Gina - I typically do not write reviews as I usually read them. However, after such a great experience I had with Kevin at the Pit Crew today, I felt compelled to take time to share my experience. First and foremost, to the lady Lavernes negative comments, I was very disturbed, specifically the erratic behavoir on suggesting Kevin the owner of pit crew "skipped his medication" and the nerve to call him "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde Syndrome." What a joke. Anyone who makes comments such as this, I would not put too much stake in their integrity. If she had a legitimate complaint, it would have been fair to hear detail of exactly what transpired regarding her car as I am sure there are far more to her story than the crap she stated..... Anyway, on to my experience/s. THIS MAY BE LONG, BUT WORTH THE READ........My car is due for plates renewal, therefore, I needed to get my safety & emissions testing done. Unfortunately, I have been riding around with my check engine lite on for a few months because I didnt have the money to get my car checked out. Of course, since Kevin at Pit Crew is such an honest and caring person with integrity and really about helping his customers the best he can, I figured I better run over to the Pit Crew! I moved many miles away from the P-Crew, but I deemed going to the P-Crew was worth every mile for service. Sure enough, Kevin ran diagnosis on my car and let me look at the code which was a Cad-Converter PO 420 code. He took time to explain how this was affecting my exhaust and that it would not past inspection until I have fixed. This is the kicker! Kevin informed me that for my car model, the government allows warranty on Cad-Coverters up to 80k miles. He advised that I should go to my car-dealer for service since it is under warranty! Wow! I was amazed! I told Kevin I couldnt believe he was honest enough to tell me that when he could have easily fix it and taken my money! I was prepared to get my car fixed at the Pit Crew! Boy! Kevin saved me about 1200 bucks! He is really amazing! Thats why I like going there, as I have gone there about 2 years and have been a satisfied customer each time. Once I saw him help a postal lady with her vehicle the same way he helped me! He told her that he was able to fix her car for a fraction of the cost as I remember she advised Kevin that another auto shop told her it would cost $800. Kevin checked out her car and told her to leave it with him while she finish her postal route. After she left as I was in the waiting area and heard the conversation between them, I said to Kevin that he was too nice. Kevin took me outside to show me what the problem with the ladys car really was and that he would fix her vehicle for under $100. I can truly say, at that point I knew I was dealing with a very honest owner/mechanic who was not looking out to make just a buck! He really cares about his customers.......I know this is a lo_____ng review, but hey! I am just sharing my truest experience with the Pit Crew....I cannot imagine going anywhere else for major auto repair as long as I live in St. Louis. I very highly recommend the Pit Crew for auto Service. I know you will not be dissapointed. Sometimes, they are so packed and busy, but if you can wait or leave your car....it is really worth the way. You will more than likely save money and get the best auto mechanic service in town. I actually told Kevin once, that I thought he was a mechanical-genius! I cant imagine anyone having any negative experience at the Pit Crew that warrants any merrit. Good luck guys! There are too many doggie-dog mechanics out here....take your car to one of the best and someone who cares....."THE PIT CREW!"

Pit Crew - You can trust them to do it right! I have been taking my cars to the Pit Crew for 13 years and have recommended it to many friends. The owner, Kevin, listens to me, checks out the car, and repairs it in a timely manner. Recently my water pump went out 100+ miles from St. Louis. I had the car towed to the nearest town and they said I had overheated the car and needed a whole new engine to the tune of $3300. I almost went with it, but then decided to call Kevin. He offered to replace the engine for $2800 with a one year/12,000 mile warranty, so I paid $300 to have the car towed 120 miles to the Pit Crew and figured I would save myself $200 and gain a one year warranty. A couple days later, Kevin called and said I have your car ready. All it needed was a water pump, water pump housing, and a couple hoses. That’s right, for a little less than $1000, including the tow I have my car back and running. No new engine needed. That is just one example of many that Kevin and his quality crew of mechanics saved me money on repairs and got me back on the road in record time. I will continue to trust the Pit Crew with all my car repair needs. WM - April 19, 2012

In a time when so many automotive shops get customer service and professional advice wrong, The Pit Crew has gotten them right every time for me - three times. The Pit Crew was recommended to me by a trustworthy automotive retail store. I was surprised to see a state-of-the-art steering alignment setup, technology that competitors cannot touch. These guys understand true chamber, toe, and caster adjustments. Most competitors will not adjust all of these in an alignment job. I was so impressed, I went back again for new tires even though I have done business with another shop for years. Even then, the courtesy I experienced from the owner and the staff made me feel that my vehicle running safely on the road was the only thing that mattered to them. From the initial consultation to the cool drink and handshake I received, I realized the staff at The Pit Crew is top notch. I highly recommend these guys.

I have nothing but PRAISE for The Pit Crew Team. Just when it was time for my cars safety and emissions testing the engine light came on. I went to a local auto parts store and the code seemed to point to an emissions leak. I replaced the gas cap and was referred to The Pit Crew. I spoke with Kevin and his team reset the codes and told me to drive it for awhile to see if the engine light came back on. I prayed and drove it over the next few days and the engine light stayed off. I returned to The Pit Crew to have the car checked and it successfully passed! The Pit Crew team could have easily taken advantage of me and made up reasons to search for a leak with added repairs in the amount of $200 - $400...but they didnt! As Kevin stated..."Its NOT about the money. Its about making sure you get great service." WOW! In todays society...I didnt know that still existed. WOW!

I had a very disturbing experience with Kevin at the Pit Crew (Florissant, MO) today. I was appalled at how he yelled at me because I wanted to know why I a was being charged a fee for something that was never fixed completely. All before today I was told there would be no problem; just bring the vehicle in. Kevin told me in a very ill and rude manner that he did not have time to talk to me because his wife was waiting for him so they could go to their childs game. He accused me of not wanting to pay, and directed me to contact human resources if I was not satisfied. Moreover, he screamed at me repeatedly yelling, "I sorry! What do you want me to do!" I am devastated at his behavior today. It makes me wonder if he skipped his medication or something because on previous visits he had been so kind. Talk about your Dr. Jekyll - Mr. Hyde syndrome.
