Do not use them! We paid five figures for our security system at our preschool/daycare and have experienced nothing but complications, poor customer service, and incompetent staff. As soon as I signed the contract, there were issues. We experienced everything from delays in installation to them installing door access alarms on the wrong doors! (drilled holes in our doors then werent even the right door!). Was told our bid didnt include something that was in our contract and had to argue with them to fulfill out contract. Worse is the customer service on ongoing issues since completion. We have had the system operational for less than 6 months. We have already had multiple faulty door alarms (the alarm that goes off if someone opens an emergency exit), door alarms that go through a battery in weeks (supposed to last years), and awful customer service. Our keycard access door stopped acknowledging some cards just 3 months after opening - and then tried to charge us for fixing their faulty installation! Seriously?!?!? I had to call and argue about it with them. They provide absolutely zero support after installation and if you make the mistake of not asking them how to do every single thing with your system - and not memorizing it, you will pay $100+ later for simple phone calls. The latest - and completely ridiculous last straw for me was this morning. One of our neighbor businesses had a break in. We were fortunate enough to catch the thieves on our security system. The police requested the tape - but I was never shown how to record the feed (they didnt directly connect a monitor, we have to log online to view it). I called this morning, explained the situation (police have requested footage) and they are going to charge me to tell me how to record from the DVR!!!! Extremely disappointed all around. And when I opened another business 2 weeks ago, I didnt make the same grievous mistake of using them. I went with ASAP security - who has been nothing but helpful, timely, and goes out of their way to make things right the first time (and doesnt charge for questions/additional support!!!). Dont use them. I certainly wont ever again.

I had the opportunity to work closely with this company. I was searching for a security company for my mothers home. She lives by herself and was moving to a new area of town. I spoke with Karen Gott about setting up a walk thorough, install and follow up apps for both my mom and myself. I was so happy to know that the monitoring center was right here in Minnesota and not a state or two away. This made the decision easy and simple. During the walk through Karen showed us what we needed to replace from a previous system and what could stay and be reused. That showed us they care more about the customer then the money on new parts. During the install the employees were very nice and polite. I never heard a curse word or witnessed behavior I didnt want my kids to be around, they happen to be with me that day. My boys were so excited to watch the guys work and the installers explained what they were doing and why. I think they answered 100 questions just from my boys that day. I would highly recommend Floyd to any of my family and friends. Follow up and customer service at Its finest. Thank you for making it easier for my mother to live alone and the best part is... she feels safe and trusts the equipment and the monitoring.

The monitoring seemed good and responsive overall during the several years we did business with them. Our main problem was with how they handled their faulty installation practices. We had a new sliding glass door installed in our living room over the spring and the technician who was out to reinstall the sensor on the new door placed it in a location where there was some additional pressure on the plastic. The sensor broke at 1 am several months after the installation and we asked Floyd to send a technician out to repair it. The technician blamed us for the failure even though we had not touched the door or sensor after it was installed and Floyd refused to wave a second 100 dollar service fee where they reused the same sensor that broke and applied some cheap double sided tape to the door/sensor instead of using a new sensor. The job was done very sloppily. Floyd was more concerned about their additional service fee than retaining our business in talking with the customer service representatives. I would recommend one of the many other responsive and local security monitoring companies over Floyd as I feel Floyd does not have their customers best interests in mind.

The personal service I received from Floyd Total Security and my rep, Karin Gott, was outstanding. Karen came to my home and was very thorough in explaining the services offered and patient with all of my questions. I love that they have a local service center and have been thrilled with my home security system and the peace of mind it brings me. I have the ability to activate or deactivate my system from my phone which has proved useful in times I havent been sure I activated it. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering protecting their home.

They have pestered us relentlessly by email, phone and junk mail to upgrade our existing system to 3G. They were constantly crying that the sky was falling and we would be left without service if we didnt upgrade immediately. When we decided to upgrade they charged us immediately (that was the immediacy, they needed our money), but after 4 weeks we have yet to hear from them about doing the actual upgrade. When we contact them we get the "dont call us, well call you".

Ive hired Floyd to install/upgrade systems in two of my homes over the last 10+ years. Sales and Installation are very knowledgeable about whats new and how to incorporate older equipment into the overall system, allowing for the most economical installation/upgrade. SRSI monitoring has always been courteous, responsive, and reliable. I feel safe knowing they are monitoring when Im home and away. I wouldnt chose any other home security company.

I had this system installed by Frank and he was very knowledgable and knew exactly what he was doing. Since then, Ive had communication with Jim - the app guy and some other people at the main office. Everyone has been very friendly and knowledgable. I love that this place is local too!

Left us unprotected for a month but charged us. They claimed that the tower was down and they didnt know when it would be back up. Horrible all around experience after almost 4 years of being a loyal customer. I really wish 0 stars was a option:-( Protect America here I come:-)
