Dealing with Phil and Hal specifically and Netcong Auto Restorations in general has been a truly miserable experience. I brought my 442 convertible to them for a stereo installation as they said they specialized in classic car work. My car was returned to me filthy inside and out with muddy footprints in the trunk, a dead battery and no one knowledgeable of how to operate it. They also installed the amp in an area that would not allow me to put the top down...expertise? I brought it back to correct the issues and they broke the center console and then blamed it on the tow truck driver. Beware of this company and the further excuses Phil will post to refute my claims.

Stay away from this place unless you want to spend a lot of money and wait months to get things done. And even then the work looks terrible. My car, after painting at Netcong Auto Restorations, showed bubbles within few days, car got an overspray from some other paint job in the next bay, I was charged for work that wasnt performed and the panels still do not align properly even after I complained and brought the car back. Terrible service, work and attitude. Every time you call them they just trying to get you off the phone with lame excuses. I do have receipts, photos and e-mail conversations to prove all that I wrote above.

I should have done more extensive research on this garage. The worst experience I have every had. I took a 92 astro van to them for a fuel tank replacement what a nightmare. Not only did they over charge ($1900) they damaged the vehicle. Now I know why they do not allow you test drive the vehicle - even with a staff member in the car or driving the car. Oddly enough if the mechanical repair went well I was going to have them "restore" the van as it has family meaning. Thankfully I am dealing with a professional shop now.
