Absolutely horrible. Called to have someone come out in July 2015 to take a look and see if I would need to replace my roof based on age. Nothing more, nothing less. Next thing I know Im being told there is hail damage on the roof and siding and I can file a claim with the insurance company. Ok - sure. Tell me what I need to do. I was constantly following up with the consultant in charge of my project and having to keep track of where things were at. I finally call his supervisor in February of this year after the consultant quit returning my phone calls and talk with the owner, Ryan Stinson. Ryan proceeds to tell me that yes the ball was dropped BUT he knows the consultant devoted a lot of time and energy into preparing my supplement for the insurance company and they (Stinson) got me some generous numbers for repairing and replacement costs, despite the fact they will not receive any compensation for my project...REALLY? All this and they couldnt even get the supplement sent to the correct insurance company back in October. I had to send it myself this week. Finally Ryan proceeds to tell me that since I dont have faith in their ability to get the job done (can you blame me at this point, nearly eight months later?) that its best if I pursue this on my own with an acknowledgement that it will be an uphill battle in getting it approved as what was initially authorized by insurance was way smaller than what Stinson had prepared. Why tell me I have hail damage and then not follow through on your end with what you are supposed to do in terms of helping the customer through the process? Why bother with customer service when you essentially blame the customer for being upset with your ineptness and do nothing except look to get out from underneath a mess you have created? My advice - if you are getting ANY siding, insulation or roofing work done, hail damage or not - I suggest going elsewhere. Save yourself the time AND the headache. EDITED TO ADD: That the owner would add this in his response to my review, "We offered to continue to assist with your project but your disrespect for our company and our personnel was offensive and rude." is laughable. It also shows a lack of professionalism in dealing with the situation. After nearly eight months of barely any communication, except when initiated by me, I called to find out how my project was progressing. The consultant failed to call me back on numerous occasions. These are facts. I never once was disrespectful. I told the consultant as well as Mr. Stinson how I felt after nearly eight months. If I was so disrespectful why would Mr. Stinson admit they dropped the ball on this? Mr. Stinson did nothing to remedy the situation except to continuously tell me after I said I lost faith in the consultant and Stinson to do the job that Stinson could continue to assist BUT it would probably just be better for me to handle it on my own. Mr. Stinson did nothing except to work at getting out from underneath the mess his consultant created. These are also facts. If anything, the entire experience was disrespectful, offensive and rude to me as their (former) customer.

HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!!!!! We had Stinson put gutters on our house. The initial consultation was great. Jared showed up on time. Got right down to business. Took the measurements, asked if we wanted any changes to where the downspouts were ran (which we did), and then took a few minutes to put a quote together. No pressure. Just here it is. Let me know if you want to have us do the work. It was great. We decided to have them do the work. Called Ryan and told him. They emailed a contract to sign and a secure website for a down payment. The email said that as soon as we paid the down payment, our job would be scheduled. Heres why Im giving them 2 stars. COMMUNICATION WAS TERRIBLE!!! I signed the contract and assumed that I would be hearing when the job was schedule. NOTHING, for 2 days. So I emailed Cat. She claimed that she sent me a calendar invite. I didnt get it. The day our job was supposed to be done, it rained. Jared called me 5 hours before the start time and said its raining. doesnt look like well be working today. He said hell let me know when they reschedule. AGAIN, wait 2 days and NOTHING! So I email Cat and Jared. Cat got back to me and said that they had rescheduled the job for the following Saturday. Then told me that she didnt have my email and she just didnt contact me. WOW. We were out of town the day that they were supposed to work on the gutters. Got back home on Sunday. Only half the house was done. No phone calls, no email, NOTHING! So again, I have to contact Cat to figure out what was going on. It was just too much for me to try and figure out what was going on. Communication was so bad.

My wife and I decided that it was time to replace the roof, siding and insulation in our home. The home was a foreclosure and still had the original shingles and cedar siding from 1986. Needless to say, this was going to be an expensive project. I got quotes from a few contractors, including Stinson Services Inc. By far, Stinson Services were among the better quotes we had and they were associated with the company I work for through a system called MERCS. After talking with Ryan for a while, my wife and I decided to use Stinson Services for the job. During the process, the siding professionals showed up on time in the morning and left around 5 pm every weekday. It was nice to know that they respected our time and didnt work late into the night. The siding professionals were very helpful with little features I wanted to add or had questions about. The roofers seemed like they were never there, since they finished the 3000 ft^2 roof in a couple of days. Overall, Stinson Services treated us with respect and stood behind their work. Eric, the foreman, helped take care of any problems that came up and informed us about material delivery dates, project status updates and anything that we would need to know about. My wife and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat! If you’re reading this Ryan, I think the next project might be a stamped concrete patio.....would love to talk about that soon!

We bought a house in Bloomington in Oct 2011. The next summer we need to make a lot changes to the House. We had contacted many different contractors. My wife had called Ryan with Stinson Services. The one thing I really like about Ryan was he was honest and not pushy. I had told him we had a few contractors to talk to and it did not seem to bother. So after about week later we called Ryan back we had decided to to use him and his company. Ryan can back out and we went all details. We where going to replace all windows and all the siding. We had wanted to try a new product that was vinyl and looked like river rock. We wanted to put is at the bottom below the windows. The we would use Steel siding for the rest of the house. I have to tell you Ryan, Eric and there crew did a such a great job. I was so impressed that we decided to replace the driveway and garage. It all came out so good, It does not even look like the the place we had bought. I have so many complements for the neighbors. If you are planing and kind of work on your house or garage or anything else I would highly recommend Ryan and Stinson Services to anyone. Once again thank you for the great job you have done on my place..
