This to me is a joke and to gain trust and excitement for this location to open. As other people have said, constantly being told the location was to be opened in February, then March. I was recently told you all have no idea on the open date by you Customer service rep; she was nice about it and empathized. Although my husband and I are not paying for our monthly membership; we could have been informed better on this locations progress from a previous representative. Im very discouraged because If wanted to go to other PF locations, then I would have gone to sign up somewhere else. The execution of promotion, and marketing for this place was a little premature.

Shouldve looked at the reviews before I started a membership. I called today to inquire about their parking set-up. They seemed very confused. I was then put on the phone with a manager that yet again sounded confused and about 16 years old. He tried to help but was not really able to articulate to me what their current and future plans were for parking. He told me to call Monday. I asked if they were open yet (Today is 4/6/2017). He said no and they will open Monday...I really doubt it. I shouldve just signed up with the one in Elizabeth...smh...#DontDoThingsInNewark

I called in January and was informed that the hours would be 24/7 and that there would be free 2 hour parking off street. I was also informed that they would open mid February. Mid February came, I called again and I was then told Maybe March or April. Whenever I call no one seems to be sure if anything. Two weeks ago I called every single day and no one answered the phone. The last time I called I was put on hold for 10 minutes, I got frustrated and hung up. I tried to support Newark, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the unprofessionalism.

Gave this gym 1 star because i signed up in January thinking it would open in February. Then was told March they would open then was told April. Im wondering is the date going to pushed back again. I could join another Planet Fitness but i wanted this one to be my home gym. They should have just said back then they dont know when they are opening. So my qustion is WHEN ARE YOU ACTUALLY OPENING?!?!??

Joined, have not made it there yet, but the hours are a problem. Will be of no use to me during the week. I am going to have to cancel. I live in Newark, but I work nearly an hour away from 8 until 5. No way I will be able to take advantage with these hours. I had no idea when I signed up, the hours were not posted and I assumed it was more accessible. Impossible hours.

I was so excited when I found out there is a new PF here in Newark just a couple blocks away from where I live, I wouldnt have to do the trip to the one in Belleville... But then I saw the opening hours and got disappointed. I get home around 630pm.... -__- who closes a gym at 7pm??? At least try to close it at 9pm or 10pm.......

That schedule is terrible. I work, and then I go to college. I thought that PF would be the like many gyms "24hs", therefore, I would make it there right on time after classes, but the gym will be closed by the time I get out of class. What a shame..... they wont get enough income to sustain the local if they keep it that way.

Not liking this at all. The grand opening is today. They didnt open up at all. I spoke to someone who told me that I can go online as I did. I requested the 10.00 a month special and they took 39.95 off my card. And its not 24 hours. I want answeres now. I will be there in the morning. Pissed off

Took forever to open kept resheduling when too they were going to open, now place kind of dead cause not many know its open and its smaller than the most planet fitness and less machines but its good to go at night not too crowded or the mornings

Called the place several times and no one picked up the phone. The highway billboard advertises "cant sleep, come workout....." who goes to bed by 7pm? another billboard ad says "coming soon" Come on PF get your marketing and hours right!

Its great that a planet fitness is closed by my house I Join in January and also Got A personal trainer the problem is that you guys havent open up yet call today got voicemail need to know because it cost me 400.00 bucks for my trainer

Agree with everyone else I was hoping to switch to this gym but base on the hours I definitely wont, people either go in the morning or late after work. Unless the hours are change I dont see this gym doing well.

Had issues with wrong membership billing at first but worked it out and now I love it. Brand new gym, usually plenty of free machines, locker rooms are huge. Perfect walking distance from University heights.

The gym isnt open yet and will be 24 hours and have parking for their guest. I signed up and had a conversation with the employees that are signing people up. I was told theyll be open in Feb. 2017

if this was a White AREA do we really think it would take this long too open? Of course not. But bc its mainly people of color and they think we savages and lazy they played us. Im sick of this

10-7 are great hours especially for the type of neighborhood this location is in. I think a lot of the complaints here are from people outside the neighborhood. Relax and be thankful.

Reaaaaaallllyy long wait for this place to open, but even with all the bad marketing decisions its not a bad gym. It is very small tho. And the hours are horrific.

They are the nearest gym, and open 24 hours a day! It seems google needs to do an update with their latest information.
