First let me say I used to do tires for a living and Im a car guy/mechanic, so Im not only knowledgeable, but picky about who works on my vehicles, and how, especially with tires. I purchased a set of BF Goodrich 285/75 R16 LT tires for my F350 and also got an alignment done here after looking at a number of local places and pricing and gauging service at different locations all around the Kenvil/Flanders/Chester area. I was expecting to pay premium prices on a heavy duty truck alignment, and big bucks on high end all terrain tires. But, not only was the alignment 20% less than other places offered it at $91 for my big boy truck, they also matched local pricing on the tires, meaning I got my tires (which recently went way up in price) at Walmart prices, but from someone who obviously knew how to work on my truck and treated it properly. They went above and beyond in letting me check on the work, they cleaned up oxidation on my rims, knew not to put weights in more than one location per side on my wheels, told me how they had spun and balanced out, gave me a printout that showed how my alignment was before and after, gave me a AAA discount, and were prompt and professional. Sean at the counter took great care of me, they had to order my huge tires but had them next day and got them to me for nearly $40 less a tire than at least 2 nearby competitors. They also did not give me a hard time about putting a non-original tire size on my truck (I went taller but not wider and many chain places will not put something on that wasnt already installed these-days). I was completely happy with the service people, the price, the mechanic, and the product. Id trust them with my truck again. Definitely let Sean take care of you!

I was towed by AAA to this shop. I was there since 1:30 pm and they didnt even look at my car. I was waiting for an estimate for another hour and half. They took advantage of the situation by overpricing my repair. One ball joint part 72 dollars. The "two hours labor" 210 dollars!!! not even a dealership charge that much! They wanted to do an alignment which wasnt necessary and wanted to charge me 95 dollars more!! Total charge was 390.00!! But wait, waiting for another hour for the part, they said that I need the axle, another 300 dollars more!! That charge was not even lifting my car for total estimate!! Wait, it gets even better, they said that my car will be ready next day. I am from NY and I told them that I will pay the 700 dollars if they fixed my car that day. The person told me to "go rent a car", I was so mad, that I called AAA again and complained and they authorized to tow it to NY. Thank God!! After towing it to NY, I had another part broken which they missed, and I was shrive-ring for the what cost would be to me. The total labor and parts from my mechanic? $500.00 bucks for all 3 parts and labor. That American Tire shop is a freaking rip-off!!!!!! Wont even recommend my worst enemy there!

American Tire in Chester is very, very good. I have been a customer for two dozen years or so. They have nursed my venerable Nissan Frontier through 325,000 miles of Jersey traffic and potholes. My wifes diesel Bug saw 240,000 miles with their service with no problems. They also mind my beloved BMW sports car. Rarely do I have a service issue after they do routine or acute maintenance. When something isnt right, they fix it at once with no aggravation. One key to this shop is that they retain employees. I can count on the fact that the folks who worked on my vehicles have seen them before and know the vehicle history. All in all, I am highly satisfied with this shop and look forward to continuing a positive relationship.

These guys are the best! Quick service, reasonable prices and great customer service. Recently my tire light went on just s was leaving for a long trip. I pulled into their shop without an appointment and was back on my way within a half hour. As it turns out the tires only needed air. Although the shop was busy, they found time to take the car in, check the tires and adjust the air. Didnt charge me a cent. Previously when I the same problem, I brought the car back to the dealership where I purchased it. They required me to make an appointment and then charged me an hour of labor to put air in the tires.

We have been getting our family cars serviced here for over a year. The staff is happy to help and provides excellent service. I have never had any issues and feel I can trust the work that they do. Our cars are always taken care of efficiently and with great quality. The prices are fair and there usually are coupons available for an added value. They also are great with price matching. I was ready to order my tires online but thought to give American Tire a call. They not only matched the online price but saved me money on the install. I will keep going to them for all my car service needs.

I have been using American Tire & Auto Care for over 12 years now. They have been exceptional in maintaining my vehicles. I drove one to excess of 350,000 miles. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Another thing to note is that most of the staff that was there 12 years ago when I first started to use AT&AC is still there. That is very important as the mechanics and the office staff get to understand you, your cars and how you drive. That means that the service offered to you is customized to your particular needs.

Its hard to find a garage that you feel you can trust. But once you do, you really dont feel comfortable going anywhere else. I consider myself fortunate to trust American Tire and Auto in Chester with all of my vehicular needs. Brad, Drew, and the crew over there never pressure you to do anything to your car that you dont need to or make you feel ignorant because youre not a motorhead. As long as Im in the area, Ill never go anywhere else. Thanks guys.

We have been patronizing American Tire for many years. The same staff has been there for a long time, and we have always found them to be honest, professional, reliable, and welcoming. Call in advance to schedule an appointment to minimize wait times (although with comfortable seating, TV, newspapers and coffee, waiting is at least pleasant) and do look for American Tires promotional coupons, which appear in many local mailers. Highly recommended!

I came in to take advantage of their oil change special. They were very helpful and polite. I felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing and had my best interest in mind. They found a couple of things that needed attention and noted it the the costs associated when I was checking out. Unlike other shops, there was no pressure to fix these items right now. Ive been back several times and highly recommend them!
