This is review is based on my recent visit. I scheduled my appointment with APRIL for the haircut a week before for the day 11/13/2015. I reached 10 mins before my appointment, only to discover that they had canceled my appointment. The LIE they told me that they had called me in the morning to notify me to which I replied that I did not receive any call, nor did i get any voicemail. I mean how stupid do they think a customer can be? You called me and could not connect to me = fine, ever heard a thing called "voicemail" ?? And what amused me of their lie more was, on Thursday 11/12/2015 (one day prior to the appointment at 9.05 AM ), their receptionist called me to confirm my appointment!!! Not only I was going away the next day, hence booked my appointment but I had taken a day off just so that I could make it to the appointment. The worst part was they werent even "that" apologetic, they found it to be normal!! Informed me with a straight face and went about to their business. I was super mad but being a "civilized" person, did not want to create a scene in front of their other customers waiting in line. I would never ever in my life would be returning to this salon, Thank you!!

Its always traumatic when you lose a great stylist... That happened to me 2 years ago and I searched and searched for someone new who understood my hair and my style. A good friend suggested I try her stylist, Anya at Shear Success, and as her hair always looks good, I was eager to give her a try. Anya did not disappoint! First off, she is personable... Our conversation never felt awkward or forced in spite of the fact that we didnt know each other. Anya is very knowledgable. I had been unhappy with the color of my previous highlights and she expertly chose colors that complimented my skin tone. On a recent trip back to Anya, I got a Brazilian blowout. I LOVE IT!!! Not only did Anya do a good job explaining the process, but she finished in record time. No waiting around with solution in my hair while she slipped in a quick haircut for someone else. As you can tell, Ive found my new stylist and Im referring my friends and family to her, too!

I found Anya at Shear Success over a year ago. Ranging from her friendly and engaging personality to her impressive ability to repeat my exemplary cut time and time again, she never fails to exceed my expectations. Every three weeks I’m excited to engage with Anya. She’s enthusiastic, yet sincere. Her consistently fun-loving attitude affirms she’s not being “fake”, and is truly involved in our conversations. The haircut itself is perfectly aligned with my desire (not to mention my girlfriend loves it!). I’m someone who prides myself by personal appearance and believes presentation speaks volumes to one’s character. I’ve never felt more comfortable placing faith in my stylist’s taste. She not only meets, but continuously surpasses my expectations. When it comes time to purchase new product, I’m confident I can ask for her honest opinion. She never sells me, she helps me. Anya truly is a “shear” success!

I have been going to Andrea at Shear Success for 3 years and will continue to recommend and be styled by her! Her Cuts and Colors are fabulous and she has the personality to match. Her hair is like that of a chameleon, always changing from short to long, so she truly understands the depths of all hair types and styles, whether i want just a trim for my long hair, a Brazilian blow out for my curls, or a drastic change to short-bob with some new color she is able to fulfill my beauty needs. She is always very honest with ideas and we talk through them before we make the first cut so I am completely satisfied with my style, her ideas and imagination are a perfect conceptualization tools so I know ahead of time what to expect after and if it will be a good fit on my head or not.

Shear success is a knowledgable, timely, and caring salon. They strive to make sure that youre happy with your results and stop at nothing to make you feel comfortable and content! Anya is the stylist I would recommend--shes observant and considerate of the specific style youre going for, creative, and always learning new techniques. Shell even spend the extra time to help you create a look or cut thats uniquely you by helping you decide what will flatter you best and meet your needs. She never rushes but it always efficient. To top it off, her shampoos come with a head rub and she will answer the infamous, "what do you think?" question with congeniality and honesty.

ANYA is HANDS DOWN the greatest stylist in Bloomington, Ive been a client of hers even well before she became certified, referred to her from an ex girlfriend and now I cant go elsewhere! I know that I dont have intricate hair styles, or use products in my hair but I absolutely will not let anyone else touch my head with scissors and a razor. Her Charisma, humorous gossip and superb listening skills (even when im just complaining about my father) is bar none. So pick up the phone, call Shear Succes and ask for ANYA, she will go above and beyond your expectations.

I love my visits to Erika at Shear Success Salon! Erika is a superb colorist and sylist. I initially found the salon through a groupon coupon for a smoothing treatment a couple of years ago and ended up finding an awesome salon that I return to for all my services. I live in MN only part-time and the first and last thing I do when I come and go is book my salon appointments. The location is super convenient and the atmosphere very pleasant. There is definitely a difference in a small business that is operated by a caring/interested owner!

I have been reluctant to go to salons mainly because I never end up walking out with the color I want. I booked an appointment with Anya around the end of May for a balayage. I came in with one picture and Anya did the rest, she asked questions to ensure she understood exactly what I wanted and also recomended the best way to get those results. I appreciated her guidance and it paid off tremendously. I walked out with the exact coloring I wanted and I am still getting compliments months later. I would definitely recommend seeing Anya.

Ive been a client of Shear Success since it opened. The staff is great, friendly and very professional. The salon is low-key and pleasant. I get a cut and color every appointment, and when I leave my hair is nicely tapered and the color is consistent. Their rates are very reasonable and competitive for the service provided. Have lived in Minnesota for a short while and have searched for a new hairdresser after having the same one for 23 years! Andrea was amazing and very attentive to my needs and wants for my hair. She did an excellent job, was incredibly friendly and gave a killer head massage while washing my hair :) Would highly recommend this place!

April was wonderful. I had used a boxed hair color to highlight my hair and it was a total mess. I have strawberry blond hair and I put is RED! it was awful. I put my hair in Aprils hands. We got rid of almost all the RED and she calmed it down with some soft highlights and a great cut. Great customer service. Thank you!
