I was a customer of this business for 6 years and I used their service weekly , on the average I would spend $40 a week . So over the course of 6 years. In my eyes a good customer I spend over 12k with them during that time period. I called today to let them know when I picked up my cleaning I was missing a pair of pants. Keep in mind I was not angry or upset. I know things happen and I had received someone else article of clothing before and returned it. I spoke with Tim (he said he was the owner) right away he was very defensive. I told him I am not upset all I am asking is if someone returns them please hold them and I will pick them up. The pants were very distinctive they are police uniform pants, so not something everyone has in their closet. He continued to be rude and refused to even acknowledge or agree to assist in any way. I was not asking for them to be replaced I was simply asking if they are returned to let me know. The people who work at this facility are very nice, the owner if he is the owner is rude and does not understand customer service. Do not use this company .

If I could give this cleaners less than one star I would. They completely ruined a brand new suit that had never been cleaned before. Six weeks and many messages left after being told I would have to talk to the owner( Jim Mayfield) I finally received a call back. I explained (over the phone) what had happened and that I also had taken it somewhere to get a second opinion. He refused to entertain the idea that his business could have possibly damaged my suit. I asked the owner if I could just bring the item in for him to see for himself. He said no. I then replied, so youre saying you are certain without even looking at it? His response was to tell me stop yelling and threatening him. Clearly this man is running a very shady operation and would not recommend this to anyone.

One star is to high quality rating for this business. Over a period of less than one year I have had about 5 bad experiences with the quality of care of clothes. On the last they ruined my white linen short slacks by hanging them on the hanger with black slacks before they were dry. It took 3 weeks of me calling every day before the owner Jim would talk to me on the phone about it. He pretty much told me to go get (F word) and that he didnt want or need my business anymore and did not care about my clothes. Also he told that he was a reserve police officer and carried at all times and what he could do and get away with it. Spend the extra money for quality service and a business owner that doesnt need ANGER MANAGEMENT treatment

If I could select NO stars I would. They have destroyed 2 brand new suits of mine & recently my wife took my shirts in to be cleaned, pressed, & starched and we had to take it back twice & the owner stated that he would not try to fix what they did not do. Im not sure if theyve changed the laundry company that they normally used but this is totally disappointing. I never do reviews but when you look at a customer that has been with you for this long and you completely give the "I Dont Care" type of attitude, its time for you to hang it up. The customer service has dwindled to an all time low. If I could post the pictures, I would... #smh

The owner is a horrible person. He uses his position as a "retired" police officer to intimidate people. When asked about the poorly cleaned clothes he shouted racist words and refused to take responsibility for a very bad job. This he did to a guy in front of me. I intervened because Jims rant was ugly. My suits were in worse shape when I got them back. The sleeves had been mangled, the shirts were not washed but put through the iron anyway. The smell left on my clothes was very unpleasant. I would be better off throwing my suits in the street and running them over with my Nissan. Do Not Use This Place.

I brought in several shirts for dry cleaning, and Fifth Avenue Cleaners completely ruined one of the shirts with large black noticeable stains. When I called the cleaners to assess the situation and see what they could do to help solve the issue, the customer service was horrible. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and had a poor attitude towards the situation. She did not once apologize for the mistake. Also the smell of the shirts post dry cleaning is awful! I am still trying to remove the odor they left on the shirts. I do not recommend Fifth Avenue Cleaners at all!

I was taking my clothes to this place for awhile. Until one day, they ruined my pants I confronted the owner about it in a nice professional way. He called me a liar and told me that they didnt mess up my pants. The owner didnt care about my clothes and thus doesnt care about who he loses as customers. I will never take my clothes to this place again. A 2.65 dry cleaner isnt worth me taking a chance on my clothes getting ruined again

I took my wedding dress here a year after my wedding with some pretty bad stains on the back & bottom. They got almost all of them out of the bottom (which I thought would be impossible) & all of them out of the back. It was also 40% less than others Id called. It did take some extra time but was worth the wait!

Ive been taking my clothes to Fifth Avenue for years and they have consistently done a great job. Always great customer service. A couple of times Ive needed something laundered with little notice ahead of time (funeral, job interview, etc.) and they have always been willing to accommodate me.

Had been going for years but clothes were not cleaned or pressed last few visits. And then they ruined a beautiful sweater and two of my husbands shirts. Owner was rude and lied about condition of clothing I brought for cleaning. Did not care if he lost my business. Will never return!

Ive done a lot of business with this dry cleaner but will never go back. When I confronted the manager about a top of mine they ruined he yelled at me and was incredibly unprofessional. Ive never been treated so badly by a business. Completely unacceptable.

Horrible service! They claim they pre spray items but all mild marks from when I wore the items were still on my clothes the only thing that change is that my clothes smell like their store as if they bagged them and pretended as if they washed them smh

Not sure why this place has bad reviews. Ive been going here monthly for the past 8 years. Everyone is always friendly, my suits and shirts are always done right and the price point is he best in Kansas City. Keep it up girls!
