My garage was hit by the tornado in north Minneapolis back in 2011. When I purchased my home in February of 2013 the garage was in shambles. Every company told me they would have to tear down and demolish what was remaining and start from scratch (excluding the concrete floor). I heard about Western Construction Inc through a friend of mine who also had work done by them. He recommended I give them a call before I make any decisions. BEST ADVICE EVER. Someone came out right away (same day!) to give me an estimate. It was immediately clear this man knew significantly more than anyone else I had met with. While every other company wanted to build me a new garage, said it would take 3 weeks, and wanted to take every penny I would give them. Western said they could rebuild the garage, and then proceeded to show me exactly how and why it was possible when I had questions/concerns that it was cutting corners. All of my concerns were explained in a way I could understand instead of construction mumbo-jumbo. The only thing that had to be entirely replaced was the garage door and they were even able to get me a deal on that! They were there everyday until it was done, anytime I spoke to any of the workers they either had an answer or got one for me immediately. I have never had such phenomenal service anywhere for anything. The bottom line: Western saved me almost $10,000, got the job done in 1/3 the time, the estimate was %100 accurate and never changed on me. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family, and will be using them again for future projects.

I compared about a total of 5 garage builders, before choosing Western. What sold me was his commitment and prep work. Brad himself came to do the quote. He brought his folder of information showing me his license, a better business report of A (which I also found on the internet) and certificates of him being a master of cement. He was very clear about how cement in MN can be tricky and it needs to be done just right. His literature helped on showing detailed pictures of every step of the building process! I liked this very much. He also provided a referral in my own neighborhood. I knew the garage already and loved it! It couldnt have gone better. The weather was beautiful. The work started a week after signing the agreement. Demo was done in 6 hours! After waiting a week for the cement to cure, work got started on the building and didnt stop until it was done 4 weeks later. I was careful to let the cement continue to cure another 28 days, then sealed it with a sealer as per Brads advice! Its been a thing of BEAUTY ever since!

Me and my fiance just bought our first home in South Minneapolis. Western was gracious enough to meet with us before we bough the home to give us a quote on the price of building a 20x22 before going into negotiations. Once we bought the house we hired Western for the garage. They were always very attentive to my needs and I always was able to reach someone on the phone whenever I needed. That is one reason why I love working with smaller family owned businesss. They have been building garages in the metro for almost 70 years and there work definitely speaks for itself. Our garage was built in start to finish in 5 weeks. Western was constantly on time with scheduling and stayed true to every promise. They dont sub out ANY work which we found comforting. I was talking to all of the workers and they have been with Western anywhere from 30 - 50 years. This is a true gem in Minnesota as far as builders go. I would recommend them to any and all of my family and friends.

In the fall of 2011 Western Construction built our new garage located in Minneapolis MN. We chose Western Construction based on their long history of building garages in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. Both my parents and my uncle used Western Construction when they built their garages back in the 1980s and 1990s. Not only were we pleased with the cost, but we were also pleased with their knowledge, quick follow-up and schedule of completion. Brad was very accessible and provided multiple referrals for us to look at completed projects in Minneapolis. With Brad’s expertise and knowledge we decided on a 24x22 garage with hardie siding, vinyl windows and attic storage. From the concrete guys, to the builders, to the electricians – everyone was professional, kept things on schedule and cleaned up after themselves. If you’re considering building a garage I highly recommend Western Construction.

I was in the need of a Garage, and really did not know what I wanted or could do. When western came out to meet with me, they were able to point me in the direction of what type of garage would best fit our needs. We were also abe to find out what we would be able to qualify for immediatly, to help with our Monthly budget. So i went with western, since I was able to recieve a quote the same day and everything was explained so well. We did have 2 other companies out prior to Signing with Western, however they did not even get us a quote that day. I guess i was very uncomfortable using a company that could not give me a price immediatly. If they dont know what there pricing is, how do they know how to build it? When the job was complete, we got what we wanted, and the garage is perfect thank you Western!!

took 4 months to build the garage, poured the slad 2 feet to far into alleyway so had to put on an extension and move the garage back. the extension dropped 2 inches, garage is falling apart piece by piece. Brad is very shady. my garage was burnt down and the biggest mistake was to let him see the check. i could have gotten double the garage for the cost. if i can stop one purchase with western it will be enough to balance out my pain and aggravation. you will be tricked by the extras and everyday after 12 shifts at work i came home to clean up their mess. oh yes thats an extra also. the BBB is full of s...t . DO NOT TRUST WESTERN they buy cheap garage kits from menards hire subs and screw the customers. period! Good luck & Be blessed

My dad was looking for a garage to do some tinkering in. He is not Internet savvy so I researched various builders in the Metro area and chose Western based not only on their competitive prices, but the friendliness of their staff. Brad came out and took his time to talk through everything with my dad. He was very clear on timing and what to expect. His delivery was exactly what he laid out and it put my mind at ease to know that may dad was taken care of. My dad has been a contractor for years but in his older age is not capable of building a garage for himself anymore. He is VERY knowledgeable on the topic and he talked very highly of Westerns level of expertise. I would definitely recommend this company again!

Our deck needed to be replaced and it had to be built to precise specifications required by our association. Brad Chazin took care of every detail for us. He handled all the communication with our association and got the permissions and permits and the lumber delivered amazingly quick. His crew was very professional and very polite and patiently answered all of our questions. They kept us informed through each phase and they built a beautiful deck. I have recommended Western Construction to friends and family and I recommend Western Construction to anyone who reads this. Brad Chazin is reliable, honest, and extemely competent.
