wow, I wouldnt workout here for even free, absolutely poorly managed gym, they can get away with so much with your checking account, ruthless policies, workers dont care, service terrible, Criminals around your car, theifs inside whom I think are working with staff , illegal activities, and nobody cares for safety of the women. I can say the equipment is good, yes but Theres too many darn people here for any kind of pleasant workout. This place needs better management, They need to hire security in and out, Thr women were being sexually harassed so they opened a womens only side, I was intimidated by a trainer and he was trying to sell me steroids, he said if Im gonna work out here i need to buy them from him. Another traner offered me cocaine and told me it would help the workout because he out special vitamins inside. My friends car was stolen radio and many people car have been broken into. Another girl told me she will never go back cause a trainer followed her outside yelling all the way to car cause she told Him she didnt need any advice on barbell weights. They are also very clever with your financial institutions, and they legally get away with it. Be careful here, its s great meat market, But the place is full of strangers from all over whom seem to be very creepy. A gym is supposed to be a pleasant experience all around, not a frightening Worry of your well being, staff should be courteous, not people with attitudes If you want a protein shake or advice on working out. before you sign that contract maybe workout there for a week and see how it goes. I goto 24 hour fitness, this corporation is womderful, the staff is so wonderful and nice. LVAC workers are going to get in trouble with the drugs, I heard DEA is undercover Im there now.

These gyms are always kept clean, the equipment is state of the art. No complaints other than the gym is chock full onuts like the idiots who have left negative reviews because they were in a contract or late paying their membership and they were penalized! Thats the Anerican Way anymore. No one takes accountability! Its the clubs fault and they suck because YOU failed to understand the contract YOU signed or YOU didnt pay by the due date when they clearly send renewal notices in plenty of time. You simply make a call or go online and pay! You can avoid a contract by paying for a 2 or 3 year contract up front and then be privy to the $99 a year offer. I too was late paying once and now I pay $144 a year. That was MY fault! So needless to say, Ive been with LVAC for many years and was in the industry myself and if you cant get a great workout here you need to read a fitness magazine or get some direction! However, personal trainers are readily available (I recommend Feather at N Decatur, Claudia at Rainbow and Dori at Sahara) to help you out but man the douchebags are their downfall!!!

Im a member of Las Vegas Athletic Club for 15 years. I go there almost daily. The club is great, it has a nice track for running , all the work out equipment one needs, they have a special weight lifting room for more serious weight lifters, the ladies room for exercise, the general equipment room, and they are expanding to add more spaces. The club is clean, disinfectants are available in all spaces , I see the floors are being wiped down constantly. Ladies locker rooms are clean, I cant speak for the mens lockers. I would like to see some improvement in the pool water, which highly chlorinated. I know that salt can be used as a disinfectant for the pool water, at least it doesnt leave the awful odor on the skin and hair. Also, for 15 years the LVAC, kept to the agreement not to increase my fees, which is unheard of in other clubs. When I go to visit in Canada my friends marvel at the yearly price in my the LV Athletic Club. They pay huge yearly fees for the same or lesser facilities. So lets be thankful for what we have. When I signed up I was told if I ever wanted to cancel there was just a $50 cancelation fee to get out of the contract. I tried but I just cant find the time to go so I decided to cancel. Now Im being told that the $50 cancelation fee only applies if you move out of state & show proof of your move & in order to cancel I have to pay %75 of the contract which is like $600! Thats a RIDICULOUS amount of money to have to pay. If I had been explained this correctly I would have NEVER signed up! This is the reason people end up picking smaller, less attractive gyms that dont offer as much, because they dont want to get trapped & tricked into a HORRIBLE contract. I wanted to try them out because of all they offer but now Im stuck with this unnecessary bill because Im forced to stay on something I no longer want & am realizing stepping foot into this gym was a BAD mistake. They really need to get people who can explain to people exactly what they are getting into & not give out false information that I know have to suffer with.

I really dont understand the negative comments, must be a personality thing but must I say, I LOVE THIS GYM..its perfect and to be honest Im not huge on being around a bunch of people. This gym is smaller than some of the others but everyone I came across has been respectful. My children absolutely love the childrens room. They are my motivation to go work out because they always ask to go with the kids as one of their weekend activities. Anyhow, its clean! The womens section is excluded and nice! Theres a variety of equipment and the classes are tons of fun. My only complaint, I wanted to add another child to my membership and they said Id have to pay close to $150 before I could add her. Wish theyd give me some slack considering my membership will be paid off in less than 6 months.

This club is less busy than the larger ones with more equipment. It could be better but for the price it cant be beat. I have visited other clubs which are newer but much more expensive. Exercising is being redefined by crossfit and gyms as we know them must adapt or lose customers. LVAC and other clubs should make some areas for newer free weights, eqpt & room for exercising without machines. Im a long time member & exercise at home mostly now occasionally using LVAC. Change is costly so I doubt it will happen. For a new person you have to read your contract decide what kind of fitness training suits you. Visit different clubs especially at the hours you plan to use it. For myself, I have been satisfied with my experience at LVAC since joining many years ago.

THIS IS THE WORSE GYM EVER. THE EMPLOYEES ARE SO LAZY. THEY WILL NEVER WALK THE FLOOR AND CLEAN UP THE WEIGHTS THAT PEOPLE DID NOT PUT BACK. ON THE HAMMER STRENGTH MACHINE THERE IS ALWAYS 5 PLATES ON EACH SIDE BECAUSE SO IDIOT THINKS HE CAN LIFT IT AND THEN JUST LEAVES IT. THE HEAT IS ALWAYS ON. IT IS A GYM. WE DO NOT NEED THE HEAT ON. THE MUSIC IS ALWAYS TOO LOUD. YOU CAN HEAR IT THRU YOUR HEADPHONES AND ALSO 99.9 PERCENT OF THE PEOPLE BRING THEIR OWN MUSIC. THEY HAVE A SPRINKLER OUT FRONT LEAKING AND THEY STILL WATER. THEY ARE WASTING WATER AND YOU TELL THE EMPLOYEES AND THEY ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION BECAUSE THEY ARE ON THEIR STUPID PHONE. EVERY TIME YOU WALK IN THERE IS ANOTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BROKEN. THIS GYM SUCKS.
