The club and staff were fine but the contract will cost you thoudands. My final bill was $2,824.44! and thats after paying $74.20 a month for eight months. So I paid Idaho Athletic Club $3,416.70 for eight months of membership. The story gets worse, the reason why I stopped going eight months into my ridiculously long twenty-four month contract is; they told me my autistic brother was no longer allowed to come. Even though I signed up with him... And he was the reason for the membership. To make a long story short the staff and managers will tell you anything to sign on the dotted line. 1. My autistic brother was allowed to come with me when I signed up and continued doing so for the first eight months. 2. They wouldnt allow my brother to come anymore but said they would cancel the remainder of my contract. (they didnt and sent me to collections) 3. In the face of everything that had happened, Anthony at corporate said in spite of what I was told, there wasnt a cause for canceling my contract. Taking zero responsibility for his club, its employees, or the managers. Beyond engaging in bad business practices Idaho Athletic Club took advantage of my brother and I. From what I have experienced, IAC practices by low ethics and takes our community for its hard earned money.

Just signed up about 2 months ago! I got all access membership, so Im trying them all out. This location seems to be the busiest! The employees are very nice at the front desk. I told them I was new and a salesman gave me a tour anyways. I told him up front I was already a member, he was still extremely helpful. I could tell he liked his job and wasnt in it just for the sale. Tons of cardio machines and free weights! Even though as a member we are required to wipe off the equipment when we are finished, it was still very clean. Keep up the great work! I dont go to the gym for this reason alone. But the scenery was nice, a lot of attractive people. If the T.V. is on, your gonna watch it. right?! Just dont get caught staring. I also enjoy its not full of meat heads! That can be a intimidating. Overall this is a nice club. My only con is that I wish the basketball court was a full court. This one only has a half court. But Ive been to others with a full. There is a pool, hot tub, wet and dry saunas at this location.

ABSOLUTE BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY OF MY LIFE. I SIGNED MYSELF, MY HUSBAND, AND A FRIEND UP AND I PAID ALMOST FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS WITH A FEMALE TRAINER THERE, AND IT WAS A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY! THE TRAINER JUST SAT THERE WITH A STOPWATCH AND DIDNT OFFER ANY ENCOURAGEMENT. SHE WAS OBVIOUSLY BORED, UNENTHUSIASTIC, AND ANY TIME I WAS OUT OF BREATHE, SHE ACTED EXASPERATED (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ASTHMA, AND SHE ALMOST GAVE ME AN ASTHMA ATTACK ON MY SECOND SESSION!!). THE GYM ITSELF IS CRAPPY, THE EQUIPMENT IS OUT OF DATE, AND THE STAFF ARE RUDE AND UNRELIABLE. IT IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE AND YOU HAVE TO PAY WHETHER YOU GO OR NOT. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL, THEY DONT OFFER A MONTH TO MONTH OPTION AND ARE THE WORST RIP OFF OF MY LIFE. I WILL NEVER RESIGN WITH THEM AND I REGRET SIGNING UP WITH THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. I DID NOT ACHIEVE ANYTHING OR IMPROVE MY FITNESS SITUATION WITH THEM. DO NOT SIGN SIGN UP FOR TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE BUYER BEWARE ON THIS ONE, GUYS..

I love IAC in general. I went to IAC for a full 24 month contract a few years back and then decided I would look around and hopped between 3 different gyms in the area in a 3 year period of time. I recently moved closer to the Maple Grove location again and had emailed the company about wanting to get back into the gym after a break I took for a year due to personal reasons. I had asked about their memberships in the email and monthly rates compared to what I was paying before when I was a student and the first response I received did not make me very happy but then I received an anonymous call, if I remember right by either the owner, his son or the GM from the Eagle location which definitely was the most pleasant interaction Ive had. I read most of these negative reviews IAC has received and most if not all of them sound like they were given by lazy people who did not read their contracts and are trying to put blame on others. Im a lifer at IAC and would recommend anyone to give them a try!

The club I go to on Maple Grove is generally great. They gave my nephew a free pass to use the club while he was visiting for a week and the club has many amenities which I have enjoyed for three years now. I am only giving a two star rating because I have never had a good experience with the CORPORATE OFFICE. When paying your dues, you must do direct debit which the CORPORATE OFFICE takes full advantage of. While suspending my membership for three summer months, the CORPORATE OFFICE fudged and charged me for the first month, then fudged again and charged me for the third month. No refunds. The CORPORATE OFFICE went by the letter of the suspension- not the spirit which is to say, they erred on what would benefit them the most. I would offer a word of caution to anyone contacting the CORPORATE OFFICE for anything: The IAC CORPORATE OFFICE will take care of themselves and they have direct access to your bank/credit card to do it- "customer service" is not in their lexicon.

There are only two pros. The first is that there are a lot of machines, and they are positioned nicely toward the mountains. Gorgeous. The second is that this place is semi-affordable. Unfortunately, thats where is stops. The Meridian locations and the Maple Grove location are REALLY DIRTY. It doesnt seem that they do much decent cleaning in the showers or locker rooms at all. Maple Grove has the THICKEST layer of dust on every surface besides equipment. The staff at the Maple Grove location seem more concerned with their phones than paying attention to actually working. Out of towels for an hour until I had to go ask for one. Also, its always a game of hide and seek for disinfectant. Instead of standing around, have the staff CLEAN everything. Why would you pay them to stand around texting? If you have time to lean, you have time to clean.

I am a current member and it is an okay place but it does need some updated equipment. I am one of the many people that would like a row machine. also the other equipment seam to be falling apart. mainly the aerobic stuff. tread mills are old but work, bikes are old and are starting to act up all the time with the resestence, spinning bikes are a bit dated, the only equipment that seams to be up to date is the weights, but the aerobic equpiment needs an overhaul, I would not go unless I got a good deal at this place again, when they give you a tour really look at the equipment, that will help with negoitiation on price. there is a lot of gyms that have better updated equipment for better price.
