How do I get a job like Bruces, requiring zero people skills or respect whatsoever, and yet never any consequences for his flat-out contempt for and verbal abuse of customers? I stopped using this post office for outgoing deliveries years ago, after putting up his rudeness and watching him actually scream at a person and tell her he was going to throw her package in the garbage. And also years of lost mail, including my sent mortgage payments, lost packages which Bruce would just laugh at when I tried to track -- and watching a mailbox in the parking lot of the old Rainbow overflow, as they refused for weeks to pick the mail up there. Delivery is a JOKE -- I constantly get other peoples mail (including checks and packages) while mine goes elsewhere. Ive had packages sent from UPS to the Maple Grove post office for delivery -- and tracking shows Maple Grove sending them back, UPS sending them back to Maple Grove, and so on. Complaints do no good whatsoever, Ive made them to the local manager and upwards. Employees seem to know they are exempt from consequences, and so it continues. After enough lost incoming mail, I set up a post office box in another city for important mail (where they are VERY aware of the issues of Maple Grove post office and commented to me how many MG people drive there now to mail things), because Maple Grove post office simply cannot be trusted -- and apparently management doesnt care. And Bruce seems to have a job for life, knows it, and will continue to abuse and disrespect everyone that crosses his path.

I will avoid the Maple Grove post office service desk at all costs. Yesterday was the final straw after multiple times of being treated very rudely by both the women who work there and especially a disgruntled employee with a sharp tongue named Bruce. They may a healthy hourly wage, why dont they let someone who is grateful to be employed work there? Oh....waiting for their pension, I guess. Yesterday, another example of why I will never go there again. I simply wanted to mail a childrens book to Germany. It was a small $5.00 book, and the cost to mail was $15.00. Needless to say, that did not make fiscal sense to me. In a simply inquisitive manner, I inquired if there was a better way to mail that, as in bubble wrap etc. Bruce snapped back at how UPS would charge twice as much and was so sarcastic with his answer, I was shocked. I told him he did not need to snap at me or be sarcastic, I simply had never mailed a package to Germany and wanted to know how best to do it. This is not the first time. I would like to give the guy a break, thinking he was having a bad day. It appears every day is a bad day for that man. Byerlys in Maple Grove will be my post office of choice, or I will drive to Plymouth. Never will I make the mistake of using Maple Grove again.

Had my husband mail some books for me today, as I was home sick. I was VERY disappointed to hear that an employee named Bruce basically conned my husband into paying more. We ship all of my books - sewing and cookbooks - by media mail. Always have, as its the most economical option for our customers. Ive never, ever had a problem with them "qualifying" as media mail. Theyre BOOKS. Bruce was rude to and hassled my husband about the definition of media mail, claiming that because there are photos & diagrams in the books, that theyre considered "activity books", and dont qualify. This is absolutely not the case, as Ive had postal managers double check them to make sure. He paid double what he was supposed to, and we lost money - and time - because of his issues. My husband asked for a printout of what all was eligible as he left... and LO AND BEHOLD - instruction manuals qualify. USPS, having your staff be sticklers for the rules is fine. Rude service and "enforcing" rules that dont exist is ridiculous. He literally had a printout RIGHT ON HAND that specified that our package qualified as media mail, and still forced us to pay double what we were supposed to.

Worst post office Ive ever been to. No matter how busy it is (line going out the door on most days), there are only 2 people working the counter when there are 3 registers. Both of them are less than friendly. A guy named Bruce wouldnt accept my credit card (it was new) because it didnt have my signature on it. He demanded I sign it "to make it legit". Apparently they have a policy that it has to be signed before they will accept it. I asked him "What if the card was stolen? How would a stolen signature make it legit?" He didnt get it. Very clueless. He only cared that it was signed (stolen or legit didnt matter) so he could get me out of his way. There is always trash on the floor in the lobby, the floor looks like its been cleaned once a year, and they immediately shut the doors on customers at 4:55pm. Even the self-service Koisk is out of service more than it actually works. Nothing positive to say about this post office.

I have to agree with below - Bruce is AWFUL! Long story short, he never cancelled a transaction, I never got my stamps (he chased me out of the post office and took my stamps and receipt), and I am out $99. They acknowledge that I didnt get my stamps, that they have my money, but cant give me my money back. Told me to dispute with my bank. I did, and the bank denied me the $ back. Called last week and the "Postmaster" Dennis said hed look into it and call back, and NOTHING. Just called AGAIN, and someone named Jenny is supposedly going to look into it and call me back. I was HUMILIATED at this post office, and will NEVER go back there. Bruce had always been slow, striking up conversations when there is a huge line and just him working the counter. This last issue was just the last straw, and I am so glad its not just me that despises this office as well as Bruce. I now use the Osseo location.

I have used this office many times. I have watched Bruce behind the counter, as he stated, the only Bruce in this office, treat many people rudely. I tend to avoid him when possible. Today was my turn to be embarrassed. He refused to mail two packages I had because they were, "contaminated with oil." The pain was doubly felt as I waited in line for 30 to 40 minutes before being turned away. I walked into the UPS store next door and they mailed the very same packages via USPS for me with no question or comment on the packaging. They even suggested that service since it was cheaper then their own. No wonder the post office is broke, since guys like Bruce have broken it. Avoid Bruces line at all cost. In fairness, I complained to the manager and he seemed to at least take it seriously. Also, the other employees have been good and pleasant.

I am pretty sure people working in this entire post office are going through some life crisis and dont like their jobs at all.The ambience of the post office itself is so unwelcoming and this old man , a villain look alike from a 70s movie Mr. BRUCE, working there has no idea what he is doing half of the time ! . I went to apply for passport and they gave me application not valid for current year ,I had to refill a new application form and apply elsewhere. Never again. I dont mind driving a couple of extra miles for another usps. Cannot get worse than this !
