Be cautious that you will likely spend $400 for a diagnosis alone! This is not an affordable service like they claim. On their website, they highlight that they have "Upfront, straightforward pricing" but this is complete lie in my case. Please read the review and at least be informed about what you may be getting yourself into when you call them. When I originally called, the dispatcher stated it would cost $69 for the initial visit and to figure out the issue. When the electrician came out, he took about 20 minutes to check the main panel (which is something I had already done myself). He then told me he would need another $320 to diagnose the issue and said that was the flat fee regardless of how long it would take. The cost to repair would go above and beyond that. Since the issue was an electrical outlet now working, it seemed ridiculous to charge us $400 in total to figure out what was going wrong. What was even more frustrating was that when I tried to discuss the issue the electrician told me the customer service people are supposed to use the terms "assess" when describing what the $69 is for and not "diagnose" which is the $320 charge. Clearly the company knows it is at best misleading and it was the most concerning part of the experience to me. I do not recall the exact words the person used when I originally set-up the appointment, but I know at some point I wanted to confirm what the fee structure was I had essentially restated with the person that the $69 would be for the initial visit then I would discuss with the electrician how much the repair would be. That is the deceptive part. Clearly based on the electricians comments, this company is using vague language to get out to a customer then springing a significant diagnosis fee. I understand that it time to diagnose an issue, but the person setting up the appointment should have been much more clear about the $69 versus the $320 diagnosis fee up front. Or at a minimum, bring it up when I tried to clarify it with her. The electrician originally was nice, punctual and professional, but then became defensive during our discussion of the additional $320 diagnosis fee. He tried to justify the difference by saying the $69 barely covers the cost of gas (even though their location is only 10 miles from our house) and how their company would go out of business if they only charged $69 to figure out an issue. I understand they need to be profitable, but my issue is not with them making money. My issue was them being deceptive about what they call an "assessment" versus a "diagnosis" and the misleading way they use the terms. My secondary issue is the $320 flat fee to diagnose an electrical outlet. For a company who has their electricians complain about cost to go to a client, it seems ironic that they have no issue charging $320 to diagnose a single electrical outlet (let alone the fact that the outlet was in the garage with the main panel). The pricing may make sense for a complex issue, but not a simple one. Overall, my experience was horrible with them. From the deceptive practices regarding "assessment" versus "diagnosis" fees, to the person scheduling the appointment not clarifying the difference, to the electrician who repeatedly tried to defend the company by stating the schedulers are not supposed to use the word "diagnosis" when discussing what the $69 covers when clients set-up an appointment there was not a single reason why I would recommend them.

Stay away like the plague. Very unprofessional. Set up an appointment for Harrison electric to come out and give me a quote on some work I needed completed. First appointment set with a two hour window, no show by the technician. Call the office and the person who answered, I believe it was John Harrison, said technician was behind schedule and would arrive at 5 that day. At about 5:45 no technician had showed up. Contacted John again and he said technician was waiting for Excel Energy and would not be out, but someone would be there early the next day. Stayed home from work, no show again. Called and spoke to John again. He said technician was held up again. He said he would be out himself at 5. Again no show and at 6 called him and he said he was tied up, but was on way. At around 6:30 he showed up and I explained what I wanted and showed him a quote from another company. He said at the time he could beat that quote and would send his proposal over the next day. This was a Wednesday and on Thursday got no quote. Called the next day and he said he would have it out to me that afternoon. Nothing. Tried calling and texting with no response all weekend. Finally contacted him via phone and he had another excuse. Said he would have it to me in the early afternoon. Nothing. Finally got in touch with him again and again had an excuse. At this time I asked him if he wanted the job anyway. He said he did and would send over a quote, but it was higher than the other quote. I asked him why it would be higher when he quoted that it would be less. I then asked him, why would I waste my time and continue trying to contact him if I thought the estimate was going to be higher. I reminded him he said it was going to be less and he never responded He wasted my time and my patience. I cant imagine what the work would have been like and the excuses.

I called and spoke with a person in the office regarding the installation of two ceiling fans. The person I spoke to wouldnt give me an estimate, only saying the price could vary depending on required mount installation. When the electrician came over I found him to be very professional. I was given a quote for the installation and I was blown away. It was $225 per fan with no mount or special circumstances. Once hearing this i considered not using this company, but since he was here and I needed it done in a timely fashion I consented. Before having them come out I would get a general quote over the phone before they come so you dont waste your time.

We had an electrical switch problem with our garage lighting. I searched Home Advisor and Harrison Electric was recommended. The pleasant man from Harrison Electric arrived on time, and was most polite and friendly. He found the problem very quickly, and suggested the perfect solution to an unusual electrical situation. The price was also quite reasonable. We were very pleased with his work, and now that we have another electrical problem, we are looking forward to having Harrison Electric return to install a new post lantern in our front yard. Thank you, Harrison Electric Robert Schultz family, Roseville, MN

Found them on home advisors. Set up a time for an estimate. Materials suggested were not what we wanted. Sales rep said what we wanted would be cost prohibitive. Then he announced that there was a fee for him to come to our home? I give them 2 stars because they believed that we were never informed. Found some who did what we wanted for less than Harrisons bid. Only doing this review because they keep sending us thank yous? And keep asking us to rate them. So here it is, maybe they will finally remove us from their mailing list and follow through on our request to unsubscribe.
