This guys are the worst and most unprofessional people I have ever experienced in my ENTIRE life and I work in Manhattan and Brooklyn. They were supposed to deliver a package to my house and to keep from having them knock and leave (as Ive seen them do) I put a big sign on my door that said to ring the doorbell & I’ll get the package. This idiot of a driver named "Ford" didn’t do ANY of that, he just put the missed delivery notice up & left. Then when I called customer service at this location a rep named "Gabe" told me to meet the driver at Family Dollar a few blocks away in 15 mins so I did then these douche bags had me waiting outside in the rain for 45 mins & turns out the driver told the rep "Gabe" said he was gonna be WAITING there for 15 mins & the customer service rep just said it wrong. Then after an hour of cursing people the out the driver finally says he will be coming back to my house to do his ACTUALLY do his job. Ive been waiting here an hour ON MY PORCH now for him as I write this review and he is STILL not here. I was waiting at my house for the package since before 10am, the missed package notice was timed at 1:32pm and it is now 4:09. Thank you UPS for wasting over 6 hours of my life. I really REALLY appreciate it

Terrible experience! I have been finishing final touches and adding some embellishments to a wedding dress for a wedding TOMORROW (Sunday)!!! They tried to deliver on Friday, while I was at work, and left the sticker saying I wont get it till Monday, a day AFTER the wedding. My rating is because the delivery driver obviously didnt do his job because I taped a large note next to the buzzer saying for them to knock on the apt door, if no one answers, PLEASE leave with the dentists office. He obviously doesnt know how to follow directions. When I called they said they cant do anything, and my package was at the main location, but they were closed. Because of this, I am now out almost $1000 for incomplete work, items paid for, AND a bad reference. This is a major hurt to my business. And all UPS can tell me is "Were sorry for the inconvenience." Bullshit!! If $1000 was coming out of one of their pay checks, I guarantee they wouldnt be so apologetic. DO NOT use UPS if you can help it. This is terrible service, and also not the first time UPS has screwed me over. A formal complaint will be made through a friend at the BBB.

Single handedly the rudest employees Ive ever encountered, and I work retail. Not only they gave me the runaround saying that I couldnt pick up my packages because my name didnt match (I recently got married and havent changed my name yet, but Im writing professionally under my husbands name) but then gave me no alternatives to rectify this problem. They denied my marriage certficiate. To top it off, when I called the 1-800 number, my reprensitive (who was FANTASTIC and super nice) said that she didnt understand why I couldnt pick them up. After an hour on the phone with her, she finally got in touch with this service center and had them call me. The woman I spoke to was named Theresa. And not only did she insult me on the phone calling me "un-lady like and rude," she just yelled and offered no help what so ever. The only good thing about this is that (perhaps, perhaps) I might be able to get the packages by using our joint bank statement with both our names on it. Who actually knows until I show up.

I realy love to be served by ups but today I met someone who almost fired me frome being seved by their company . I missed my importent delivery because my bell doesnt work . As importent it is I called the office to let them keep it for pick up . I isked permission to my boss to get my package. I went ther to pickup up my package I gave my ID to the lady to check for verification she said that my domicile address doesnt match with the mailing address .its not necessarily for my home and mailing be the same.I provided here my valide driver license which is importent for identification, if you dont trust me ,make a copy of my ID for any inconvenience. She said I have to prove with aleter that I live ther. is that peace of paper better than my DL made by the state of nj where may picture name ,DOB are? If I will be serve by this tipe of people from "UPS" I will not let my stuff be served. UPS is a very special Company to be hiring this tip of people .I was very disappointed.

Im pretty sure Dantes Inferno was written about this UPS store. Avoid at all costs. Drive 30 minutes to find another store. Trust me you wont be sorry. Heres the run down: 1 guy managing package drop offs and pick ups. A line of 15 people in front of you. Dirty floors, jail cell -like decor, and an atmosphere that reeks of frustration and despair. Newark is the largest city in the state of NJ... Why is this the only UPS store that we have? Im certain the UPS stores in the neighboring suburbs dont have to deal with such substandard conditions. Private arm guard hangs out on the side. I dont know how I feel about the armed guard. On one hand it is very unsettling to see a man with a gun in your neighborhood UPS store. What previous incidents have led to the hiring of this kind-mannered yet strapped gentleman? On the other hand I guess Im glad the UPS powers-that-be cares for my safety enough to hire this retired suburban officer. Thanks UPS.

It doesnt get worst that these people at this branch. UPS doesnt usually suck, but as you can see from practically everyone else reviews that these drivers would rather leave a sticky than ring a door bell. That could be bad enough, to have a package sent back because no-one is home even though you were there all day or in my case the delivery point was an office with a full-time receptionist. But, it gets more horrible, if you decide to do a Will Call and pick the package up at the branch. The line out the door is painful enough, but the people at the counter are the least helpful people you might have the misfortune to meet. DO NOT do a Will Call. If you can find another shipper or just buy the item where you dont need it shipped, you will be much happier for it.

We called to ask if they had our package they said yes, (after some run around.) Then when we got there they told us that one of there ups truck had the package for delivery. They told us to go follow the truck that had our package.(theyre rude & nasty) we left and went about away. Then the vender that send the package called us to let us know that the package was sent back to this UPS and we can go back & pick it up. When we got there to our surprise the computer were down. But it wasnt there, still. No one was doing there job right nor getting informed right. No nooooo communication. (Try and get new systems, get a way to have systems to get in touch with your drivers, learn communication skills. And be kind with the customers. "Customer Service"....)
