Recently, I was hit from behind while waiting at a 4-way stop. The other persons insurance (Travelers) handled things, almost TOO eager from the first contact to write me a check and be done with me, which had me skeptical of how this would play-out and that almost did become an issue. But Matt and his expert staff juggled my repairs, the rental car, and the insurance company all very well. I had used Central Body before for a small self-pay job on this same car, and was very impressed that time - so had no question about returning. This is a 1999 Toyota so some would wonder why Id bother to fix it, but we love that little car, and it is in almost perfect condition. Matt appears to understand my attachment!! Apparently the bumper that Travelers Insurance had located for the repair came with damage and had to be returned,so the repair took half a day longer than Travelers adjuster had estimated, increasing the rental car costs, which in turn generated a really snarky email from Travelers insurance to me about how I now would have to pay for that rental car. But Matt and Judy handled everything, I did not have to pay a dime. When all was done, they arranged for the pick-up of the rental car, all I had to do was show up and drive my car out of the garage. The car looks GREAT, and was done on schedule for me. If every business would take a lesson from Matt and his staff at Central Auto, my life would be so much easier! I went into Central Body to get an estimate on our box truck because it was involved in an accident a few months ago. I was referred to Central Body by Don and Rons Auto Collision. Everything was great with the meeting and while Bill inspected the vehicle. He told me he would contact me within a few days and let me know the damages. I did indeed receive a phone call and was told my vehicle was totaled. I then contacted the other partys insurance agent and she told me she had needed a copy of the estimate so we could get things processed. I then emailed Bill, and had called Bill twice and was told he would call me back with no call back or email back in order to get this estimate sent to the insurance agent. The insurance agent then called him and got a hold of him and was told it would cost her a few hundred dollars in order to get the estimate...(but doesnt your website state free estimates?) or am I just wrong? I was pleased at first and then it kind of went downhill from there...So I will now be on the hunt for another repair shop to get the issues resolved...

Pros: Lady at the front desk was very nice, but if asked any question she could not answer them (not a big deal and not really expected) - Clean facility Cons: Took 2 weeks to get an estimate back after I brought in my car - I made an appointment to have the estimate done, but Bill was at lunch so I waited 10 to 15 min, then some else came and took photos for him to do the estimate off of later - On the phone Bill told me he would take the value of my groupon and apply it to the repairs, he would not do that once I spoke with him in person. - The earliest day available to bring my car it to be fixed was over 1 1/2 months later - When Bill looked at my car when I brought it in to get fixed he basically said it would cost a lot more than the estimate, but would not provide me an amount - I do not know if their work is good because I chose not to give them my service because I felt ran around and lied to. I will start by saying that I am a bit of a gearhead and am overly protective of my cars. A few months ago my wife came out of work to find her car had been backed into while she was inside. The offending driver did not leave any information, so we were stuck paying our deductible ourselves. I found Central Body Co. via Google and drove the car over there on a Saturday morning. Matt came out, took pictures of the damage and gave me an estimate the next day via Email. Due to our 07 Saturn ION Redline being a bit of a limited edition model, some of the bodywork damaged is unique to the trim. The first bumper they received was not correct, but the crew at Central Body noticed right away and sent it back. After the work was completed, I am more than happy with the quality and fit/finish. it looks better than when we purchased the car! Thats saying something, as it only had 32,000mi on it! Do not hesitate to trust these guys with your vehicle, they are true professionals.

Buffing worked! Our new Jeep had about a softball-sized blemish on it from a bicycle on a rack placed on the back of the vehicle. During transport, one of the bikes metal handlebars rubbed a large spot on the Jeeps hatch door to the point that the paint was texturally different. Thats BAD. An auto body shop on Center Street in Omaha immediately quoted me $650 for repainting the entire hatch door - without the option to even TRY to buff it out (they told me buffing wouldnt work). I stopped by Central Body immediately after the $650 estimate - and Matt not only said his cost to repaint the hatch would be about $450, but offered to try to buff it out first. He added that if buffing didnt work, he would apply the cost of the buffing to the larger cost of repainting. Lo and behold, 20 minutes and a buffing later, the Jeeps hatch looks good as NEW. Buffing was a FRACTION of the repainting cost. I was thrilled and extremely grateful.

Took my truck here for some repairs. They did good work overall. It took almost 3 weeks to complete the work on my vehicle and upon getting it back I noticed a few things. For some reason they replaced my window vents, not a big deal but they are different than what I had previously and I didnt care for them as much. My other concerns were when they painted my hood I could see some spots where it appears a bubble may have popped in the paint. Small little spots but I am just hopeful that they dont chip away over time or if they do that they will warranty it. My last concern was a dent in my fender. You cant see it when looking directly at it, but when you are standing away from the vehicl and look in the light you can see something is definitely there and can feel it. Overall the work was decent and Id consider possibly coming back.

I strongly recommend Central Body Company for your auto body repairs. I collected five estimates and did my research before I chose a body shop for my car. The estimate was competitive and I appreciated Matts honest and upfront communication about repairing my car. Matt worked with my insurance company seamlessly and his crew did top-notch work to repair my car. It looks like new and was even detailed before I picked it up. I appreciated being able to drive away in a freshly cleaned car after my repair. The staff is professional and friendly from the front of the house to the back of the house. Lastly, Matt loaned me a car to drive, free-of-charge, while my car was in the shop. This is an impressive, locally run, family business; they are honest and hard-working people that will take care of you and your property.
