Took my van here for a free transmission inspection, and left it all day... when I came back they told me that the free inspection was inconclusive, and that I would have to leave it for another day and pay an extra $150 to have them look at it closer and tell me the problem... it sat outside the shop all day, and when they finally took it in I went over and asked to see the open transmission with the pan removed They said "I cant let you in the shop for liability reasons". then they brought me metal shavings on a cloth and said "these show mechanical failure... you need a new transmission, which will cost $$$$$. I said, no... thats four times as much as I bought this van for, I cant afford that. I took it to another mechanic who gave me a much more reasonable price, and gave him a deposit and permission to install a re-built tranny. After we left he gave us a call and said this transmission is fine... it always shifts on time... I wouldnt touch it. I can replace it for you if you want, but it isnt necessary. I protested that CT told me there was metal shavings and mechanical failure, to which he replied "they tell that to everybody." The time before when I got another van checked out I was on a road trip and told them to leave the car outside with they keys locked inside. They then locked it in the shop with all our bags and passports inside, then went on vacation. I had to call the police to get my van back. I would stay away from this place... to many suspicious practices.

Im usually skeptical of reviews b/c they sound like an employee of the business wrote it. This time the reviews hold true. I had taken my vehicle to 3 other facilities to have it fixed and none of them were able to accomplish the job. When I took it to Certified Transmission in Grandview, they said they would take a look to see if they could diagnose the problem and give me a call, even though I didnt have an appointment. I had given them a significant amount of information so they knew where to start but called the next day. I had located the part for a lot less elsewhere but they gave me advice when purchasing. They were also willing to install the new part WITHOUT charging me anymore! Chuck, Jack and Dan were great. Also, Chuck gave me a follow-up phone call 2 days after I got my vehicle back to see how everything was functioning. How many places do that?! Thank you CT.

Customer Service is the Best!!! I had an issue with my daughters Saturn, but I have gotten burned in the past by less than reputable transmission shops. Certified Transmission came highly recommended by Douglas Tire in Lees Summit. Chuck and the guys exceeded those high expectations. They communicated with me every step of the diagnostic and replacement process. I think we were all hoping for an inexpensive repair, but that was not to be the case. We were able to use the free loaner car and take advantage of the 6 month same-as-cash financing. when it came to have the car scheduled for the 2 week follow-up inspection, Chuck got me right in, on very short notice. I will always recommend Certified Transmission to everyone I come across. Thanks Again, for a Great Certified Transmission experience!!!!

I would not recommend this location as they dropped the ball on getting payment from my warranty company. After having my vehicle all week I was told it would be ready on Friday. I called them to make sure they said everything would be taken care of by the time I got there from where I work (45 minutes away) I showed up and was not allowed to leave with my vehicle even though I showed up with my portion of the payment. While yes, they did provide me with a loaner vehicle I did not feel that since I upheld my end that they should have withheld my vehicle because they failed to get payment. My warranty stated that as well as the transmission, the dipstick( that was rusted) and a few other small parts were covered, none of these parts were replaced. I was not at all impressed with this location.

I work for a company that out sources transmission work to Certified Transmission and recently had to take my vehicle there myself. I tried working on my vehicle myself and ended up having to take my Intrepid to Chuck and his crew after the used transmission I had purchased elsewhere didnt work out so well. Chuck and their crew went the extra mile to get my vehicle back on the road and running like new in no time. They were such a blessing to me that words cant explain how much I appreciate what theyve done. I highly recommend every one with transmission issues to take your vehicle to Chuck and the crew at Certified Transmission - theyll treat you right and you get your vehicle back on the road. Thanks, Chuck!

Amazing guys! I had to have my car towed there and they gave me an estimate that was outside of my available funds. They did some calling around and found a transmission that suited the purpose that made the whole deal fit within my budget. That was the best present that a guy could get this time of year!! Thank you Chuck and the rest of the team for proving that there are still honest business people out there. It is great to have my 99 Monte Carlo LS back on the road after it sitting for so long! My mum would definitely approve (it was her car)!! You definitely have my recommendation and any transmission business that I may have in the future!

I had to replace my tranny last fall and Chuck was very patient and helpful with me. That says a lot, because I needed my truck to work. He helped me out a lot. A couple of days ago, my tranny quit working, so I called him up and he remembered me amazingly. I told him what happened so he gave me the number to a very nice and affordable tow guy. I was barely over on my warranty, and really concerned about that, but he was kind enough to check it out anyway for me. Turns out it was something simple, luckily. Anyway, moral of the story is that I very highly recommend Certified Transmission in Grandview because of Chuck!

Really good service and they dont try to sell you stuff you dont need, like a transmission cooler (I was going to pull a trailer to Las Vegas). One local shop was going to be more than happy to oblige. These guys took one look at my truck and said You dont need it, its got one. You must have the factory trailer package". After that, when my transmission did go out (about 230,000 miles) I took it to them. They had a hard time getting it out due to rusted bolts but they did it. Only reason I didnt give them a 5 star is the price but you do get a 5 star product. I would go back if needed.

Blue Ridge Mazda in South KC told me about my 2004 Mazda 3 needed a new transmission. I paid $110 dollars for a diagnostic check for them to tell me that. I took it to CT in Grandview and Chuck handled this situation with great professionalism and knowledge. Not only did he save me money, bout $3000, I felt I was dealing with a company that knows how to take care of a bad situation. Thanks for all your help. You got a customer for life. This time an employee of a company made the difference and his name is Chuck. Keep it up Chuck!!! (sorry couldnt resist:)
