The Deck Company of America has been such an amazing blessing to my family and to our community. Not only is this team professional, friendly, and affordable they are also dedicated members of our community who love to give back! Last year, my husband and I were blessed to receive a DeckOver. We were nominated by a dear friend who knew how much we were struggling due to my husbands diagnosis and battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). My husband had basically become a prisoner in our home until our beautiful new deck including ramp access was gifted to us. Not only did the owner, Michael Ormsby, donate all of the necessary materials, but The Deck Company family also dedicated their time and talent. In addition to a beautiful new deck, I have also made lifelong friendships that will be cherished forever! If you want to support a local who continually gives back to our community I strongly recommend Michael Ormsby and The Deck Company of America. Honest, affordable, professional, and one of us what more could you ask for in a company?

As a real estate broker, I have lots of experience with contractors. So when it came time to start making improvements to my back yard, I was dreading meeting with contractors. After the installation of my pool, I started interviewing several contractors to build a deck and a pergola. After receiving multiple ridiculous bids, I called The Deck Company. Originally, I thought theyd be too expensive, but they were well under some of the bids I already had, but The Deck Company was actually offering a better product! I chose to go with a concrete deck instead, and the work they did was awesome! They showed up on time and the finished patio was perfect! When they came back to build the pergola, I also had them bid all the landscaping as well. We had The Deck Company do it all for us! Weve turned a small back yard into an oasis now! Super happy and I highly recommend The Deck Company for decks, concrete patios, pergolas, and even landscaping! Now if I can only find a way to fit a hot tub back there!

While I have never been a client of The Deck Company, it is a company that has had a presence in my mind, long before I met the owner and staff. Its in my home and work neighborhood, and I had read about the owner/entrepreneur, Michael Ormsby in 417 Magazine and various other publications. Mr. Ormsby pursues fitness at the same gym as I and has done a community outreach of offering a free deck to a deserving family in need. When I approached him to help with my neighboring company, he welcomed us and gave us an opportunity to affiliate with his established company. I have to say, he is a man and company who provides opportunities and wants to see everyone succeed! I had them remove an old 2nd story deck on my walkout basement home and replace it with a much larger deck with 2 staircases. The old deck wasnt well built so I wanted to get a company that knew what they were doing for the new deck. The crew that worked on it were excellent (not part timers). The cuts are smooth and square, the railings are rock solid and they paid attention to detail (sanded the decorative cuts on the handrail posts - nice touch). I couldnt be happier with the results. They cleaned up the job site spotless before they left which is another big deal for me. I did have to wait two weeks for them to start which I expected due to this time of year and all the rain we have had this spring, but it was worth the wait.

Quite a few years back I spoke with what seemed like every company around that specialized in decks, and The Deck Company was the last one I spoke to. Honest ownership with integrity.their new underdecking product is fantastic. You can have the amenities of a deck along with a rain free underdeck patio area that can be easily closed off to create a four season porch area. So inventive and always expanding into new areas. Creative and every deck is its own original masterpiece. They use licensed and insured expert subcontractors in electrical, plumbing, and landscaping. They do more than just decks!! Ive always wanted a beautiful deck. And am now ready to get one. From what Ive heard they build really nice ones. But upon dealing with a lady named Annete, I assume she and her husband are the owners from how she acted, I will be taking my business somewhere else. First of all, I called numerous times and never got a call back. Then when I finally got ahold of her she was extremely rude and acted like I was bothering her by calling. I just cant believe how she talked to me. If this is how they treat customers I dont see them being in business for very long. I will be sure to tell my neighbors.
