Nice atmosphere but the store is very cramped and there are a few staff members that make me feel unwanted. The store is clean but unorganized. Some of the items in the store are over priced or under priced for sale. I did meet this one person who worked there who helped me figure out Magic cards and how to play. It was the best form of customer service I had gotten in a long time. He was nice and polite and answered all my questions and suggested decks I could choose. (I am going blue and red btw. Some awesome cards in there.) Alas, I was broke and just wanted to know how to play and he was nice about it and I hope to see him again when I go up there to actually get a deck. I do suggest this place to go to if you want to get games or movies or cards as their prices are a lot cheaper than most with good quality stuff. But yet some of their stuff, as I said before, is over priced such as the stuffed pokemon toys. I picked one up to look it over and it was 30 dollars for it. I put it down as soon as I saw the price. Then when selling they actually are very cheap on that only paying half if not less to what they can sell it back to you for. It is better to get in store credit for what you are selling to them. Maybe even trade if you can.

This store does not have EVERYTHING.. the comic titles available are limited at best.. 50 titles at the very most, mostly the hot-sellers. If you are looking for less mainstream comics, its not worth your time. Yes, they have lots of cards for MTG and the rest, but there is little foot traffic and no tournaments advertised, so it seems that they are collecting their cards for their own use.. not to actually sell. DVD selection is great, but terribly overpriced. Most are $7 to $8 used, but I can buy a new copy of the same DVD at Wal-Mart for $5.00. Oh.. I spent 30 minutes looking at the comics sections without a single employee approaching me to assist. My boyfriend had to go up and INTERRUPT 1 of the 3 girls behind the counter eating popcorn to get ANY assistance. If no one has what youre looking for, this would be where I would go. Otherwise, somewhere else would get my business first.

Do yourself a favor and go to the North-side store. Has about the same inventory as about any Vintage Stock but most of the staff has a really bad attitude. Last time I was in was during a sale weekend, the staff was acting really pissed off that people were coming in during a sale, and were behind the counter making fun of customers coming in and out. Staff were actively discouraging people from trying to sell stuff to the store and pushing people to go next door to Entertainmart to make sales because they didnt want to do it and were "too busy". All-around pretty unprofessional, not a good experience going there.

Good variety, better than many Slackers anyway. Horrible pricing though. Expect to overpay by 40% for a given items value. They also tend to falsely advertise anything in their discount bins. So make sure to check all the pricing stickers over the whole item before taking any price for granted, then dont expect them to honor that. The stores cleanliness leaves something to be desired as well. Found a half decomposed, half eaten burrito in the stuffed toy bin. There was also a puddle of some kind of liquid in one of their loose figurine bins that appeared to be growing fuzz last time I visited.

I dont hate the place just the employees. They have cool stuff just no knowledge of the product they sell.If your going to work somewhere that sells comics and corresponding action figures shouldnt you know what the lines are that you carry? This isnt wal-mart this is a small store that specializes in Selling nerd stuff. Call them and ask them if they carry any marvel legends series figures or if they have the latest issue of the Snyder/Capullo Batman series and see what response you get they tell you no just because they have no idea what your talking about and are too lazy to find out.

No refunds on ANY new item. And overpriced. Went in there and was at first happy they had such a wide selection; retro games, card games, etc. Then I seen they were overcharging, $35-40 for Final Fantasy VIII, when you can currently get that game on eBay for $10-20. Whatever. I paid a premium for two PS2 controllers. Im impatient and only getting screwed on at most $10. Later, I decided I just didnt want them. So, both stores told me I wasnt allowed to return ANY new item that has been opened. Next time I will go to Wal-Mart, eBay, ask friends, or Amazon. Vintage Stock can screw off.

Worst video game store possible they very rude and unprofessional from my experience, bought an Xbox one brought it home had no power cord had to go back and get it then cam home again and the controller was broke went back again and replaced that the next day I was so dissatisfied I returned it and was treated very rude, btw I speak perfect English Im from Ohio and the employee asked if I was foreign, seemed like a racist shot at me personally who knows, I suggest avoid this negative environment.

The employees are rude. If you try to trade items there, they put you on a list so you cant trade if you have traded or sold more than four or five times. If you try to get your name off this list, no one ever returns your call. This makes you feel like a criminal when you have done nothing wrong or illegal. They just assume everyone is a thief. They over charge everything they sell. I tell everyone I know not to shop there. They have even been rude to my ten year old daughter.

Really frustraiting to have to come to the store to find out how much they will give you for it. Really silly and exactly why Im sticking with gamestop, These days it costs me more to drive to the store than the game is even worth, and they are counting on this... They get you in the store, you are more invested in taking whatever price they want to give you... Actually leaving now to head to gamestop where I know the price they will pay for my games is worth it to me.

We were in Springfield for a few days and got some dvds. We got back to Columbia we tried watching one and it was so scratched up it skipped basically the entire movie. We checked the other disc and one other DVD was scratched up. And you cant even check the dvds to see if they are good or not because they are wrapped up like they are new. If you are stopping by do not buy movies from here they wont do anything to fix it either. Ridiculous for what you pay

Beats Amazons prices on used games 14% of the time (I made a spreadsheet). Gave me startlingly good (store credit) trade-in for my Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. As other people have said, this is not the best place to turn your used games into cash. Rather, Vintage Stock is a really good place to turn your used stuff (especially Yu-Gi-Oh! cards) into store credit. For that reason, V-Stock fills a need for me, and fills it effectively.
