Stay away from Charlies "Welcome Workout"! I signed up for this gym online and when I came to one of the classes I was told every new member gets a welcome workout with the personal trainer. So I scheduled it for a week later at 5:30pm. Charlie called and left me a couple voicemails, I received an email confirming the appointment and Charlie also sent me a text on the morning of the the appointment to which I replied confirming I would come. I left work early in order to be there 10 minutes early for our 5:30pm session. So at 5:20 I go to the receptionist and let her know I am there for the welcome session. After waiting for 25 minutes with no sign of Charlie I told them I had left early to be there on time and asked where Charlie was. A few minutes later he shows up saying he wasnt sure I was even coming because I did not call him back (?!). I was confused by that statement considering I had texted him that same morning confirming the appointment. You would think the first thing he would do is apologize for being late but he chooses to blame be for it instead with a bogus "I wasnt even sure you were coming" excuse. That was the first red flag this so called welcome session was going to be a disaster. It turns out this is not a training session at all. They just call it that way so they can very forcefully try to sell you their training packages. Charlie was rude and extremely pushy even shouting "I am a man of science" when I shared I read a lot about nutrition and training. I suppose that was his way of telling me it didnt matter what I knew as "he knew better". I was outraged by his lack of people skills, and how aggressive and rude he was in trying to sell his training packages. I told him I felt deceived by this so called training session since he was not training me at all to which he responded "I was told you were ready to sign up". That is so ridiculous. Obviously, no one told him I was ready to sign up. But that seems to be all he cared about. He just saw potential dollar signs on my face and I felt disrespected by that approach and the way he behaved. He was not listening to anything I was saying as he asked me 3 times what I did for a living. This man should not be in a position to deal with other people without going through some serious training first. I would leave negative starts here if that was an option. I was so disgusted by the way he acted I havent even been back to that gym since.

BEWARE of startup fee, one time fee etc. I got a flyer in the mail that stated it was a $10 a month membership, no contract required. Come to find out, in order to do the $9.95 monthly membership, its a $99.99 startup fee, plus a one time fee of $39.99 then $9.95 per month with auto deductions from your account. You have to give a 30 day notice to cancel in which they charge you for that month/the upcoming month depending on when last payment was. AND the $9.95 membership doesnt give you access to classes and other perks. If you want the step up, which includes classes etc. Its a $19.99 startup fee" again with the $39.99 "one time fee" and then $19.95 a month thereafter. I did the math, the step up membership (for $19.95 a month + added fees) is only $12 cheaper per year than a LVAC membership which includes the same benefits if not less than LVAC. In addition, they were just as pushy as a contract gym and tried to upsell. So for me, personally, Ive decided to hold off until further research of competing gyms has been thoroughly investigated.

BEWARE- FEEs The gym was nice and close to my house but they nickel and dime you for everything. When I signed up back in May I asked about the cancelation policy the guy who helped me stated I could cancel or change my agreement at any time with no charge (I specifically asked because I have ran into the same issue before at another gym). Today I go in to make a change to my plan and they inform me there will be a 39.00 fee to take off child care that they already charge 12.95 a month for. When I decided I would just cancel they tell me I have to call a # they cant do it at the gym, I call the number and now they are charging me not only another month of 34.95 but they are also charging a 15.00 cancelation fee. Now I know I made the right choice back to Planet Fitness I go since they have no hidden fees and dont lie to people to get them to sign up!!!

I am active duty military and have been stationed in LV for 5 years now. I am a Florida resident and have no interest in becoming a NV resident after serving for over 11 years. I visited the Eos center off Sahara to try the 7 day pass but was told in needed to be a resident or have a lease or utility bill in my name. I tried to show my bank statement on my phone with my LV address because I live with my boyfriend and everything is in his name. I personally feel this is unfair because I should be able to qualify for the 7 day pass to try out your gym just like a local. The manager wouldnt allow the front desk staff to allow me in and I think your policy needs to be reevaluated to accommodate active duty military. This is very disappointing!

The marketing people at this location have been told several times to stop contacting me. Once again, at an UNGODLY hour for a weekend, here they are texting me. Since Im up and reporting to the FCC I thought Id stop by the review page as well. I belong to a gym where my minimal fee gives me access to all equipment and facilities. Also, the marketing staff isnt so desperate they cant be bothered to update their requests for not contact. This will be the third request, made in text message, and I look forward to sharing these and my prior screen shots on my subsequent reviews and reports. Maybe now I can have my number and contact info removed

I tried to write a review on YELP, but failed (better said, YELP failed!) The Sahara gym is GREAT! Brand New, and super Large! Everyone is SUPER FRIENDLY, particularly front desk Greeter, JO, is the friendliest member of the EOS staff...she really makes a member feel welcome, particularly as early as I get to the gym! Congratulations on putting a great gym and staff together! Particularly today! Its NOT easy to do anything which receives a positive feedback...EOS Sahara & JO, supply me with that smile daily!

I really like the gym itself. Signing up was great the girl that helped me was very helpful and had an amazing attitude. Then she told me I had to do some evaluation about my goals and set an appointment with a trainer. Pretty much is to sell you personal trainer and I didnt want one. Once he realized I wasnt buying completely became a jerk and just wanted to get rid of me.
