We had our roof recently replaced by Allen Roofing this summer 2012. From the beginning it was a disaster! First of all we were not told that we had a choice of out-sourcing the job to immigrants, or keeping it local with Union roofers. Once all the workers arrived in their un-marked vehicles, the job went down hill from there. The crew failed to bring adequate equipment - ex. an electric generator, instead of gas for the nail gun, in which we had to provide the power for. The generator blew our circuit breaker 3 times and finally fried the wiring in our garage. At that point the job stopped so they could find a gas powered generator. In the meantime, we had to provide brooms for them to try and clean up their mess. Instead of waiting for the proper generator to arrive, they decided to start hand nailing the shingles down. The 1 day job turned into a 2 day job with a very late start the 2nd day and without a Foreman present. In the end, we were left with burn marks and oil spots on newly sodded grass, over 20 rusty nails found all over - some of which were picked up by my 2 year old niece and stepped on by my 2 dogs! There were a couple of other items, but by this time, I hope someone gets the point. When we tried talking to Allen Roofing about this, they acted as if its not a big deal - on their website it states "If its not right, well make ir right" - I would call that False Advertising!

We live in Franklin County and had a 20 year old roof and 40 year old gutters replaced in the summer of 2014. Allen Roofing folks were professional, communicated well and in a timely manner, and were kind to me, a person who does not know much about home maintenance. The teams of workers came early, worked efficiently, and cleaned up everything. These folks care about doing a good job. I never give five stars to anything; however, these people deserve five stars.

I would not recommend Allen Roofing. Poor / nonexistent communications, long and extended delays with no contact or status updates. Insistence to block driveway or risk further delays, no post-work follow up or inspection-- just mailed the invoice for the work to me without a word. However very quick to call me multiple times to let me know how inconvenient it would be for them if they could not block my driveway.

This started out to be an average experience that just became awful. I was told that the company would do what they could to assist me in getting a new roof, (State Farm has been awful too), and when the insurance company said they wouldnt pay for it, we were abandoned. We even asked about Allen doing our siding and they just pretty much forgot about us. I would never recommend this company.

Called Allen, Sent out Storm Chassers (RRSA) got an estimate said needed roof replaced, setup for Re-Inspect, different person who does estimate showed up says no damage. Called and emailed Allen got callback from manager and had someone from Allen do estimate same day. Make sure you get Allen employee out and see their name on their website

Do not use Allen Roofing!!!!!! they were bought out by a storm chasing company and ripped off my mother. Taking advantage of an old woman is a pure disgrace!!

Excellent service and follow through. Did the work for the ins money. All I had to pay out of pocket was deductable. No money up front required.
