds stimulated with all kinds of neat things then this is the place for you. There is no price to be put on peace of mind!

We got a tour of the facility where supposedly the staff are on their best behavior and are the most attentive to the kids needs, because we were there. We left horrified. In the toddler/infant room there was one little girl there that was really really crying and we stood there for 5 minutes and NO ONE bothered to picked her up. She was crawling towards one of the care givers with her arms outstretched and was basically ignored before she was quite roughly picked up and told to shush. Then in the next door room where the kids are a bit older, we watched one of the caregivers VERY roughly grab one of the little girls by the arm who was not settling on her bed. We couldnt get out of there quick enough. Also the play area is not fenced, there is no security and as we were leaving we watched a group of older kids being allowed to play in the dirty rain water on the ground outside. This daycare looks great from the outside but I would never ever send my child here. if you have a child here I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. What we saw was heart breaking and the little infants/toddlers all looked so forlorn :(

We love TBDC! My daughter has been in the infant "class" for three months now, and its obvious when we walk in the doors that shes excited to be there and is happy to see the caregivers and other babies and toddlers. Shes ahead of the curve in crawling, pulling herself up, and trying to walk and I think its party due to the active play shes engaged in at the center. She also brings home crafts like finger-paintings, which I never would have expected at such a young age. She is read to, sang to, and cuddled throughout the day. I am always informed if anything unusual happens (fever, diarrhea, bumps and bruises) and I get a little "report card" every day, telling me when and how much she ate, when and how long she napped, any activities her class did that day, and anything she needs to bring in next time. I was reluctant to put my daughter in daycare, and did a lot of research on different daycares in the area, but Im so glad we picked TBDC. I can go to work knowing my baby is in good and caring hands!

The person below must not be talking about the same Teddy Bear Daycare! I have been taking my child there since he was 12 weeks, he is now 20 months old, we absolutly love it! The front playground is fenced in and wonderful for the little guys. We had looked at serval other daycares and none compared. My son is learning so much and we wouldnt take him any where else. The staff is all well educated and have taught my son things from Sign language to how to put together full sentances! Pretty great since he isnt even 2 yet!

Very disrespectful people answering the phone. I called with a question and heard the staff member calling my question "dumb". She apologized but how arrogant is she to say that, without putting the call on hold. That was a dumb move for her. I will let all of the moms in my community know about this situation. I was actually going to send my child there upon a recommendation from a neighbor. Oh, heck no. Im so offended!
