OUTSTANDING. The facility and staff are Outstanding. Between my two children, our family has been there 7 years and we have been so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our kids. Both of them attended Kindergarten there and were reading half way through the year--the curriculum-based daycare has given our children a tremendous headstart academically and we are thrilled. The staff are conscientious and accommodating, the center is pristine and warm and our kids have enjoyed so many good times there. We both work full time and I do not regret one penny that has gone to the center that ensures safety, a loving environment and an education to our kids!! We all have occurences of a negative nature in the pre-school and Kindergarten years--the children can take spills, have accidents and any number of things can happen--its typical. In our case-Rainbow staff has always responded to situations quickly, respectfully and correctly. I cannot say enough about the center and how terrific the experience has been. One thing I have learned in the day-care process is that as a parent, you also get out of it what you put into it. Just because you are paying for a service does not mean you should find every negative aspect you can and exploit it because you are a customer. Ive seen day care workers and care-givers who were treated well and respectfully by parents and staff who were treated disgracefully right in front of me and other parents--humiliating for everyone. If you want a happy, safe, loving place of learning for your child, send them here! And if you have respect for the people who work so very hard to give your child a great environment when you are not there, your experience will be that much richer!!!!

I want to be fair, we really did like Lightbridge Academy and we wanted things to work, but there were a few issues. Our daughter was enrolled from about 3 months old through her first birthday. I would have given 3.5 stars if possible. First the Pros: -The staff was very attentive, often times bringing our attention to milestones or health issues that they observed -The staff was very professional -The staff was very loving toward our daughter (shout out to Ms. Ebony, Ms. Karen, and a few other ladies whose names currently escape me) -Web-based cameras that allow you to check up on your child at any time -Tadpoles program and phone app that allows you to see feedings, changings, naps, pictures and videos, and anything else that needed to be communicated Now the Cons: -The infant room doubled in size about halfway through the school year -After the increase, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and were only able to meet the basic needs of the children -The curriculum that was promised to us was not used because of the sheer number of children present I cannot speak to the rooms for older children. If things had gone better, then Im sure we would have kept her there. The other rooms seemed to run very smoothly and the children always seemed engaged and happy. If you have a child who is walking and/or talking, then they will probably be fine.

I got a call from the day-care that my kid was hurt that I should come immediately to pick him up. My husband got there in 10 minutes to find out that he was crying in pain. 2 years and 9 months old kid. Terrifying. He was hurt right between his legs and on his thighs. Thankfully he was in diapers the impact was less. His thighs were black when we took him to the Dr. Dr suggested we keep him home and if he walks funny by that evening, take him to the emergency room immediately. Spoke to the teacher of the class and she said, she was not sure what happened, does not remember who fell on whom, but it was not bad from what she saw. She knew who the kid was but that is all she can say. Obviously lying. I think they need to change teachers and hire more professional and caring people with some level of experience. They dont want to pay so their teachers are less qualified.

I love this center and the teachers are great! its like a big family with smiling faces, kindness, encouragement and lots of hugs. I love all the classroom activities and the parents are always invited to special events like the Fall Festival, Parent Workshops and the Holiday Show. My last day care did not offer anywhere near as much, so happy I switched.

It is NOT a nurturing daycare at all. When you first have a tour of the place, you may think that it looks good. In fact, the teachers turnover is high. For those who have been there long enough to be promoted as lead teachers are actually not caring. Other rainbow centers may be good, but not this Cranford one.

I am a long-term parent and really appreciate the efforts made by the staff and admin to keep us parents connected.

Day care workers pleaded guilty to child abuse charges on September 2016. This does not sound good.
