In contrast to the first negative review, I had a positive experience here on 9/4/10. I found myself in the area, 100 miles from home, with what seemed like a serious problem. After about 2 hours of highway driving, my car was leaking what looked like motor oil and antifreeze. Before I headed back home, I wanted someone to take a quick look and just tell me what they thought was going on - did I blow a main seal, had my radiator sprunk a leak, or what? Being Labor Day weekend, the local Subaru dealers service dept was closed on Saturday. I called STS, and they said that they could take a look. I explained the situation, asked them if they could just take a look and let me know if they thought I could get by the next 100 miles with a spare case of oil and several gallons of water in the car, just in case. They took a look, and didnt find anything obviously wrong with the car. And they charged me $0. Im used to places like this seeing dollar signs whenever someone walks in, and with my situation, I was wrongfully expecting to be taken advantage of - I was not. They found no obvious oil or coolant leaks. I explained that I suspected that the problems may be related to highway speeds at hot temps (it was above 90 degress that day), but based on what they saw, they suggested that as long as I had spare coolant and oil and stopped to check fluid levels along the way and kept an eye on my temp and oil guages, I should be able to get home - and then have someone go over the car with more care to figure out what the actual problem was. I made it home safely, and need to get the car into the shop for a full going over. But I am grateful for the peace of mind that the quick look at STS gave me, and am also grateful for being proven wrong about my expectations of being taken advantage of. Thank you STS in Newton NJ. I have no idea what kind of business you do with other folks or in other situations, but you treated me well!

Went to have a door window replaced(Old one was smashed. I supplied the new glass) and when I picked my car up i noticed the rubber lining piece that sits between the glass and the door was missing! How do you forget to put back a piece of rubber thats 2 ft long? Did they throw it away? AND they said they vacuumed out the door, but there is still a ton of glass in there! It sounds like someone is smashing a china cabinet every time I open or close that door. I also had a problem with my car losing power and I wanted them to check it out. They told me it wasnt doing anything abnormal and they cant fix it if theres no problem. I took it to another mechanic and they immediately found an exhaust problem. I wouldnt trust these guys with anything. Go somewhere else.

Mik, the so called mgr need some customer service skills..called mavis looking for a price match on tires when it clearly states on their website they match any price. I was by mike that they will match a price if i came there with something in writing. Went to the store, showed mike the price and guess what he said i cant do that for that price and went right in to the mechanic shop without an explanation or even sell me tires close to that price. Well i called corporate and guess what they matched the price and even told me that should of been done at the store level..so needless to say i will not use this store based on the way i was treated by mike ..if you ever get rid of him please post it so you can increase your business..

These guys have always done a good job for us. We use them for our business and personal tire purchases and occasional repairs. I cant tell you how many other places, including the dealers, screw up simple things like setting the tire pressure or resetting the TPMSs after a tire rotation. I have a habit of looking over everything after we have anyone service our equipment, and the wheels were torqued and the tire pressure was correctly set. Would have given 5 stars, but there was an issue with getting the right tires initially. It was a distributor issue and not their fault though.

I recently dropped my vehicle off to get the brakes fixed. Obviously not something I can ignore. They kept my vehicle all day and didnt even look at it. They claimed to be busy but there was only one car in their four port garage. All the guys were sitting around when I walked in after them having the car for 5 hours. I left with it to bring to a different garage. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I know its the tail end of the business day, but if you receive a call for me asking if its possible for me to still get an oil change and you say that I can if I show up before a certain time, and I show up before that time… It seems reasonable that I shouldnt show up to have somebody tell me that in spite of what they said, I have to go home without receiving any service.

Had an issue after an oil change at the Franklin location. The manager was more interested in arguing the point instead of accommodating us and fixing the problem. Eventually I was able to get through to him that they needed to fix the car. All is well, but we will NOT be patronizing any of their locations any time soon.

Highly recommend this store. You can check their tire prices online and get an idea of how much the install will cost. Just make sure you are aware of the other costs like alignment, etc, that you may need. Staff are very helpful, place is clean and very convenient to get to.

Unbelievable! I do not recommend this place to anyone. Bad customer relations, low level techs, and product accountability is horrible. And DO NOT deal the manager Mike...he will not get things done. I repeat do not go here for tires, or whatever.

Damian was awesome! Just came from dealer that told me my tires were dry rotted 1200.00. Went to sts and they did it for half the price. The best part got in and out under 30 minutes. Will recommend everyone to them...thank you damian
