Ive never had such bad service anywhere until my visit to Mediterranean this past week. I went on a Thursday night with a group of 8 for a birthday. For as empty as the restaurant was, service was unreasonably slow and servers were incredibly inattentive. Our server did not come to our table to ask if we were ready to order. We realized after 45 minutes of waiting we had to actually flag him down if we needed him. Food took a while to come out, which can be expected for a party of 8, but our server tried to give my friend an entirely wrong order and insisted it was right, even calling it by the name that it was NOT. My friend asked for a menu and read the description to the waiter to prove that it was the wrong order. The server actually tried to walk away in the middle of my friends explanation! The server appeared incredibly disinterested in resolving the issue until wed insisted, repeatedly, that the order was incorrect. Another friends meal came with a missing ingredient, got sent back, and didnt come back to the table until the rest of us were done with our meals. At the end of our meals, much time passed and nobody came by to ask if we were ready for the check. Again, we had to flag down our server to notify him we were done. The people at our table who flagged him down got their check, but not the ones who did not explicitly ask. We realized some at our table had already paid and were waiting for us to leave, while others hadnt even been given the chance to pay. The entire dining process was painfully long and Id never experienced service the way this restaurant seems to provide. Our hookah experience wasnt any better. We ordered two hookahs. Our server seemed not to notice he gave us one with an important piece missing. It took a while to flag him down and get our hose replaced. We realized later we hadnt been given tongs to rotate the coal/remove the ash, so we figured maybe that was a service they provided? Nope. We ended up finding a spoon and using that as a makeshift tool to take care of our hookah needs. Later we realized our other hookah was leaking a bit, but our server was nowhere to be found. When over an hour had passed and we were long done with hookah, we went inside the building--not once but twice-- to request our check so we could leave. We heard another table near us vocalizing their frustration with the lack of attentive service. If this was our experience on a weekday night, I would not like to see how this place is managed on a busy night. I will not be coming back again for dinner or hookah.

Dont waste your money!!! My dining companions and I were impressed by the building and the decor of the restaurant itself but it is the quality of a meal that makes a restaurant and not its decor. We immediately suspected something was wrong with this restaurant when we read on the menu that several of the entrees came with French Fries and not the fried potato dish that one normally expects with their Middle Eastern meal. We saw the potato dish we wanted and asked to substitute it for the French Fries and were told by the waiter that we could do so. Our meal came and to our surprise there were French Fries and ketchup instead of the substitution we asked for. We decided to let it slide as perhaps there was a communication problem. However, as we proceeded to eat we found that the rest of the meal was not of good quality. The hummus was tasteless and the meat was dry and not as flavorful as what we have been served at other Middle Eastern restaurants we have dined at. After dinner, we decided to try a dessert and ordered the Nomoora pie. What was described in the menu is not what we got. The filo crust was white and pasty and not golden brown and flaky like one would expect it to be. The custard did not come close to being custard. We suspected it was really a corn starch paste more appropriate for a home-made glue for a childs art project and not like a custard any of us ever experienced. There was no drizzle of honey sauce over it and no ice cream either as the menu had described. At this point we decided to bring this up to the waiter as there could be no communication problem as what we were served did not come close to its description in the menu. The waiters response was surprise that we did not like it as he claimed it was their most popular dessert. When the description of it was read off the menu to him so he could compare that to what we got, he responded that there was a new menu. What the heck? I dont know how a restaurant can operate like this. I would call this a gross misrepresentation of stating one thing in the menu and serving another. One should get what they order and it should be of good quality for the $$$$ that we spent. To be fair, the price for the dessert was removed from our bill before we demanded it be removed. Overall, we were really looking forward to a good Middle Eastern meal and walked away very disappointed by what we actually got. Needless to say, we wont be fooled again by bad food disguised in a snazzy building with nice decor. We will not be back.

My daughter and I just returned from what we thought would be a nice dinner at this restaurant. We were placed at a table next to the bar. We were promptly asked what we would like to drink and we also order an appetizer. I ordered a combo dinner and my daughter order a vegetarian spicy pasta. Our entrees were delivered in a timely manner. However, my daughter took a bite of her meal and questioned if she received the exact one she ordered. It appears to be sauteed vegetables with pasta and a very runny tomato sauce with absolutely no spice or flavor whatsoever. We mentioned this to our server and he stated it was suppose to be spicy. He returned with a plastic container with spices. Now, these are the spices you find in a jar at a pizza shop, not a $$$ restaurant. She added the spices, but it didnt change the flavor at all. As I continued to eat my meal, what appeared to be a manager came over and grabbed the dessert menu off our table and scrape something off the floor. He then walked to the garbage to dump whatever it was and promptly returned the menu to our tabletop. Hmmmmmmmmm. Then we also observed some employees drinking something from the bar during the work shift. Is that legal? Did I mentioned how many times during our meal our chairs were knocked by the staff moving fast throughout the restaurant. Not a pleasant experience when you are trying to eat your food. Finally, after leaving our most unpleasant dinner event, we stopped off at Taco Bell where we know what the food is going to be like when we get it. Good job Taco Bell!
