"Package handler" does not mean handling or sorting mail. It means standing in a hot truck, lifting & stacking heavy / large boxes, weighing 50 + pounds. The pace expected is double time. Unsafe conditions - The lighting is dim, the summer temp inside is 100 - 120 degrees ( which leads to tired, overheated employees and accidents ), depending on your shift ( few fans & theyre usually turned off, unless you are mgmt, working in an air-conditioned office ). They ( HR and training supervisors ) repeatedly discouraged staff from filing disability or work comp ( during the training sessions), if you get hurt. They also repeatedly said that injuries and deaths are the employees fault ( if you need proof, do an online search of "FedEx lawsuits" ). They have what they call a "no end shift policy" ( which is not on the job description, you find this out mid training ), meaning mgmt can keep you well past your shift, multiple hours, even if it interferes with your 2nd job. We were encouraged to quit our 2nd jobs by mgmt & HR, or dont work for FedEx. There are also no clocks, no watches, no phones allowed, so you never know what time it is, or how long theyre keeping you, until youre released, and you punch out, with your badge. They provide a ( used and dirty ) wrist scanner, but you have to buy your own gloves ( which seems like a basic protection that the company should provide, especially since some of the boxes that you are lifting may contain hazardous materials ). No bathroom breaks or 15 breaks for part time employees. They also did not let us fill out our tax paperwork to claim dependents, so the max tax is taken out. When employees, including me, questioned these practices during training, we were repeatedly told by HR & mgmt figures, "You signed up for this. We own you." What I saw and heard, while there, was very questionable ( possibly unethical & illegal ). It is definitely a sweatshop mentality, which is a shame, because you would expect these working conditions in a 3rd world country, not the USA. I would never encourage anyone to work for this company. Pay was $13.30 per hour, but not worth it ( knowing that if youre injured or die, this company will not accept any responsibility, and will blame the employees ).

Avoid this place if possible. We used FedEx to ship a new expensive Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa motorcycle rear tire in plastic wrap to an eBay buyer 12 miles from this center and guess what???? They claim to have lost the tire!!!!!! How do you lose a tire that weighs 13 pounds and is 20 inches tall, 12 inches wide? Heres the deal they didnt lose this tire, one of their crooked employees STOLE the tire and now Im left with a $300 loss that this clowns will pay me a $100 for. These people at this terminal are criminals...stay away. Pay the extra money for UPS. Im going to write a letter to the regional manager and his supervisors if necessary to attempt to make myself whole. Unbelievable how crappy FedEx service is, they just shrug their shoulders and say sorry while one of their crooked employees walks off with your valuables. Never again..........

First Off! The pay rate is OK IF, You Would Like To Work Full Time. But For Me Never Ever Again. Your DIGNITY Isnt Even Worth Working There. I Am 4 Feet 11 Inches, They Put Me To Load The Trcuks. Now I didnt Mind One BIt. UNTIL A FURNITURE BOX 6FOOT TALL Fell On My SHIN. I Told My Area Manger Erika Garcia what happened And She Told My Manger Angel, She Dont Believe. Am Like Are You Kidding Me. So she Made A Statement. The Safety Ppl Asked Me " So What Did We Learn Today! Am Like Are You Kidding Me, How Can You Ask Someone Such A Question, In This Time Frame. ANYWAYS I QUIT. I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THEM. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE WORKERS

I worked here for months and was physically threatened by superiors, screamed at, insulted and forced to work 65 hour work weeks after being promised 40 hour work weeks. And this was when I was a manager. Most hostile work environment Ive ever experienced. half the time packages dont even go out on time or are just chucked into trucks. Safety hazards everywhere. Never work here, never order from FedEx. The people who run this place should be fired.

Probably the worst terminal to work for. Contractors dont fix their trucks, forcing drivers to operate broken trucks or get fired. Many contractors are allowing a solo driver to run a team run, falsifying the log books. Many drivers dont speak English. As soon as you walk into the truck parking lot, you see the majority of truck are old and in a bad condition. Pittsburgh needs to step in and make some changes in Woodbridge asap.

I am so upset with this fedex place!!! It is Fathers Day weekend. How are you guys closed with peoples packages in there, without the option to go and pick up???? Ok I dont care if you are close for the day, but to not have one person in there available for customers to go pick up their packages as an option is horrible! My husbands gift is there, and there is nothing I can do about it because you wont we open till Monday.

One of the employees here decided to go off on my partner because she was Indian. Telling me she isnt a citizen because she is Indian, I should have died overseas with the Indians (Never been to India), and I should kill myself. I told her I served in the military. Her name is Jenna and shes about 510 and white. Not a pleasant person, and not someone Id like to have a my company if I worked there.
