Id love to say "WERE 120% SATISFIED" and leave it at that... but thats not very helpful to you. So heres a much more thorough review. Weve been burned plenty of times by contractors that do a "bait and switch" -- their sales guy talks a great game, but the guys who do the actual work have NO business lifting a nail gun. Siding, windows, shower refinishing, leak-proofing, you name it... its always been HARD for us to find someone who will actually deliver the goods. We finally did find an amazing general contractor (who we now use for everything possible), but unfortunately, they dont do roofs. So when the April hail storm swept through Omaha, we were NOT looking forward to having to find someone to handle our roof. That trusted general contractor recommended McCoy Roofing, so we gave them a call. McCoys project manager (Adam) was VERY professional. He examined the property alongside the insurance adjuster -- to help avoid any hassles down the road with discrepancies between what the contractor charges and what the insurance company is willing to pay out. When the adjusters damage estimate came in the mail, Adam explained it completely to our satisfaction. The insurance claim process can be very confusing and unfamiliar (I mean, seriously, how often do we have to navigate it?), so it was really nice to have an experienced voice make sense of it for us. With most contracting companies weve dealt with, theres been a key difference between management and labor (watch for it!): management is around at the START and END of the job, but rarely -- if ever -- do they look in WHILE the work is being done. Not so with McCoy Roofing. During the three days our roof was being replaced, we saw Adams truck in front of our house at least once DAILY (and Adam himself up on the roof each time, inspecting the work). Thats pretty important to us, because its apparent that the company takes its work and reputation pretty seriously. The day the work was completed, McCoy sent a different guy out to do a final inspection -- after which a crew member was sent up to touch up one particularly complicated spot on our roof. We liked that, because that "extra" step (which, frankly, ought to be part of every contractors services) tells me that they know doing the work CORRECTLY is as important to their business as it is to our family. Finally, as a small business owner myself, I very much prefer to do business with other local businesses -- not only because I want the dollars to stay in Omaha and Nebraska, but because I want to be sure we can get service if we need it. It seems like every time a storm comes through town, a million roofing and siding outfits pop up overnight (most of them sporting out-of-state license plates on their trucks)... so we were very happy knowing that McCoy Roofing is an actual OMAHA company. Theyll be right here if we need them. Anyway, like I said: were 120% satisfied. Thanks, McCoy Roofing.

Scott Stanley, a Project Manager at McCoy Roofing, has been an absolute Godsend in our time of crisis and need. Starting in March of this year, our house developed numerous leaks. Between March and June, we interviewed no less than 20 contractors to find someone willing to diagnose our problem and do the repairs. We encountered people who gave us bids and then never answered our calls, people who made appointments but didnt show up, people who could not diagnose our problem, and people who claimed that our leaks came from the roof. Scott spent 3 hours inspecting every inch of our roof and told us honestly that the roof was not the problem. For a roofing company to turn away roofing business because it was the right thing to do showed us how much integrity Scott has. He even took us into the attic and proved that there was no water infiltration. He then worked with us for several months to find contractors who could address the source of our leaks, spending hours with us and meeting multiple contractors at our house with no promise of a return. When I asked him why he and Beau McCoy were willing to spend time helping us when there was so much easier insurance money out there waiting to be had (due to hail and wind damage this year), his answer was, "Because while other companies may swarm in and leave, were here to stay, and we were built on the business of helping people, its something we never lose sight of." That left a deep impression on me. I cant recommend McCoy roofing enough. Both Scott Stanley and Beau McCoy are as honest, responsive, and knowledgeable as they come. At a time when no one else was willing to help us, they never turned their backs on us. I only hope that everyone in need is able to find themselves in such capable and reassuring hands.

After our roof was completed by McCoy Roofing & Siding we had numerous leaks causing interior damage. During the initial shingle tear-off phase it was discovered we had moldy sheathing. We were told by McCoy that all the moldy sheathing would be replaced. We found later that all the moldy sheathing had not been replaced. Our contract stated new vents, valleys and flashings would be installed. We received new valleys, but not all of the vents and flashings were replaced. McCoy was also not aware that a City of Omaha building inspector should inspect a roof upon completion. We requested an inspection and were "red tagged" for several items done incorrectly. We eventually hired another roofing company to fix our numerous problems. McCoy did reimburse us for those costs. They also paid for the interior water damage repairs. They were very responsive when I would text or email, but in my opinion the quality of workmanship from the very beginning was poor and we did not receive what our contract stated. What I thought would be an easy process turned into a 10 month project of continually having problems with our roof.

McCoy came out after a hail storm in May for an estimate. They were also at my house when the insurance adjuster arrived. Then, I simply could not get any help from them whatsoever. My wife and I called several times, but we never received an estimate and they never checked back. The sign they gave me to put in the yard was thrown away after a couple months. I finally had another company install a new roof in September. Our next door neighbor said she experienced the same with McCoy. Very courteous up front, but absolutely no follow up.

Personally, they may do great work, but that is now irrelevant to me, and I will never use them. The guy driving their company truck just passed me on the interstate swerving in and out of traffic, while tailgating the car in front of him the entire time. If they run their business like they drive and act in the public eye, I want absolutely no part of that. Endangering the lives of motorists on the road is completely unacceptable.

I wanted to thank you for the professional job you have your crew did on my home. we were impressed with the service we received from your company and wanted you to know. The crew that came out to put the new shingles on our house worked diligently. We really thought you were joking when you said it would be finished in a couple of days. We were pleasantly surprised that they were finished in a day and a half it was amazing.
