I read the other reviews and I have to disagree. I have had very good experiences with this post office and they have been nice and accommodating to me. My packages are always handled well. I stopped by one day while they were closed for lunch, but asked a carrier I saw outside if I could drop off a package that was already labeled...she said hang on, then someone came out and accepted my package. Also, when I moved to the area a few years ago, my carrier stopped by to introduce herself. Seem to be very good people.

I am constantly getting my neighbors mail. Today i was waiting for 2 packages, both had tracking. The first package said it was delivered and that individual picked this package up at the post office at 5:15pm. The post office closes at 4pm. Both my wife and I were at work all day. The second package showed that it was delivered at 5:45pm. The post office did not deliver any mail to me. I had a letter going out but when i checked my mail box at 7:20 pm the letter was still in the mailbox.

Defiance Post Office web site states: Hours: Open today · 8AM–12PM, 1–4PM Arranged a long lunch hour to run out there based on the published hours. Arrived to find they are closed for a 2 hour lunch, lounging in back. The post office closes for 2 hours in the middle of the day. Please close this non-functioning office so residents can go to a working location with regular hours, not closed for 2 hours in the middle of the day. WTF!

The woman who is in charge there, Yolanda, is a rude, snotty & uncaring person. She was gone for about a year and it was bliss! She is back and I have had the displeasure of having to communicate with her. What can I do? Im telling you, she is the devil spawn. I feel so sorry for the poor letter carriers who have to work there. YOLANDA!!!! BE NICE OR MOVE ON.
