100% a scam. Recently they have been holding off on auto-payments to charge late fees. DO NOT SIGN UP. So this month they have charged me over $70. My payment was made on the 1st of this month, THEY willingly cancelled payment the next day(June 2nd, 2016) according to their own records, on the site. I was contacted that same day saying that I never paid and was told to wait and see if the payment went through by the 3-4th and if it did then no problem. The charge went through to my bank on the 3rd, so I was charged the monthly fee. Problem over? NO. They wait EXACTLY 9 business days and charge me PART of my monthly payment then wait until the grace period is over(10 days) and then charged me an additional time plus a late fee. When I called them to explain the problem suddenly it was MY fault for not having enough in my account, but according to my bank I had all the funds and the payment was cancelled by LVAC, it wasnt declined by my bank. So apparently its MY JOB to go in there to prove that they have terrible record keeping or they wont refund me my money. This is the second month they have done this and BOTH times my bank shows that LVAC cancelled payment and waited 10 days to charge me. Apparently this GROSS NEGLIGENCE isnt enough to void the contract, because again everything is my fault according to their corporate office. So if you want to be scammed out of your money and take a day off of work to deal with bullshit charges LVAC is the gym for you.

DO NOT SIGN UP!! Nothing short of a doctors note saying you can never use the gym for the rest of your life will get you out of this contract. Even then, the fee costs too much! I would select negative stars for this shady gym. When I signed up I walked in with a new co-worker, turned out she was not 18 yet. I had no idea until we were talking with the scam-artist employee. Instead of being happy with one shady deal with my sign up, he told us I only had to sign my name on her form for her to come when I am there. I even asked what would happen if neither of us worked at our part-time jobs anymore, how could we close our accounts? He said that would be no problem we only have to call corporate and I would have nothing to do with this girls account. Two years later I toughed out the contract and NOW I AM BEING SENT TO COLLECTIONS FOR THIS GIRLS ACCOUNT!! I dont even know her! First off I was told this was NOT what I was signing for, I ASKED. And second since I obviously was lied to, WHY WASNT I INFORMED WHEN SHE LEFT AND THE BILL WAS THROWN AT ME WHEN I ENDED MY CONTRACT!? They were going to let me believe everything was fine until I decided to end my membership and NEVER NOTIFY ME OF THIS MONEY "OWED", I canceled my membership one month ago and I have just received this collections notice from an outsourced company WITHOUT NOTIFICATION FROM LVAC.

My fiance and I joined this gym knowing that wed be moving out of state within the next 6 months. After reading the contract and asking the employee plenty of questions (after a fiasco with Golds Gym a few years back) we signed the contract. We frequented the central location 3-5 times per week for several months. Though the gym was often crowded and sometimes we couldnt get on the specific machine exactly when we wanted, we were always able to complete our workout without any trouble. The womens section is nice and rarely crowded, though I preferred working out in the main area so I could work out with my fiance. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. The ladies locker room showers were GREAT! Always hot and good water pressure. They also had some added perks like soap dispensers in each stall and lotion dispensers at a separate vanity table. Definitely get a good lock as it is evident many of the lockers had been broken into in the past. But it was always clean! We would have kept going if we hadnt moved out of state and hope to find a gym in our new location as convenient as LV Athletic was for us.

Just moved to vegas and was looking for a place to workout and stopped in here to find the worst customer service and staff i felt like i was at a timeshare sales presentation. I was lied and pressured into joining which just infuriated me and ended up walking out on the guy trying to force me into a membership not to mention being a huge sexist making strange comments about women the whole time. Heres my review. Score 0/5 Pros: decent prices if you want to be locked into a 40 month contract that you will never be able to get out of, good location for me in central vegas Cons: Terrible customer service, terrible staff, pool is tiny, no basketball court, charge for racquetball, dirty people, go somewhere else and save yourself a headache of these low lifes Check out UNLVs athletic center 6/5 - anyone can join(which he told me you have to be a student to join - which is a blatant lie) awesome gym, olympic size pool, great courts, great classes, month to month commitment, great place in general

Very unhappy. My credit card got stolen and had to deal with all those issue. My auto payment declined... I tired to fix it when I went into the gym the next time. Guess what you cant pay at club have to call corp. office. and if thats not bad enough I get charged a penalty for it even though I tried to give payment. They can take my payment at gym when I started but now they cant? I work odd hours and not available during business hours. So finally get time to call and take care of it today to be told to bad they already tried to process it that same day and get penalized for that as well. The finally "as a courtesy" will give me a credit next month off my bill but have to pay the whole amount now 2 month return fees and late fee. Nothing they could do about it . (better yet would do about it)... So I am upset im stuck with this gym and had convinced my daughter to join with me. Now I will tell everyone to go other places not this place... Very sad indeed.

I am a regular here. Frontdesk staff is usually friendly and quick. A good way to start a workout! I think the cardio area is very sizable, but most machines that have TVs attached, the TVs are not working. But all in all easy to get on most cardio machines even when busy. So after my cardio, I usually go into the free weight area for the next part of my regimen. However, this is why my review rating is average. The people at this gym NEVER unrack their weights and often leave the preloaded dumbbells all over the place. No one is holding these people accountable for gym etiquette. Its a shame I often have to unload 380lbs of plates off the leg press. Its gotten to a point where I stopped using those machines with weights left on them. The locker room and shower area is usually pretty clean. The facility has a nice pool and Jacuzzi. Most everything is well maintained. If they get their members to respect other members more...might be a lot better.
