Mr St George, Im writing to report a complaint against the Eastern Ave LVAC and employee Steven Morales. That night I was jumping rope in the upstairs spinning/multi purpose room and was very considerate to the 4 people already using a corner of the room. I kept to my own area jumping rope but I noticed that several times while I was doing my jump rope sets a guy with a grey shirt from the group of 4 would walk directly toward me out of the corner of my eye while I was working out, and would get way unnecessarily too close and creep on me when walking behind me. When they started to leave they were loitering right around me. I said something about it, that I appreciated how I was considerate to them but that the dude was creeping on me this whole time. The guy started telling me to calm down to antagonize me and even raised his arm at me and pointed at me aggressively. I said dont raise your arm at me and dont tell me to calm down. He and one of the girls started to cuss me out as they left the room. I cussed them out right back. A few minutes later Steven Morales entered the room and took a very confrontational and aggressive tone, demanding to know what was the problem. In a large room, he walked over to me and was probably only a foot or 2 away which made me feel very uncomfortable. He tried to shake my hand, angrily, and I refused. I said I dont want to shake your hand and it set him off. He accused me of yelling at him, I said you are in my space so youre making me feel uncomfortable. He said "Im not in your space, if I was in your space..." aggressively and postured to which I said "whoa you want to threaten me?" I realize after calling to attempt to talk to you today that my membership was cancelled. I wasnt going to renew. This incident made me sick and a clear injustice was done to me. Your employee acted like the fact he worked there for 20 years meant he was God, the judge jury and executioner. I will never recommend LVAC to anyone. There are so many instances of hispanic guests and employees showing extreme contempt and hostility to me, it has taken the fun out of working out, which is something Im pretty good at. Ive never seen anyone else jump rope at any of the 4 locations I visited. I dont appreciate your hostile employees getting way too close to me and threatening violence, then sarcastically saying "thank you" when I said my membership ends at the end of the month and you wont have to see me again. My first impression of LVAC was very positive, but over time I have realized that it is time to leave not only Las Vegas, but the United States. I was ganged up on by the hispanics at the gym. It was 5 against me when all was said and done, and the outright contempt and hatred they showed me is sickening.

Ok, I must say that Gym wise, LVAC is great. I love that its open every day out of the year, I love the womens gym, I love the group fitness classes and trainers. Those are the pluses. Heres the negative points. Customer service from the weekend staff that Ive encountered at this location is TERRIBLE! They do not believe in being curteous to members. I forgot my gym ID card one day and even though I was willing to give the front desk staff my ID number, they would not accept it considering that they do have a picture ID of me in their systems. Considering that I AM A CURRENT ACTIVE PAYING MEMBER!!!! The weekend manager is extremely rude! He specifically told me that he chooses his employees not to use common sense, and when I asked him to write his name down on a piece of paper for me, he threw the pen at me and told me to do it myself. Here are more things, their sales practices are unethical! The sales staff tell members that are signing up that they can cancel at any time. This is NOT TRUE. Any way they can make money off you they will. I know for certain that a lot of members lose their member ID cards, and a lot of times its because they left them at the front desk for a towel. If the member forgets their card, the gym turns it into corporate, then it gets thrown in with hundreds and hundreds of other membership cards that members have lost or forgotten. The only other choice the member has is to BUY a replacement card. I can go on and on, but Im just going to stop right there.

Wife and I were club members for several years. We have witness how years ago they started to offer these incredible low rates for gym membership. Free for Women ? A load of BS that are selling. Nothing is free, unless you want to use their bathroom( ha not even that either) The so called sales reps are rude and obnoxious. You have sales people either dont care attitude or pressure tactics. Then the company tricks people in to these plans that are contracts. They legally trap you into a contract you can not break without a high penalty. They will charge you a full year of membership fees for trying to get out of a contract with them,$800 plus. Which they hand you over to a local collection company who then harrasses you. Dont like they way they treat you like trash, too bad they want their money. Oh you missed a payment, you cant come in then. Have an issue you have to go all the way down in the hood off sahara to get it resolved. Most likely you go down there just to waste your time. The equipment is old and often broken. These gyms are more like a pickup joint. People dont even how to use the equipment properly which can cause injury. The trainers running around flirting with every overly exposed women they can find. Bottom line bad shady business practices, bad customer service, cheap equipment. We would never go back again. Dont buy any of these positive ratings, Ill bet they are paid for to drown out all the bad real statments and reviews. Shady !!

On Sunday, Feb 12th...my Key-Lock locker was broken into, and over $300 was stolen from my wallet; luckily no credit cards nor identification. The Club Manager was shocked, since it was a Key-Lock and not a Combination-Lock. The metal face-plate was twisted so badly you could barely open the locker. Mine was one of three thiefs known that afternoon between 1-3PM. Yes; during broad daylight, when weekend staffing is minimal. Corporate Management is NOT liable, and will not make any compensation. When I filed my report with Metro; I was informed that this is more common than members know about. So, for your safety follow Metros advice... NEVER have more than $20 in your locker. Bring only your gym membership card & license. IF you bring a credit card--only ONE. CAR thief is on the rise; please no valuables left in the cars. If you see any suspicious activity; please Report to the Club staff immediately. Use the COIN-OPERATED lockers instead (no reports of robberies). Be aware of your surroundings, and DONT advertise with fancy gym-bags, watches, IPhone, etc. Finally, Count how many metal face-plates have a twist on them or if the plate feels loose (that is likely a sign of a previous break-in). If you have any concerns; please address them to LVAV Corporate Office located behind the Club on Maryland/Karen. I have been a member since 1992, and NOW use precautions.
