This is from their website: "We recommend that you arrive ten minutes early for any appointment to relax and enjoy a cup of AVEDA tea. Keep in mind that your appointment may have to be shortened or rescheduled as a courtesy to our next guest if you arrive late." Great, I like this policy because I dont like it when I have to wait because the person before me was late. It would be even better if they followed this policy. I arrived early to ensure I was on time. My appointment was for 9:30, and I had checked in with the receptionist. By 9:40 I was still waiting and no one communicated to me anything, like the stylist is running late, had to take a phone, etc.

I have been a long time customer of Mark...for over twenty years...and I trust him completely. He is unusually talented and always knows what styles look good on me. I have some gray hair now, but thanks to Mark (and his coloring skills) my hair looks younger and naturally blonde/light brown with beautiful highlights. I ALWAYS get compliments on my hair after Mark has done it. And he is very helpful at also showing me how to care for my hair at home. He is the absolute BEST and I am very very grateful for him and his skills. And I would VERY HIGHLY recommend him!!!

Brittany was so wonderful!! I originally wanted a balayage, however she explained the difficulty it would be on not only the thickness of my hair, but also my color was already too light for what I wanted out of a balayage. Instead, she explained a full head of highlights will give a similar effect, and would also freshen me up for summer. She did a wonderful job on the highlights and my cut. She contributed ideas, explained everything, and was very personable. I will be going back to Brittany!

Ive been going to Mark since before MAX opened. He really is talented, and always frank about what I can expect. While I wish I had curly hair, Mark makes the most of my thin lank hair. I always get compliments on my hair, both cut and color; and have referred friends to MAX frequently. While the AVEDA products are good, I can find those elsewhere, but Mark is ony here at MAX! BTW, the spa services are wonderful quality, both facials and pedicures were so relaxing and therapeutic.

I love this place!! James is the only stylist that I have ever had that every single time I leave the salon I feel like I got a perfect cut/color/style! He is so talented and extremely friendly. I love my hair - it is super thick, has a lot of volume, and can be extremely difficult to style and cut, but James makes it work every time! I am so picky with my stylists, and I am so happy that I found someone I can go to, without being a nervous wreck.

Always receive VIP treatment when I am at MAX. My favorite Stylist, James, always takes time to discuss my hair aspirations and works with me to create a plan to achieve the style I am aiming for. Prices are fair and honestly, with haircuts and beauty treatments- you get what you pay for! If youre cheap, its going to show. Spend some money on a quality haircut, professional waxing, and beauty treatments and youll look like a moviestar!

I had never been to an Aveda Salon before but heard that Jen was great so I stopped in for a cut and color and am so happy with the results. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and helped me get exactly what I was looking for. She also helped thin out some areas of my hair to help it curl better and stay out of my face which so stylist has ever suggested preciously but it helps a lot.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Mark is a Genius!!! Came in with a mop of a head of hair just was stuck int he 80s with that same ol ridiculous "featherd" hair cut i have been playing out for who knows how long. He Completely revived me with a great new style that fit my career and my personal sense of style. I just can not wait to go back and what ideas him and his team have for color!!!

Ive gone to Mark since he opened his salon and agree that hes a genius - I also really appreciate his honesty ("No, your hair isnt going to look like that picture because you dont have that kind of hair") and willingness to listen to what I want. I drive 40 miles to get to him, but its totally worth it when Im not struggling with my hair in between hair cuts. Thanks Mark!!!!

Wonderful experience with professionals. Had my hair cut, colored and styled by Sue. Had a mani-pedi with Brittany. They were able to book me into their schedules with these two last minute appointments. Highly recommend this salon for tourists (like me). :)

Ive been going to Alan at Max for almost 5 years, and he has done such a great job with color and cuts. I always feel so much better after a fresh color and cut from him. I love the salon and the aveda products! I highly recommend the salon, especially Alan!

Val always did a great job with my hair. I no longer go here since I moved to Minneapolis and this quite out of the way, Id still go there if I lived nearby. Friendly staff, clean and efficient space, overall a nice place.

Was quoted a cheap price, so when I got there and was told another price I wasnt surprised. When I went to the cashier to pay for the service I was charged extra for unknown reasons. Wont be coming back.
