I got married 2 months ago, and on recommendation from a couple of folks I know, I took my wedding dress to Grand Cleaners to clean and steam my dress before the wedding. I called 3 weeks ahead of time, and the man informed me that I should drop it off 2-3 days prior to the wedding so I could pick it up the day before. When I showed up to drop it off 6 days before I wanted to pick it up, the woman at the desk informed me that they charge extra if they don’t have at least 2 weeks to work on a wedding dress. I told her about the conversation I had with the man on the phone several weeks before, so she did not charge the extra. We discussed that they would clean and steam my dress, and I requested that they were extra careful with the fabric flower on one side of the dress. When I went back to pick up the dress the day before the wedding, the dress was already in the opaque bag so I picked it up and was on my way. I got it to my hotel, took it out of the bag, and to my dismay I discovered that it was just as wrinkly as the day I dropped it off – and the fabric flower was nearly ruined and hanging by a thread. Reminder – this was the day before my wedding, and I was already pretty stressed out, so this definitely put me over the edge and nearly ruined my wedding. Luckily, I was able to find a different cleaner that was near my house (I wasn’t about to bring it back to Grand for them to fix, because at that point I definitely didn’t trust them) that spent 2 hours steaming the dress and fixing the fabric flower so it looked new again. I followed up with the owner of Grand Cleaning a few days after the wedding, and he did the right thing and apologized and gave us a full refund. So, it might have been an honest mistake and it might be worth taking your everyday cleaning to if it’s convenient for you. However, I would not recommend taking any special occasion cleaning here, because it’s simply not worth the risk of something like this happening to you!

I recently took my wool dress coat to Grand Cleaners to have it cleaned so it would look its best for my upcoming engagement photos. I dropped the coat off on a Monday, picked it up on Thursday, and it was totally ruined - the leather detailing on the collar, sleeves and pockets was destroyed, there was some strange patterning on the wool itself, and the coat wasnt even clean - there was still hair and fuzz on the coat. I called Grand Cleaners to discuss the issue - I needed a coat in 2 days for my engagement pictures. They told me that they had put a note that there was pre-existing damage on the invoice, so they were confident they hadnt caused damage. The only option they offered was to send the coat to their analysis lab for 2 weeks, and if the analysis lab determined they had caused the damage, they would reimburse me something. Obviously, this totally unacceptable. I dropped off my lovely dress coat on Monday, it was ruined when I picked it up on Thursday, I had no coat for my engagement pictures, and Grand Cleaners was blaming me for the damage. I will never take anything here to be cleaned again. If you are about your clothes, or actually want them cleaned and returned in good condition, I recommend you steer clear as well.

My white blazer jacket was returned yellow. Go here only if you want to play the he said she said game. They will tell you that you brought it in like that. The two owners have very bad customer service skills as well as poor business ethics. When talking to one the owners, his words in regards to my dissatisfaction of services received was, "I have more expensive clothes than this and if I get it dirty I dont break hell over it." He told me he was going to return $10, but was not there on the day i told him i would come. Never got anything back from them. Also, I got a second opinion from a retired dry cleaner and she said they mixed the fabric with other colors thus the yellow discoloration.

Ive been using Grand Cleaners (White Bear Ave) and others in St. Paul for several years. They arent always the cheapest but have always been the best. When I picked up my cleaning today, I noticed a paper bag stapled to the cleaning bag. Inside was a 20 dollar bill and money clip I had forgotten in the pants. I cant think of that many businesses with that kind of integrity today - theyve earned my loyalty for years to come. - Happy and surprised customer

Button was ripped off cuff of shirt and looks like iron got caught on shirt in two spots near button hole as there is two rips in my dress shirt. What kind of company will simply package that travesty back up and pretend nothing is wrong. When I called they simply say "we dont fix holes in shirts" Mistakes happen but the real issue here is a business and employees that wont stand behind their work and make things right.

Disappointed in the quality and the rude service as of lately. They do not check their work and had tried returning my sport coat to me with solution still on it once. Another time the employee refused to let me point out particular stains, and returned the garment to me still stained. I give up and will drive further to get quality service.

Wonderful staff and very clean & eco-friendly environment! My wool coat had a lipstick stains and I was heartbroken about it. Grad cleaners staff were able to remove the stains and my coat looks brand new! HIGLY RECOMNEDED!!!

Dont ever go here. Had an torn on my clothes and they wont admit to it. They wont even give your refund back!
