That Guy

If you value your credit score DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM unless they accept cash payments only without a credit card on file! Their ridiculous business practices make it hard to leave the gym for any reason. They essentially want 2 months notice, aka 2 months worth of service they know they arent even rendering since you decided to quit and arent going to show up for. If you dont pay it they report you to all the credit bureaus for nonpayment and attack your credit score. And its all okay because you signed a contract! If I go to a doctors office and dont like it, I can leave and go elsewhere, the doctor doesnt say I have to first pay for two more visits that I wont even be going to first. Pros: Nice equipment Cons: Unfair business practices, uncaring people that have no qualms about seeing you suffer financially if youre not willing to fork over money for services not rendered. If you need to quit the gym for any reason (death in the family, car stolen, moving out of state), its going to cost you!

The previous gym i was going to went out of business so i wanted to check out Retro again because i havent been there in 5 years, i printed out a free pass took time out of my day and headed over and they were rude at the front desk and wouldnt let me in unless i payed $10. Then i remembered how they charge for everything and put you on a long term contract. Not worth the stress

The Brick Retro has the best Friday night + Saturday night + Sunday hours anywhere. The workout here is often different to most of the other Retros due to having many different machines, some of which are a big plus and warrant the special trip here. It is often my late night go-to option. Also, when i go, it is not crowded and theres alot of room to move around.

Im being generous by giving this dump of a gym 1 star because it deserves zero. Prepare to encounter horrible staff, old and broken equipment, and smelly locker rooms. Dont believe it? Just look at all the Yelp reviews. A lot of people are aware of these scumbags who run this place. AVOID THIS GYM AT ALL COSTS!

The best gym around...period! The best equipment and staff. All locations should use this gyms equipment. It sucks that this is the only one with a sauna too. I dont understand why all Retro locations arent based on this gyms layout and machine lineup. The rest just suck.

Horrible customer service. They make you feel like youre being a hassle just to ask a question or make a purchase. I understand they probably only make $10 a hour but they should learn some respect before they are on the streets and out of business.

They asked for cancellation in writing when i moved so i wrote something up and handed it to the desk. Over a yr later i had to pay over $200 to a collection agency since they never canceled my account.

Was shopping around for a gym membership, none of the staff even acknowledge me when I came in to ask questions. Poor customer service!!!
