This is by far the worst gym I have ever been to. Half the facility and a large part of the equipment is off limits to regular members. The staff is rude and obnoxious. I was snobbishly told I could not use pull up the bar in a room seemingly designated for X fit members at extra charge of course. I was directed to a more crowded area to a less effective pull up apparatus. It is very crowded and there is not a lot of space in the main workout area. So I proceeded to set up a stiff leg dead lift in a seemingly secluded area away from the main room in the X fit section of the gym that had ample space to accomodate me. I was then chased out of that area and was told I was not allowed to dead lift there and had to go into the main room which was over crowded at best and had absolutely no room for a exercise of this nature. This gym seems to try to discourage its more advanced members in favor of less seasoned members. If you are a hard core journeyman to fitness this is not your place. If you are there to take pics for social media, socialize and go through the motions of a workout this may be your place. I recommend the Wallington location where it is 24 hours and you are free to do as you chose hassle free. Too many rules, too many eyes upon you and not enough freedom to do what you go to the gym for, which is to workout. 0 stars. I only gave it one star because it will not publish unless you give a star. North Arlington location and especially its staff is lame. First time, last time for me and I live within walking distance.

If I could put 0 stars, I would. They do not know what they are doing, and they look for any way possible to take money from you. I am extremely disappointment in the correspondence and treatment I have receive from Retro Fitness in North Arlington, NJ. I was a member here for 3 years. I had spoken with an employee at the gym about canceling my membership in August of 2016. She told me that I was still under a year contract until the end of December, and that I could not cancel without paying a fee. She told me I should call back at the end of December. When I called today, a new employee, tried telling me I was still under that contract, and that if I wanted to cancel early I could but I would still be responsible for paying 60 days. I was extremely upset by this so I called the credit company ABC to remove my payment option until I straighten this out with the gym. The representative from ABC let me know I was no longer under contract and I had been month to month since September. I am not happy about being lied to and for giving me a run around just so you can get more money. This has been a horrible experience and I hope no one else has to share it.

Ive been working out here for over a year and a half now. The staff use to be really great and friendly...until they hire new managers. The managers now are the worst you can get. All they do is make up new rules everyday and yell and people for exhaling "too loudly". Ive been walked up on many times by 2 different managers that both tell me I need to be quite when I lift...if I wanted to be quite I would of went to the library. Also, the same managers that make up these new rules now made up a new one that they wont serve you water or ice at the counter. Its 2$ for every cup. thats just wrong, every establishment is required to give a cup of water. Lastly, I have personally spoken to these managers myself about my complaints and they dont have an answer anytime. They just stair at you like you have 3 heads asking a question in a different language. I DONT recommend this gym to anyone, especially training body builders like myself. They only discourage lifting for a purpose and give nothing but positive vibes to the people that are breaking there backs not knowing how to lift.

I absolutely love this gym. I was looking for a gym a while back, when my gym closed down. After looking on social media "Facebook & Instagram" page the videos of classes and much more that was being posted made want to go in and check it out. I did a tour and ended up signing up for the vip month plan. The classes are great body blast step with the lady instructor and body burn class with the young man instructor are my two favorite classes. These classes have me sweating out every ounce in me. This facilitys atmosphere is just great, all the members in the morning are friendly and united. They all help each other and make all new timers feel welcomed. The pretty girls at the front entrance & protein shop are just so sweet and make you feel right at home; same with the manager who always says hello to me. Ive been a member at "Results" and Ive never just felt right at home like I do here. Something feels different about this gym and its awesome. So far Ive recommend a couple of my family members and my friends from "Results" and they love it as well. This facility is great.

Signed up May 2016 because its close and my Zumba instructor, Jess Walsh began teaching there. Was told if you toured the gym you got a $10 Starbucks GC-Still waiting also was told if I joined that same day also got an Amazon GC-still waiting! I only wanted to join for the classes, I have most of this equipment in my basement gym and work at a Physical Therapy Clinic so I wouldnt be coming for that...They said I had to take it as they offer it-Nothing custom so=$19p/mo +$13 for unlimited classes. Figured maybe after my complimentary personal trainer Id be motivated to make use of everything, He NEVER showed and I stuck around after Zumba for 1/2 until my appointment +20min before someone at the desk said he was still in Parsipany-Very unprofessional! No one bothered to follow up either to reschedule? About a month after joining I injured my knee and havent been back since. This months charge was over $50 Where do they get off? Ill be canceling!!!

Became a member here in the beginning of summer. Signed up with a great promotion. This facility is very cleaned and well mantained. They have all the right amount of equipment I need, especially cardio machines. Staff is very welcoming once you walk in. Manager walks around greeting everyone in the morning at the cardio deck. Everyone makes you feel like were right at home. My daughter, wife, and now nieces have joined here with the updated package due to child sitting. Its hard to get my grandson out of that room, he loves the childsitters. My family and I really like this facility, its our daily routine in the mornings. This facility has great energy and Im glad to be a loyal member. Also there is no issue with parking which is great. I surely will keep recommending this gym to many more people.

Ive been a member of this gym for over 2.5 years. When I first joined I was coming only once in a while as a regular member but as I got comfortable I started coming more frequently. They have tons of machines, a decent size stretching area, treadmills with a great view of the NYC skyline, tanning, classes and shakes, drinks and snacks. There is also plenty of spots to park. This year I decided to upgrade my membership to VIP so all classes, tanning and child care are included. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond to accommodate me and make me feel welcomed. Alex, the manager is always able to answer any questions I have and maintains a professional facade at all times. The pricing for both memberships are very affordable. I would highly recommend this gym!
