I do a lot of my own auto repair, but didnt have the time or shop for rebuilding a transmission. Their estimate for fixing my transmission was a little higher than all the others, but talking with the owner I decided he was who I wanted to do business with. The transmission ended up being in much worse shape than feared, (I stopped into the shop and saw all the worn parts) and everything that could be wrong with it was. But they stuck with the job, and got it fixed right. Even some transmission adjusters on the throttle, not even on the transmission, needed replacement. But they stuck to the price quoted and gave me my jeep back fixed right; its been more than a month and no problems at all.

This is my first review on google, but I felt like I needed to for Budd Lake Transmission. I lent my car to my girlfriend for the weekend and it broke down in Budd Lake on her way to her destination. Owen was exceedingly nice and helpful to her in a very stressful situation. The fix for the car was something that needed to be done at a dealership, but Owen went out of his way to call others in the field to try to get information about the problems the car was having and allowed us to leave the car there over the weekend before we could retrieve it. Budd Lake Transmission gets a top rating from me for professionalism and customer service. Thank you!

RUDE!!!! If I drive to a place and ask a question about a repair, the last thing I need to hear is "No, get your car out of here". I dont care if theyre cheaper than any other mechanic, if you treat me like that, Im not giving you my business or recommending you to anyone. This was also the first time I went to this place.

Would give this place 0 stars if it were possible. These mechanics only know how to swap parts. Dont waste your money a lot better places out there.
