The true character of a company is not how things are handled when they go right, but how they manage a customer relationship when things go wrong. This past Saturday we called Hutchinson, that advertises 24/7 emergency service, for repair of our A/C/Heat Pump (that Hutchinson had installed,) and were told by the technician that the earliest this could be resolved was to get a call Monday during hours to set it up. I did not share that we needed the A/C to remove humidity from the air to make it more comfortable for my wife who is asthmatic, but based on what we read on the web about addressing problems immediately did not think I needed to.Needless to say we were very, very disappointed and uncomfortable over the weekend when we also had guests. I spoke with Veronica on Monday morning at 8:30AM (having to call since so one had contacted us) and she worked with me to connect a technician immediately for the work that morning. Shane S. arrived around 9:30/10AM , evaluated the problem to be a burned out fuse and cleaned the filter in the exchanger. Shane was extremely conscious of our previously poor service and was both apologetic and focused on making things right since he was surprised about the response we received on Saturday. As a result I signed up for a AC/Heating service contract to make certain we can be proactive about these types of issues in the future. Because of both Veronica and Shane, i once again feel good about doing business with Hutchinson

Adam M is wonderful in customer service, professionalism, and he explains all options and pricing before he performs any work. Very personable and experienced. Adam M was kind enough to (also) speak with my husband on conference/speaker phone while my husband was at work. He kindly explained all of the possibilities/options/pricing available for the plumbing/fixes that were needed. Please note that initially, when Adam M presented all of the options to me, some were very expensive, should the job have required that kind of labor/work. I let Adam M know that my goal was to start "small," and to first look for immediate problems/fixes that were much less expensive as a starting point, before having to move on to more expensive options/possibilities. Adam M worked with me on this, and he started small first. He recommended the dye test for the toilet tank, which he implemented right away after installing a new flapper, so that he could see and explain if we needed to move on to the more expensive options. Overall, awesome job! Thank you very much Adam M for your willingness to take your time in explaining things to me (and my husband on speaker/conference), and for your extreme patience and willingness to work with us in fixing what was needed. I would highly recommend Adam M to anyone. Thank you again!

Had used the year before - service was fine. This year, tech came out -WITHOUT CALLING (which is their policy), just showed up after I called 2 x. He was in bad mood, grumpy, tried to push his way into the residence when unit is outside. Never told me what cost would be before he started fixing unit to see if I wanted to proceed. He also insinuated that another company had been out and tampered with unit. EXCUSE ME??? really? Who says that? I called on Monday to express my disgust with lack of communication and attitude of tech. As of Friday have not received call back. Within 36 hrs unit was not working again. They rescheduled to come out Thursday between 2-6. By 6 no call. Called them and they were running behind and needed to reschedule to Friday from 12-3. By 3 no call. Called their office. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERs OR THEIR CUSTOMERs SCHEDULES. Filing letter with better business bureau and I want a refund. N

Very disappointed. Made a service appointment for today, October 20 to have our heater checked. One year free courtesy service was supposed to be completed in September however called office in August and explained we would be away and not be returning until this week. After back and forth, they said it would be fine and scheduled appointment for today. I put it in my calendar so we wouldnt forget. We were supposed to have the first service call between 8:00-9:00. Thought it was odd that we did not hear from them yesterday to confirm. Needless to say when they did not arrive, we called the office only to find out that they had no record of an appointment for us. Funny how when they want to sell you something (heater, air conditioner, hot water heater) they are here in no time, but forget to come and check the unit as promised.

Wes T is the best tech we have ever dealt with. He has been servicing our HVAC system from many years and is always on time, courteous, and knows what hes doing. Recently our system was not holding heat during a cold snap in the northeast. Wes found the problem (which was not easy to diagnose) and got us back up and running. A few hours later we had an error code and the temperature in our house started to drop again. We called Wed (after hours) and he was back out at the house in 30 minutes. Wes found the problem and stayed to be sure it was completely corrected. We have live in 10 different places in the last 20 years, have dealt with dozens of services providers, Wes T is far and above the most competent and friendly. We highly recommend Wes T and Hutchinson Pluming Heating Cooling. 5 Stars!

The technician arrived and fully inspected our a/c unit. Being that it was 30 years old, he tried everything in his power to make it "get up & go". But its power "got up & went" a long time ago. He was professional and took time to answer our questions. There was no "sales pitch" which was very important to us, because we had moved into our home only 24 hrs earlier and did not need a salesman. We needed air conditioning ! He had knowledge about the appliance he was working with & wed recommend him to anyone who needs assistance in the future. Even though he couldnt give us our air conditioning back , it was so understandable , do to him explaining every step of the issues. We will budget for a new system and call Hutchinson to see if he can do the work when we are ready. Thank you.

I have a yearly contract with Hutch, and Marcus came out Wed for the Winter service. Wow! He gave me tips, advice, and practical help to keep myself nice and warm and my HVAC well-maintained. For instance, a little vinegar or Clorox will keep water clean as it drains out of boiler; no skunky water means no buildup to create problems down the road. Assuming rightly that I want to know as much about my system as possible, Marcus professionally conducted the service and happily summarized results. Of course, I have trouble really keeping up and understanding the complexities of HVAC, but I appreciate the respect and enthusiasm from this representative assuming that I want to be a knowledgeable partner in maintaining my home and keeping it comfy! My laundry room had water leaking all over the floor and it was was determined that the AC Condensation in the furnace was blocked I had no idea where the water was coming from. I had a friend tell me what the problem was. I called Hutchinson on Saturday and took off work that Monday, the first technician cleaned it out but couldnt find the value outside, I live in a Condo, he may be new at his job. I think its a PVC Value? He thought it was fixed. I went out and came back there was water on the floor again. I called Hutch back and they sent Ben Palfy, I was happy to see him, he knows his job well and is always professional I was glad that they sent him I didnt want to take another day off from work. He is a professional and he knows his job well!
