Tavia is now my go to hair stylist for my curly locks. After a small rough patch during my first appointment (I take full blame, poor communication on my part as I didnt really know what I wanted but, needed a change...drastically), we made another appointment to get me where I wanted with my hair. I had a go to stylist for decades but, usually wore it straight. Ive embraced my curls these past 5yrs and hardly get it cut or ever develop a style. Honesty, maybe only cut my hair once a year or so, if that. Tavia was nothing but patient, kind, understanding and knowledgeable during my first 2 appointments. She didnt want to shock me with a drastic change during my first appointment but listened and did everything she could for me and by the end of my second appointment, I walked out of there so happy after figuring out what I wanted, with a style and cut my curls have never seen. No charge on the second appt but of course, a tip well deserved. Just made an upcoming appointment for a trim and looking forward to it! This salon is great, with a great owner and great staff and I cant thank Tavia enough for unlocking my curls potential ❤️

As you approach the salon. It clear that things here are a bit different than other typical hair joints. This house tucked into Westport has distinct character. As did the gentleman that genuinely welcomed me. Which happen moments after entering. Not in that... Oh the door opened... I should say words fashion weve all grown accustom to. Tavia came walking up from the back directly behind my greeter. Hand extend, smile at the ready. Making me feel comfortable right off. She more than answered all my questions while listening to me ramble on and on. All this with a great deal of patience. At no point did I feel she didnt have all the time in the world to spend with me. Not just a number that was herding into the chair so that I could be shuffled out for the next number to replace me. I learned a great deal about having curly hair... From proper type of product, its use, care, styling and how to do it all painlessly on the go. I will definitely return in the near future. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This place is AMAZING !! My daughters best friend recently graduated cosmetology school and knew i wanted to get some highlights, she wanted to give me the highlights so i let her many hours later to my HORROR she had colored then stripped the color and then bleached my hair, i couldnt believe what she had done to my natural curly hair !!! So i called this salon and to my surprise a woman by the name of Sandra she asked me if i could come in right away so i did, When i got there Sandra and Adam accessed my hair, with me being on the verge of tears, Sandra hugged me and said everythings going to be alright ! Relieved that i wasnt going to have to shave my head, Sandra and Adam discussed what should be done to repair the terrible damage that was done .. Now my hair is on the road to recovery :) Sandra and Adam went above and beyond for ALL my needs!!!!! A new client for life ..Thank you Adam you are a true miracle worker.. i have been going to New Creations since this spring and had been very satisfied, but this last time i went, i took a picture of a style i loved which was very close to what i had. I just needed some tweaking and it would be perfect. what i have now is a shaved neck, 2 inch long bangs and a poof on the side of my head. the style i chose was longer with choppy layers (not chopped off). i had spent the last six months growing my hair out - which we had discussed - and now i have to hack off into a very short pixie cut to correct this disaster. the style is SO FAR OFF from the picture, i wonder if she even had her eyes open while she was cutting/hacking. she knew that i hate bangs, i like my hair longer in the back, and a poof? really? i sobbed all day yesterday as i kept trying to restyle it into something. i cant. there is no hair to style. i will not go back there. except to try to get my money back. this is hideous.

Fraud alert! feel I must warn the public about what I learned by sheer accident this week. I had a bikini wax here about 6 months ago.I referred another area newcomer from work who checks out everyone beforehand. She called the state and found out the owner isnt supposed to be doing waxing or facials because she is not licensed, She is not a esthetician or cosmetician..Im very upset that someone saw my body that shouldnt have because I trusted what I read online and it makes me feel mislead and ripped off! I noticed the website is different too. There are no names of the people who work there, weird. Whoever answered the phone even warned my friend about other salons "cheaper prices mean less experience and Sandra has 12 years experience." The state should do a better job at protecting people! I read some of the other reviews and they seem fake. When I went there was only 2 people there. I never saw the several stylists!

I’m a woman who’s always on the lookout for a great stylist. Well I don’t need to look any longer. I found out about New Creations through a total stranger. I was on my lunch hour just walking back to the office when I spotted a woman with an amazing haircut and great color. I stopped her and asked her where she gets her hair done. She told me she’s gone to New Creations Salon for a number of years and has gone to a number of their colorists and stylists and has not been disappointed yet. When the day of my appointment came I was excited yet anxious. I have to say this cut was by far the best I ever received and the highlights & low-lights were truly amazing! I immediately felt relaxed and enjoyed being in a place where everyone was smiling and was very professional. All in all a very “beautiful” experience.

I found this salon on the internet and prayed that the fabulous reviews were not an exaggeration...THIS IS THE BEST haircut I have EVER HAD! This can happen to YOU, too and your "mind-of-its-own" curly hair! Ginger is AMAZING! I have very curly hair and she spent all the time necessary to explain what she wanted to do for me and why... and then she made it happen. She added highlights, too and they are just right! It has been one week since my appointment and following her instructions, my hair is looking better with every passing day! In the past week I have actually had strangers stop me on the street and tell me what beautiful hair I have! Calling all Curly Girls: go to New Creations for a new YOU that you will LOVE! Sandra is the best- she is loud and colorful but what a good way to take your mind off the waxing! I look forward to going to her, she remembers whats going on with me and is so sweet. I went to an Aveda salon and had scars from the terrible waxing. After an appointment with Sandra, I am bump free and ready to go to the pool- she is amazing! I recommend her to ANYONE. The salon has a laid back style and is not your uppity plaza place. If you can be flexible a little bit, the service is worth it. If you are in a rush, just tell them and they are super accomodating. GREAT, real people who are VERY talented!
