I stored my items at the Jersey City facility for 18 months. When I went to retrieve them, I found that a rat had entered my unit and left droppings in several bags. I complained to the management who told me to contact the insurance company. The insurance company sent a letter stating that their insurance DID NOT COVER RODENT DAMAGE. I had to throw away several bags of belongings. After everything was moved out of storage, I called the manager in to inspect the unit. My movers and I pointed out that the floor of the unit was covered in rat feces. She acknowledged that she saw the feces. I then wrote a letter to the corporate office asking for restitution for my damaged goods and have received ZERO response. DO NOT use this facility.

I have rented a unit in this location, ITS A BIG MISTAKE , First they didnt honor the prices on my paid online reservation, 2nd the units are dirty, I saw rats droppings after a week, 3rd I believed they have master keys( because you cant use your own lock, you have to buy it from them) I lost several boxes, insurance is useless, 4th staff are rude and dishonest, After a long drive on a rented truck, tired and hungry, I have no choice.I have to unload my stuff so I can rest. after that the nightmare begins.I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO MY FRIENDS, Dont be lured by their nice front office building, you will regret it.

Customer services was better when it was called Smartstop storage. Not taking anything away from Extra Storage. I didnt need my unit anymore, so I cleaned it out. There was mouse dropping everywhere. I couldnt believe how much there was. It was on top of everything. Very lucky I had everything in containers but not my rug. My rug was damaged. That would be my only issue with this place. If they could get the pest issue under control. I would consider renting here again. The images of all that mouse dropping everywhere couldnt allow me to give them a 5 star review. Its was very bad....

This place is awesome and super clean!! As I went in for the first time and was assisted by JOSE who was extremely helpful and was very understanding to all my needs. He helped and walked me through all the information which was confusing. He got me the right amount of space needed and made sure I was assisted in a professional manner. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is in need of a clean and germ free space. Thanx JOSE!!!!!

Great Staff Facility does Need Work but Its out of The Staffs hands , the staff were very helpful ,friendly, solved every issue (within their power) that Ive ever had . Prices arent too bad . They need to be more competitive though.
