So disappointed. They steal so many packages. I had cameras installed in front of my house (due to hit and run car accidents happening in front of the house) and caught the mail person opening my package, smile, and go back into the mail truck. Who does that? I thought I was being pranked. That they were just playing. I mean it was broad daylight. Nope. They opened it, took it out of the package, went inside of their mail truck, and drove off. Wow these ratchet thugs are bold! After I confronted them with the footage they swore up and down it was not them. That truck must have been stolen. That mail person must have been cloned. The camera is a lie. It must all be a dream. I am delusional. Had to call the police after they told me my package never got to their facility (yet the tracking number showed it got there and I even had the mail theif on camera---my name and address on the package and everything). That was when they fessed up and brought out my completely opened and used items (smh). Disgusting, and heartbreaking. Its illegal to steal mail and open packages to steal items yet these thugs (pretending to work at the post office) do it everyday. Irvington is so ratchet I cant. Even the broken roku player that I was sending back to Amazon got stolen in their hands!!!! It doesnt even work yet they went through all the trouble to steal it. This doesnt happen anywhere else I go. Even the Newark post office is more professional and less Theivin than them. Dear God help these folks. There literally needs to be cops inside the post office to check these ghetto hood rats damn! I bet they would steal a pair of dirty bloody panties from a fancy Victoria secrets box and wear it thinking they slick and scored "luxury red panties." Sick bastards. Theivin fools. Rude liars. This branch doesnt even deserve a star. They take breaks at the worst time. They dont prioritize on guests and would rather make people wait longer to finish a private conversation. When waiting in the pick up line when told by the only teller they dont even try to page or call someone to come to the widow. Its 8:50 am 2-3-16 and I can hear staff members complaining saying they just want to go home. They need a bell honestly to force them to pay attention. Whoever they have as the mail carrier always just claims to attempt delivery but I can be home all day with no knock, rung doorbell, or notice for pickup and no one on my street even get a shred of mail. Im typing this as I stand in a pick up line of 11 people excluding myself. Ive asked if I could just get a P.O Box to just have all my mail and packages forwarded to reduce all the wasted trips looking for packages that track to the office but are apparently are in the delivery drivers personal car and was told they wouldnt hold packages for me. How can you not when its already held for "attempted" delivery? This branch just needs a fresh wipe for staff or to just to close, Id rather drive, walk, take public transit to a farther branch that does the job they are paid for correctly. If I could force all packages to be sent through fedex, ups, or DHL I would.

Thats the worse post office service location I had ever have to deal with. Is the 3rd time, they keep a package of mine for weeks and wheb you call them they never know where the package is at. They rude as f*** and after dealing with their ugly attitude they expecting you to be so greatful for delay your packages for weeks. I honestly think the delivery man so chill and bring back all the package to the office and the manager is not capable to check on those employees duties. They never puck up that phone, so you have to go to the office and then will not be able to get your package because they dont even know where it is. Not even know if it is in the truck or somewhere in the office. So youll have to wait another week. This is immensely pathetic This is the 3rd time I have to deal with those people, not because I want vut because fedex and ups have a partnership with usps and now even you pay $5.99 for shipping, package that are not heavier than 5 pounds will come through usps.... Terrible and big more terrible...

This post office should be shut down by far the worst experience ever. I received a notice I call the next day they tell me it was delivered however it was CERTIFIED. So then the lady says "oh no it wasnt delivered the mailman hit the wrong button" I said what ? She then tells me to call in the am to speak to him . THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. So I go down there on saturday they search and search then say they cannot find my CERTIFIED mail anywhere and I need to call Monday morning to speak YET AGAIN to my mail carrier THEY NEVER ANSWER ...The man at the window said " oh sometimes our carriers do stupid things" I said that is the most inconsiderate thing you could say to a customer who is looking for CERTIFIED mail which is time sensitive. Smh IRVINGTON IS THE WORST . OH AND I STILL DIDNT RECIEVE MY MAIL

I have been in my home for the past 8 years. We had a great postal worker service the area. About 7 months ago, we now have some thug delivering mail and it has been a nightmare since. I get mail from other, others are brining me my mail because it was being delivered to the wrong address. I noticed him one day when I was off and approached him about the mishandling of mail. He was very defensive, claiming that ensures the mail is delivered to the right mailbox. I watched him that day and noticed that he does not even look at the envelopes when putting th email in boxes. Now I am finding out from my insurance company that (2) check were mailed to my home this winter and I have not received any of them. Perhap the worthless thug stole it, or his lazy incompetent self delivered it in the wrong box....

If i could give this office a negative star I would. I went to pick up a package today for my mom which is disabled and ca not pick it up by herself to find out that I have to have her drivers license to pick up her package. The manner in which the young lady told me the information was so disrespectful and this was while she was on her personal cell phone asking the other person on the other end of her cell phone conversation, "what do you want you told me that already, what do you want." Chewing gum and wearing her fitted hat backwards I dont mind, but the level of disrespect was uncalled for. I repeat, the worst USPS location I have ever entered!

This place is terrible everyone has a nasty attitude, they keep important packages without even leaving a slip its arrived to the post office. So my suggestion track it online also even if you track it online they will say its not there. Even though you tell them it is so you have to refuse to leave give your tracking number , wait while they take as many customers they can before you in hopes you leave. After noticing you wont they go get your packages angrily. If you ask for the supervisor they say they are the supervisor, very unprofessional. Mail just not safe there I cringe anytime im waiting on a,important package sad.
