I would stay away from this individual storage facility until they hire more competent employees. I rented a storage unit on August 27th and took advantage of their "$1 first months rent" I reserved it online, which gave me a total of the $1 plus admin fees. Chris reached out to me and confirmed my reservation and the price. However, when I showed up to pay for the unit and get it all set up I dealt with a different employee, Maryanne, I was bombarded with "you have to purchase insurance, you have to purchase(not use then return) the lock, and you have to purchase the moisture chemical to keep moisture out". Surprisingly the total online and the total Chris gave me TRIPLED! A couple days later...against my own gut feeling I rented a second unit at full price. Fast forward 1 1/2 - 2 weeks....the second unit I cleaned out and no longer needed, i forgot to lock it and thats when I got a call from Maryanne. She explained to me that she needed to vacate the unit if I was done with it. I the. Informed her that that is fine as long as I get a refund for the remainder of my unused rent. She said that I would but she couldnt tell me what it was and that I needed to contact customer service. I told her NOT to vacate my unit until I confirm my refund. When I called customer service I was told that they can not refund anything because Maryanne has already vacated the unit....against me telling her not to. They then told me that they do not reimburse for unused time. At this point because of what Maryanne did, I was told I would need to deal with the district manager. When I spoke to the DM, I was great full that he resolved everything and he gave me a full refund for the unit, the DM was great!!! Now, fast forward another week back to my first unit, the "$1" unit....I went to go and get a few things from this unit after office hours...to my suprise there was another lock on my unit. A red lock. So I called customer service and was told there was an unpaid balance due so they locked it. Now remember, I have not even used a full month yet. I asked what the balance was for? They said it was my September payment. So, to break this down for you...I rented this unit Aug 27th and PAID FOR A FULL MONTH, they then locked the unit around 2 weeks later for not paying for September. From what I understood....their rent is due the first of the month for the preceding 30 days, and because I started Aug 27th it went to Sept 27th and then there would be a few days of September left that would be pro rated. Which I get. However, I am completely baffled at the fact that a week before I noticed the lock that Maryanne herself called and left me a voicemail as a "courtosey reminder" that my bill would be due September 27th...making no mention what so ever of any lock, or issues with the unit or bill!!! And the fact that they technically locked me out of my unit during a period that I have technically already PAID FOR! After returning the next day to speak with someone the employee there seemed to give zero cares about the issue, at times interrupting me, and not wanting to listen. He finally apologized for the issue stating it was their fault and done inadvertently. Not to mention he embarrassment of being there trying to unlock my unit while other customers where around and were trying to figure out why a red lock or "pay your bill" lock was on our unit when it never should have been. All in all these employees are the worst. As they obviously has an issue with proper communication. Chris could have been upfront about the pricing instead of telling me all I would owe was a $1 and the admin fees when I ended up paying over $60....and the last gentleman I dealt with to unlock my unit could learn to care a little more when you make a mistake as big as keeping my family and me away from our personal belongings during paid for time. Lastly how is it even legal or good business practice at the least to charge somebody for a months rent, then vacate them sooner so you can rent it to another customer to double up your rent???

Im incredibly unhappy with Public Storage. The price listed online is NOT what you will be paying when you rent a unit. Unfortunately, you HAVE to purchase insurance from them every month ($11 extra every month for me), and when you first start to rent, you have to purchase a lock they sell. The lock is available from a box store for around $7-8, but they will charge you $20 for the same thing. Recently, I received news that my rent will be going from $162/month to $189. They only gave me 30 days of notice. Ive been with them for a while, but I plan on leaving as soon as I can make other arrangements. Being nickled and dimed by a business is one of my biggest pet-peeves. Public Storage has hidden fees. They price gouge with outrageous mark-ups on their locks. Lastly, they will drastically increase rent with the legally minimum amount of time required to notify tenants. Look elsewhere for storage. Youve been warned...

I have been with public storage for a while and it was such a great experience dealing with this company. I felt comfortable keeping my valuable things in a public storage unit. I have just vacated my public storage unit at the valley park location and I called earlier this week to do so and talked with Don he was so nice and helpful. With the great customer service that Don provided for me both on the phone and in person made me feel like I can come back at any time.

Mary Anne sucks at her job. Facility is crapoy and overpriced, and this dare i say woman, is so ill informed that she cant even communicate with her own customer service to verify payment. I have recieved nonpayment calls for two weeks when the unit was paid for weeeks sgo! Then the shrew hung up on me without resolving the problem. Problem is YOU SUCK AT YOUR JOB. I DONT RECOMMENT THIS PLACE. MARY ANNE IS AN ILLINFORMED OLD BAG OF DUST. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Although we were not able to use this location for our storage due to location we found that of all the Public Storage locations we contacted this one was by far the best as far as service is concerned. A wonderful young woman by the name of Tatiana went beyond the call of duty to help us locate and reserve storage space nearer to where area we needed. She was cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful.

i went to this location to check on comparing prices and units with another storage company. I was very pleased with the service that I received at public storage. The girl who helped me, her name I believe was Sierra, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the products and services that you provide. Thank you for making it an easy decision as to which storage company I will use.

I went in the other day looking at storage for my goods and I went in there just looking for prices and I left laughing and having a good time. Don showed 2 units, explained prorates and told me how to pack and showed me some supplies. Luckily I get store my stuff in my dads shed, but at least I know who to go to and know that storing is goin to breeze. Thanks Don!
