I have been to many salons in my life and this one was below average and the customer service lacked. I went in to get my hair darkened to my natural color and then put some blonde highlights in framing the face. Well, they turned my hair ORANGE, when I specifically said that is one thing I did not want was any hint of orange. The problem was my stylist asked for advice from the manager and they mixed up the wrong color. Well, they did try and fix it back to an all brown color but I had to come in another time to get the highlights redone because those were lost in the color transformation. Well I came back the second time and the experienced "manager" highlighted my hair to try and fix and she pretty much just died the top of my head blonde. Her technique was not great as compared to other stylist I have gone to. I just let it go because I was just too frustrated. It was an aweful experience and I dont think they really cared much. They did give me a "bounce back", meaning please come spend more money at the salon. It was 50% off a pedicure (which is very generous) but I would have rather had it off my hair color that I paid way too much for. This salon is overrated by far and I wont go back...like I said in the begining I have been to many salons in the metro area. So far the best has been Kalla Lilly in Maple Grove, go there instead...I know I will be!!!

I never posted about this but figured I should. Last year, my mom bought me and my sister TWO $200 gift cards and spent another $100 worth of clothing in there small boutique. I visited on New Years Eve to see what kind of products they had. The ladies were eyeballing me like crazy but they were always right in eyes view of us so they could clearly see that I was just looking. They were closing soon so me and my friend left. A lady followed us a minute later and seemed to be looking at the license plate of the car. We didnt think anything of it until the police showed up at my friends house. They came to my house too. They told us that the girls working caught us stealing and have a video to prove it. They left work and didnt show the police the video. My parents figured, well the police came and said they have proof... our daughter and her friend must be lying! About 2 weeks later the police let us know that they didnt have any proof at all. They lied and ruined our New Years Eve. We were going to spend $400 but got a refund due to the idiocy of the workers. They were very rude when we wanted the refund. Also, I have been here once before and they are OVERRATED. I wanted to color my hair medium brown and it turned out pitch black. Never coming back again, horrible experience!

I am giving Taj Salon a 2-star rating due to last nights experience. Ive been going to Taj Salon for deep tissue massage for the last few years (not a monthly basis but enough that they are the first place that comes to mind when Im looking for a massage). I scheduled a 60 minute maternity massage for 7:15 p.m., and arrived there @ 7:07p.m. I was brought back immediately; however, I was not roomed for the massage until 7:25 p.m. and the massage itself probably didnt start until 7:30 p.m. (or so). Prior to the massage, I waited for the therapist to set up the room (putting blankets and pregancy donut support together). I feel Taj Salon was a professional/upscale place and I these things should have been done prior to the arrival? Anyway, I got charged for the entire hour because at the end of my session, I took a peek at my phone and the time stated 8:25 p.m. I understand being a massage therapist can be tiring and exhausting after a long day but I felt this experience (and my prior experience in 2014) lacked ethics and integrity. Thank you for the prior service, which you served over the years but I think its time to look else where.

My daughter went in for a quote on some work on her hair as it has always been an issue for her. She was quoted a price. We recognize it as a quote so it wont be exact but without ever telling my teenage daughter that it would cost more they simply proceeded to finish the work and charge almost DOUBLE the quoted price. I dont care what line of business you are in if you quote a price and in the process realize it will be more the only respectable thing to do is update the customer on the price. If you dont do that there should be recourse. Of course, because this business is we do the work and then you pay there is no real recourse to the salon to charge whatever they want regardless of the quoted price. I cannot recommend staying away from this salon more. Who knows, you may be the next victim of there unprofessional and shady business practices.

The salon is clean, has a nice atmosphere, and everyone is helpful and polite. I was offered a beverage when I walked in which took me aback. Is this normal? Fantastic Sams offers me a 45min waiting period and thats all. Definitely surprised me in a good way. Bri (my stylist) made me feel very comfortable in a setting that a 30 something guy doesnt normally feel comfortable in. She was kind, witty and definitely did a great job on both my hair and my arms/hands! That grip!! I didnt know what to expect walking in and now that I know, I will definitely be returning to have her work her magic once more. Excellent experience, 10/10 would recommend.

I went in hoping to get a partial foil, just touch up my roots prior to an event and sadly I came out of Taj salon looking like Id done a bad box color kit in my home bathroom. The stylist left the color in too long which not only burned my scalp but also over processed my hair. It was AWFUL! I debated even going out to the event as I looked much better before this touch up was performed. Previously Ive had pedicures in their spa and enjoyed that, however after an experience so poor I plan never to return. For the prices they charge one would expect a decent result, unfortunately that is not the case.

Ive been here a couple times .. To get a cut , tan buy products there as well and I always always tipped good . to get my extensions washed. $16-20 dollars twice . I called in to book an appointment to get it wash again . This lady told me its $45 per 15 minutes. Thats ridiculous ! Last two times were cheap because the new girls washed them was what she told me. That is very disappointing . I got the impression of that $16-20 was the fee normally because no one told me. Im never coming back . They raise price and try to over charge you . And they always have trouble finding my name .

I went to Taj salon for the first time today. And let me tell you, the experience I had was unforgettable. I was greeted right away by two very nice receptionist and Jasmine my stylist was amazing, she did a phenomenal job. Ive never had this experience at any other salon. This will definitely be the place I go to from now on. Thank you Taj staff for welcoming me and thank you Jasmine for my hair cut and everything you done for me. My hair is curly, thick and untamable but after my treatment it feels absolutely wonderful. Nice and silky soft. Theyre the best!
