Pros: They are cheap and its surprising that they can run a store with such low prices. Cons: 1. Racism: Suggesting to your black clients that they would look pretty with a perm or a relaxer is NOT OK. Not everyone in this world wants straight hair, this happened to us and I was SOOO SHOCKED. 2. Lack of education: My stylist started to comb my curly hair and when it became a bit like a afro she called over her sister/friends/coworkers and they started ALL combing my hair and they WERENT doing it right because it hurt AND it was STILL hurting when I went home. Plus they were talking in their language and its pretty obvious that they were talking about us. At least have the decency to pretend. I honestly felt like a bunch of hyenas attacked me. 3. Lack of creativity: There is NO creativity in this place. If you ask for one thing they will give it to you but if they make a mistake or problem in the mix then they offer no solution to fixing the problem. We went to another salon for the same problem and the stylist offered a solution. 4. Unprofessional: They are always texting and talking and acting like a bunch of high school kids who were forced into doing this its rather off putting. They were honestly more INTERESTED in their own affairs than the clients. Overall I WOULDNT recommend this place.

I went in one day to get my hair colored. They basically slapped on the hair dye and rushed through it. The dye got all over my ears, neck, and face and it stained in those areas afterward, since they didnt care to wash it off or clean it up for me. After the dye was on they told me to move so they could help other customers. I told them the dye was itching. My ears, neck, and scalp was burning and they disregarded it. They kept helping other customers and paid no attention to what I told them was bothering me. They kept saying it was normal for it to burn and in the end there was no difference in my hair color. It didnt even seem like any work was done and they kept saying that there was a change, knowing the dye didnt show up. In the end I didnt get what I wanted and I still had to pay for it. They didnt care to fix it for me at all. Later when I went home I got an allergic reaction to the hair dye, no surprise, and now have welts all over my scalp, neck, and ears. Ive gotten my hair dyed many times and this has never happened to me. Save your time and money and go some place else.

Had an appointment at 930am for 2 people for highlights. 2.5 hours later my hair had NO highlights. My hair was darker than what I went in the salon with. Then bleach was added to my entire hair while head in the sink. Made my hair turn orange EVERYWHERE. Then another person had to fix my hair. After spending from 930am-3pm my left with my hair done, but fried and nearly 12 inch cut off due to all the chemicals that were put in my hair. With the owner charging me double of what I usually spend there for the same highlights. I had to cancel 2 prior arrangements to get my hair fixed. I will never go back here again. I wasted a entire day, hair damaged, chopped off and still had me pay double of what I normally paid. Owner didnt appear to care to have my business come back again or she wouldve been apologetic and gave a discount for ruining my hair and taking my time away. Never thought I would spend 830am-3pm at a salon when it was supposed to take 1.5 hours to touch up my roots for a partial highlight.

Mai Hoa Salon is a wonderful place when you want to have your hair done nicely! Highly talented and very friendly staff. Ive had my hair done by Kim and Trang for more than two years. They are amazing hair stylists. I just tell them a rough idea of what I want for my hair, they make it look beautiful. I would definitely recommend Mai Hoa Salon.
